Chicken fried steak... (hot sauce on my eggs)

If you yearn for an old fashion, 1950's breakfast place... you found it. They're pouring coffee, and sling'n hash! The food was excellent, cooked to order and fresh. This little 'hole-in-the-wall' is an absolute gem. They aren't trying to recreate anything, they're keeping breakfast real, the way your grandparents would have enjoyed it.

We had enjoyed Angie's on a previous visit, so we stopped in again. Last time I commented how everything was good and would be improved if they served the food hot rather than lukewarm. This time they nailed it. My eggs (over easy) we're perfect. The # browns were hot & crispy and the bacon was crispy as well. My wife's veggie omelette was equally good. And for the first time in ages, I had corned beef # that didn't taste like it came out of a can. And prices that are incredibly reasonable. Got what you may for an egg McMuffin meal, you can actually get a solid breakfast.

You have to eat breakfast at this place. I am from Tennessee and discovered this place and have never looked back! Omelets are fluffy, scrambled eggs are perfect and the service is excellent!

Pancakes, bacon, eggs and a cup of coffee with great service.Angie's Cafe has a down home feeling that makes me think of the good that's in my fellow neighbors.

Not sure how my review disappeared on Google, but this past weekend was not great. Went in and seemed as if everyone was lost... ppl got food before us that we were definitely in front of. Very unorganized and got very short, even rude responses...The food is decent but I've been in a couple times and it just seems as if nothing really changes...I've also seen a few bugs...

Basic breakfast/lunch diner-type restaurant. Casual, sit anywhere, good service, & good food. Lots of parking & seating. Good location.

    Yum time!

Good home cooked food at reasonable prices - I've only eaten breakfast but I suspect every meal is done right.

The staff are incredibly warm, excited to see you, and (time and level of traffic allowing) happy to make recommendations and conversation. New to the menu are the tres leches pancakes, topped with fresh fruit and whipped cream. You get three pancakes. They were fluffy and the fruit was delicious. The cinnamon coffee was nice! It was overly sweet and I was excited to have a carafe to enjoy and refill my mug. The Concha Rellena wasn't my favorite. The pastry is thick and dry and a bit overpowering with Nutella. My son's club sandwich looked good, especially the thick bacon. It came with a side of potatoes. My husband ordered the chilaquiles mananero. Overall, a savory dish, but liking the chorizo is key because it's a major part of the dish. For me, it's overpowering which eliminates half of the menu for me. The restaurant offers quite a bit of seating. Our server was friendly and attentive. The private parking lot had plenty of spaces.

Since Fuzzy has his own vodka, I ordered a Fuzzytini with olives. It was brought to the table without olives. I asked for them & the bartender replied, "I wasn't sure if I was supposed to put them in or not." The drink really didn't have much taste to me. Mike said it has horrible & tasted like vodka. I had trouble deciding what to order, so I asked for recommendations. The server suggested the shaved prime rib sandwich & something else. I went with the prime sand. with mac & cheese. Mike ordered the fish, chips & cole slaw. The mac & cheese was delicious! The prime rib sandwich was OVER cooked to chewy. The peppers & onions were small cubes. The melted cheese on top were 2 round slices. You can see by the photo. Mike said his fish tasted grilled, yet lightly fried. He liked it. The fries & tartar were good. He didn't care for the cole claw, but I did. The service was good. As we sat there, 2 more couples entered. Mike asked if it gets any busier. The server told us business travelers make it busy during the week. It was sad to see a restaurant with good potential so empty, but to me the food quality was poor. I would not return. Mike said he would.

This is a pay what you can, pay it forward to help others if you can, roll up your sleeves and work for your meal setup. So, you might think...ah, cool, enjoy your canned soup and turkey sandwich, I'll go to a "real" restaurant. This would be foolish. The food is every bit as good as you'll find in a more traditional, for-profit setup. They focus on locally sourced ingredients and have a seasonal menu as a result. The food is delicious. Menu is delightfully trim but with something for every taste (salads, soups, sandwiches, sides). Had some meatloaf sliders with pimento cheese when I was there that I'd like to replicate at home. My friends raved about their selections as well. Service is amazingly friendly and attentive. I'm not sure anyone's glass dropped below half-full. And the servers were happy to share the stories behind the concept, which showed the pride they had in the venture. Everyone is welcome here. Might have a table of folks in suits next to a table of folks stopping in from their factory shift next to a table with someone who's looking for a good meal and will be washing dishes after he eats to pay his fare. Just welcoming, casual, good-feeling place.
