There's a big poster outside this salon that advertises a promo for mani/pedi combo, and that poster lured me in. BUT: Beware that that's only for regular and no equivalent promo offer for gel combo. Be even more aware that the price on the list (or the price they'll tell you) is the cash price -- which is lower than the credit card price -- and they won't voluntarily clarify this difference. Make sure to ask the right questions because if you won't, they'll nickel and dime you, which makes me sad that this is the reality. There's also a $14 extra charge for removal of your existing gel polish (which can only be waived if you opt for gel service). And an additional $20 charge for certain gel styles (the shiny ones). Again, make sure to check. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I find the hospitality of the customer service here lacking. I rarely write reviews but I just had to. Despite the bad reviews i saw, I gave this place a try and this was the worst manicure I've gotten done in years and the most expensive. I did dip powder with gel on top. The gel was literally all over my cuticles completely covering them which made all the nails come off in 4 days. On top of that I was one of two clients in there and the two nail techs were sharing all the tools between us back and forth. The manicure costed $95 and I didn't even want to give a tip but felt awk so gave 10% and the nail tech looked at me and said 20% is mandatory so I gave more even though I shouldn't have for the worst nails of my life. The nails being horrible is one thing, but costly $95 was outrageous. Typically i pay $50 for my gorgeous dip nails elsewhere. read more

Very clean shop, great upkeep. Great prices. Not so great customer service. I paid $50 for a gel polish manicure and a regular pedicure (Sunday deal, normally $60). Both services were perfectly fine, you get what you pay for. I was a walk-in and seen immediately at around 1:30PM on Sunday, July 12th. Monica did my toes and the entire service from start to finish was maybe 15 minutes. I had polish on my skin and she scoffed when I asked to have it removed. Upon paying, I "tried" to tip $10, rounding out my bill to $60. Normally I would do more, but I'm not doing to tip really well for a service that I'm less than happy with. I was asked three times by Monica if that's all I'm going to tip her. I said I was sorry, but this wasn't the best service so that is all I am comfortable with. Upon running my credit card and returning it to me, it was literally thrown at me. I laughed out loud at what just happened. Monica actually had the audacity to throw it at me because I tipped her $5 for a simple 15 minute pedicure that didn't even involve lotion. So out the door, I ended up paying the $60. I received a gel polish manicure and a very basic pedicure. No true complaints for the actual nail work as I just got solid colors. I will happily come back, but I will just ask for someone else than Monica. Simple as that! All the other ladies were very friendly and welcoming. But great overall shop. read more

What else is a girl to do before going to a Broadway play? Get that pedicure feeling! I randomly walked in here and asked for a standard, no frills pedicure, and at $25, I thought, ehh why not? The place was SPOTLESS, inviting, and quiet enough for me to want to close my eyes and daydream if I wanted to. Be sure to ask about prices if they ask if you want a massage during your pedicure! It's an extra $12, and if you want the fast drying clear topical coat, it's $2 (I just said yes to this and saw the charge later on my receipt). This place was ok. The manicures where fairly expensive at $30 for a basic package. The foot massage lasted maybe two minutes tops, but definitely not ten minutes as some other people had. The place wasn't crowded but I felt like they rushed through our pedicures a bit. They didn't spend a lot of time shaping the nails and trimming cuticles (which I really need help with at 26 weeks pregnant). But it was ok. Just rushed!! For the price I wasn't super impressed but it got the job done. Three stars but honestly you can probably go elsewhere for a more thorough experience. read more

Enjoyed a pedicure on a Wednesday night in July. Not many people here at this time, so I was taken right away. Standard pedicure would be $28 and change, but when paying cash I paid $27. I have been a very loyal customer, coming here weekly for over a year, seeing Lucy. This past week I stopped by to make an appointment and four women who work there, including Lucy, who I waived too, could not be bothered to get up to help make my appointment...so I left. I decided, against my better judgement, to come back to get my nails done with Lucy today. I asked if today she could actually make time for me, a very loyal, always punctual customer. Instead of being professional and feeling embarrassed for treating her customer disrespectfully, she had an attitude and said, "you can see someone else to do your nails", the continued with, "it's not my job to make appointments for my customers, it's management's job and she was in the back. The owner needs to do the appointments, it's not my problem". Way to pass blame and make the customer not feel valued. Lucy, your job IS customer service, and clearly you don't care, and clearly the owner doesn't care, but you have just lost a customer. The great thing is there are a dozen other salons in a two block radius to go to..and with more competitive prices. It is a shame when nail techs don't have pride in customer service. And if the owner doesn't get a better system for appointment taking and correct the attitude of her employees, many more customers will be going elsewhere. Very disappointed. read more

We also got a 10 minute leg massage during the pedicure and a 5 minute neck/shoulder massage while drying. I got a quick-dry top coat also. The total came to $94 for the both of us somehow, before tip. The place is clean and I was happy with my pedicure and the polished finish, but just unsure of their pricing, which is upsetting. Went there several times last summer while interning for my biweekly manicure session. A friend living in the city recommended the place and I must say I loved going there! They had decent prices and the ladies do an amazing job. The place is very clean and has a relaxing ambiance so it always felt amazing going there after grueling hours at work. They are open till late on weekdays and weekends which is nice and convenient! The workers greet you and there is never a wait to get service. I thought the quality of their manicures were very good. I was in a pinch today because I broke a tip and wanted my whole set removed (I wanted them removed prior to that but it was literally the straw that broke the camel's back). I went for a regular pedicure and manicure. The shop is clean and tidy. A new plastic wrap was used in the bath for my feet. I don't think the equipment are sterilized. While my feet were in the bath the lady washed and rinsed all the equipment she used in there. I asked for clean water to be used for rinsing my feet but she did not do so. Prior to the completion of service I was asked to pay. I tipped $9.42 to round off my bill. She aaked if i had extra cash to tip and i replied that all should be on my card. The manicurist went and spoke to Angie the owner who came to me saying i should tip more because the minimum tip is 15% of service. I insisted on the round figure. Angie said I should bring cash for tip next time. She seemed angry I was paying by card. This should be illegal and the irs needs to be aware! Later my polish was roughly completed, my cuticle was filed and wounded, my fingers really hurt, no coating added as it should be and when I tried to complain the lady huffed and puffed. I was not greeted on my way out. I have to redo my hand nails later this week. Waste of time and money. I have never received such poor treatment. This is my very first review ever. It is a shame that a $10 tip is considered insignificant for a $117 service. My pedicure was nicely done for $29. I will not return there. read more

I stopped in for the facial on Saturday Dec 26, 2015. The esthetician, Angie, took me to a small dark room. Started to give me the facial and it was a very short session. When it was the time to pay, the esthetician asked me to pay her in cash. I told her I was going to pay with the credit card then she said, "Why don't you go to the bank and take the cash out. I will give you a discount if you pay with cash but if you pay with the credit card, I need to charge you with taxes." Who do you think you are to tell me how I should pay you? Isn't that illegal? Terrible! I tried Angie Nail on a pure lunchtime whim and it was so BAD I had to review it to warn others! I will start with the positive, the pedicure chairs seem newish and the place is clean. There are also tons of magazines. My pedicure was way below average. Each part of the process was extremely lacking. My pedicurist barely cut, scrubbed or even buffed my nails. She pumiced each foot for about 5 seconds; I find this totally unacceptable for a $26 pedicure! She barely pushed the cuticles back and cut them! I asked her to pumice my big toe and she did for 2 seconds and seemed annoyed I asked her to do this. She was much more interested in her personal conversation than my pedicure. She applied cream below the knee and weakly touched the skin. This can only be described a touching it was not a "massage" at all. She went through all the motions of a pedicure . . .but it was not a good pedicure or a relaxing pedicure and it was NOT cheap! Overall I thought the employees seemed unwelcoming and rude and it felt like they could care less if customers where in there or not! I hate when I try to treat myself and this happens! read more

Quite surprised at my recent visit to Angie Nails, where the nail technician ASKED me for a larger tip. I gave her an 18% tip once she completed my mani/pedi and she looked at me surprised and said "customers give more and you should give more, 20%". I was quite irritated and shocked at that behavior. I had asked for a ten minute massage and when I asked her to spray the massage chair where I put my face just to give it a quick clean, she literally huffed and puffed and said "I just don't like when customer ask me too many questions." Angie Nails is great. You'll notice if you're in the area that there are 2 other nail salons in the area - Hana and Nail Xpressions. I always choose Angie - it's clean and the ladies are really friendly! Some places rush through you and your mani pedi is usually more of a pain than a relaxing experience, but this is not the case at Angie Nails. The girls do a great job and I always go back! They are especially great at gel manicures, although I haven't asked for a design - if you want a single color, it's a great! They also have a great selection / mix of brands for nailpolish colors if you are not getting gel. read more

Clean surroundings. Basic. The woman that did my Mani /Pedi her name was Ivy. She was not trying to do more than what I paid for. She didn't even give me the quick two minute foot massage they give you during a regular pedicure. No real complaint though. I would go back again. Basic Mani Pedi was $36.50...oh wait a minute I did notice at the end of my services that they don't wash the dish they soak your hands in for a manicure. They just rinse it with water and put it in the drying rack to be used again for the next customer. Smh. read more
