My friend and I visited TW for 2nd time since it opened. Camberlin was our friendly server. My friend ordered salmon on home fries with mango sauce on the side, baked potato, and black beans. He said it was delicious. I was equally pleased with my chicken and Avocados tacos with refried beans and rice. Ambiance is okay with 8 TV's playing sports. The dining room was cool temperature, but restroom was hot. Camberlin said A/C is out, but dining room was okay for us.

Driving through and saw this restaurant. We had no idea what to expect but the parking lot was rather full at 1:30 in the afternoon. We were greeted and seated quickly. The menu had a lot to offer. I asked the server what she recommended. Steak tacos are her favorite. I went with her suggestion. They were delicious. The rice and beans were flavored very well also. Warm chips were served with a choice of three salsas. We tried the apricot salsa. It was yummy. My husband likes hotter salsa. We were a party of three and seated at a comfortable table. The restaurant was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely go back.

Due to a tornado warning, we decided to skip driving to Agave + Rye (big mistake) from Veterans due to living over 30 minutes away and needed to get home stat. So we ordered from what we thought was an interesting menu compared to most taco spots. Sadly, the tacos received were child size, yet cost $7-$8. My shrimp taco had one shrimp on it, and the rest sauce. While my chicken taco that was supposed to have quirky ingredients was missing said ingredients and the chicken was raw. I immediately spit it up and threw it in the trash. While my stomach did hurt for two days, I'm still alive. So, it luckily didn't kill me but there is a serious disconnect in the kitchen. I attempted to contact the business to discuss the order issues but a manager never called back. Wouldn't have left this review if communication was followed through on. I work hard for my money and was expecting a loaded high-quality $8 taco worthy of the investment. Torchys, sadly, didn't deliver on that promise. From the muddled flavors, missing ingredients, raw chicken, and dollhouse sized tacos... Torchys won't get my hard earned money again.

We made sure that the hours were correct, made sure they had food, and made sure that it would be appetizing for us. On our way here, I felt like I had taken a wrong turn on multiple occasions. Just turns out that it feels like you are going the wrong way until you come upon the plaza. Had to double check we were in the right place. Pulled up, parked, and walked in. What we were met with was not restaurant in nature. It was more of a store in transition with seating. As soon as we walked in we noticed the table in the one corner being used as a trash heap. Cardboard boxes broken down and stacked upon one another. So many, you couldn't go in that area. We also thought we entered here during their closed hours as there was no one in here, or so we thought. No customers and it looked like no employees. That was until someone came from behind the counter with a mouth full of food. We did a quick look around and pretended to be interested in the coolers before we left out. It did not smell as if food was being prepared in here. It almost came off as a convenience store than a place to grab what sounded like some pretty good food.

**BLINK AND YOU'LL MISS IT.**…read more Man, what an awesome little Mexican spot. Cafe Aroma is nestled on the strip of brownsboro right across the street from Taco Bell. look for the sign that says "real Mexican food" and they aren't fibbing on this. The fish tacos here might be my favorite in town done street style with onions and cilantro and does a great job of highlighting the fish; (tilapia if I'm not mistaken) so if you're looking for delicious, simple clean fish tacos this is the place. Leave your exceptions low, and not in a negative way at all as the atmosphere here could be off putting if you're expecting a glamorous sit down restaurant. There is a bit of langue barrier as Spanish is mostly everyone's first langue there but they do a great job of helping you through the process. Lastly, there's a lot going on here at this little spot (small convince store, money orders, calling cards) so don't be skittish and yes, I promise you're in the right place. Only down side is I can't have a beer with my fish tacos but grab yourself a glass bottle coke and you won't even miss it.

Of the 10 friends only two said the food was OK. The rest were very disappointed. My food arrived 45 minutes to an hour after everyone else's my burger was raw and I had ordered it well done. I took one bite and threw it away. When Management came to ask how everything was I deferred to my other family members because I did not want to complain then they specifically ask me and I was honest. They brought me a beet juice which was delicious. I just sold my café four months ago in Montana and anytime a customer was not completely satisfied. It could just be mediocre pub food, but the food here is very, very good. I don't know why, but when I'm in the south, I get the hankering for a deviled egg. So we started with the deviled eggs (Los Huevos El Diablo), which, despite the name, were not super spicy. They had just the right amount of spice. One thing to know about me is: If I see a patty melt on the menu, I will order that. So I got the Merle's Melt, which is a burger patty with cheddar and Monterey jack cheese, plus bacon and special sauce on buttered toast. It was sublimely tasty! It comes with house-made chips, which were good. They also offer tacos on the menu. One of my children got one steak taco and one chicken taco. The tacos are topped with tomato, lettuce and cojita cheese. I was told that these were very good! My kid eats like a bird, but ate one and a half tacos, so that must say something, right? The Lip Smack'n Mac & Cheese was also ordered, as well as the fried chicken, because the menu says that the fried chicken is award-winning, so how could we not? The fried chicken was super crispy and tasty, and the mac and cheese was creamy and made with large shells, which is the best kind of pasta to use for mac and cheese (in my opinion). The service was great, the lighting was great, and we were seated quickly, even though they seemed busy. It was a good place to have a family dinner in Louisville.
