Really darn good! My wife and I ordered the same items, the #2 Chilled Lobster Roll with Herb Mayo and Seasoned Lemon Butter. Nice, they advertise it as Maine Lobster (I believe it), it's served chilled in a perfectly toasted and buttered bread with a some of herb mayo and seasoned lemon butter, with Angie's Sauce on the side, and the meal comes with Fries and a Drink - for under 10 bucks! This place is a legit! Got lunch for the team today and was absolutely pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately it was a bit of a distance from work but fortunately it's down the street from home! Bonus! I got #1 (warm lobster): 1. sufficient amount of real lobster guys!, 2. the buttered bread was delicious, 3. the fries so good (I think it's my new 2nd fav), 4. Sauce was delicious both on the lobster roll & fries, 5. it comes with your choice of drink! Note: they don't have soft drinks but what they do have more than makes up for it. I had the energy drink, pretty good if you like carbonated drinks like me. Coworkers had cold pressed coffee - I didn't hear any complaints. I have seen Angie's Lobster advertised on IG and recently saw a YouTube video at this location, which made me want to try this place. I'm glad I was finally able to try this place. Angie's has their ordering system down to perfection. This truly is a fast drive-thru, but the food tastes like you're at a sit-down restaurant. The menu is limited, but very easy to order from. Once you get to the pickup window, your food is quickly delivered to you. The only downside is that there is no actual sit down place to eat your food. Luckily I do not live too far and the food was still warm when I got home. Angie's does not skimp on the lobster and it is delicious. The lemon butter makes it even better. I'm glad it's on the side because it helps get your food home without the bread getting soggy. I would definitely recommend this place if you live nearby or just in general and just eat in your car. Saw ads for this place and wanted to try out their salads and bowls. Got the Asian Chicken salad. Everything looked fresh with good ingredients. However, the main note in everything seemed to be salt. It was so overpowering it made it tasteless. The chicken was slightly dry and salty. The Teriyaki dressing was an overall abundance of salt and a weird underlying flavor. We were eating in, you place your order on your phone, the only interaction with someone is when you pickup your order through the window, otherwise I've seen other customers order through the drive thru and bring their food in to eat. No one sells a lobster roll for $9. The fries are crispy and the lemonade and cold brew are great. Today's review is about breakfast. I have wanted to try their breakfast menu since they posted it and got the chance this week. I opted for the French toast combo with cold brew. Two lobster buns dipped in egg batter with cinnamon were great and had a dusting of powdered sugar. Two strips of bacon and a decent pile of crispy spicy potatoes was delicious and all for five dollars plus tax. What a value. I was here for opening day in November of 2021 when they were working out of a food truck to fast forward this last weekend when I took two of my friends who were visiting (and LOVE lobster rolls!!) to try them out for the first time. But that wasn't all...the customer service and the people that work here are what really make this place shine. After we finished eating our delicious food, we continued with our full bellies to tour about town for another 6 hours before returning home and realizing that my dear friend who was in town from New York had misplaced her purse. Traveling with her fanny pack all day for ease and comfort and living out of her Louis Vuitton on the floorboard of the back seat, it had been hours before we realized that it had been missing. Now seriously, this could have been completely devastating and ruined her trip. We frantically traced back our steps over the day and realized it must have been left on the back of her chair in their seating area. Now it was 8:30p and Google said that they were open until 10p so we said a prayer and headed 30 minutes back very hopeful after that. When we arrived the front doors were locked but we could see movement inside and there was a car in the drive thru. My friend jumps out of the car, runs right up to the drive thru window, apologizes to the very gracious couple in the car ordering their about to be amazing food and says, "Excuse me but did you happen to find my purse?" And this wonderful soul replies back to her, "Are you the lady with the Louis Vuitton? Yes, we have it in the back." YESSSSSSSSSSS AND AMEN!!!!!!! Now they were super busy when we ate there and these amazing guys scooped it right up as soon as they realized we had left and locked it up for us and here we were!! And everything was in it!! Not worth it at all. I'm from New England and I know how a lobster roll is supposed to taste. For starters, ice cold lobster stuffed in a pre- toasted bun is not it. The bun should have been made when I ordered the lobster and it should have been hot dripping with butter. They could easily serve you more fries for the price you're paying but don't expect it so you won't be even more disappointed. First and last time coming here. For those looking for a quick recommendation on whether or not to venture to this Tempe location for a meal, the answer is a definite yes! Now, for those willing to stick around and hear more about my experience here at this location, as well as what I thought about the food, here it goes... Opening day (11/30/22), they're operating out of their food truck, right outside of their future restaurant building. Construction delays have hindered their building's grand opening, so they've opted to get things started out of their food truck, for now. Still, totally worth it. My husband and I ordered a Lobster Finger Meal, a Lobster Roll Meal, and a single Lobster Roll (to split later). The Meals come with fries and a drink. Your drink options are limited to two choices: Iced Tea or Fresh Lemonade. We opted for the latter. Upon the first sip, I found the Lemonade was slightly tart-ish on the back end, but once the ice was able to dilute through it a bit, it became perfect. Nice and refreshing. For me, I found the Fingers to be just slightly on the saltier side, but still edible. My hubby likes salt, so he said they were just right. The Angie's Sauce enhances the salt flavor, so if you're trying to cut down on salt or you're just not into salty stuff, skip the sauce when eating the Fingers. They're perfectly fine as is. Speaking of Angie's Sauce, I actually preferred it as a dip for my French Fries (which, btw was deliciously crisp on the outside and soft in the middle--I'm adding these fries to my rotation lol). I tried it on my Lobster Roll, but I actually like my lobster flavor to stand out on its own, so I opted to eat that as is, in the warmed butter roll. For those of you that are used to a warm butter drenched Lobster Roll, you might find Angie's a bit different, being that only their Roll is warmed, but their lobster meat is served atop chilled. Not that this takes away from the experience or enjoying the taste. I thought it was delicious, but my hubby is used to having Lobster rolls warm through and through (comparing it to our favorite lady's lobster truck, who'll be sorely missed across the valley). That being said, Angie's is a great replacement for what we thought we'd never be able to get fresh again, here in the valley of the sun. And at these price points, compared to other restaurants out here ($20+ for just the lobster roll; no sides), it's definitely a no-brainer. Run, don't walk, to Angie's Lobster! Kinda have mixed feelings for this place! If you're craving for a traditional lobster roll, you'll most likely be disappointed. Came in on a Saturday afternoon, stood in line for about 10 minutes, then got our food almost immediately. The food is giving Cane's but with lobster. The sauce that they give is very similar to Cane's sauce, just a bit more peppery. I liked the sauce with the fries and toast, but it overpowers the lobster roll for sure. Out of the two meals, I liked the lobster roll meal the most (just a warning that it is cold lobster on top of the warm bun). You get a good amount of lobster, the fries were nice and crisp, and the iced tea I got was actually pretty great and not overly sweet. Three of us got the lobster roll, and we all found some small shell pieces in our rolls. We didn't really find this to be a big deal considering how busy and how fast they are pumping the food out, but thought it was worth mentioning. I first heard of Angie's Lobster from a couple of news articles. Capturing my curiosity, I went to their website and liked what I seen: $10 lobster meals. The last lobster roll that I had was four years ago. It was delicious, but it was $21 just for that one roll. So the fact that the $10 meal consists of the lobster roll (or fingers), fries, sauce, and a drink was very tempting. Even better, the location is right along my commute route. I had to check in out! So, I've been here twice. The first time was three days after the grand opening. During that visit I got the #2: the lobster roll with fries, sauce, and sweet iced tea. The second visit was today after work. This time, I got the #1: four fried lobster fingers with fries, buttered bun, sauce, and lemonade. The lobster roll was quite tasty and filling. However, the lobster is served chilled on top of the warm buttered bun. I had to admit that it was a bit jarring, since I thought that the lobster would be served warmed. Also to note: the lobster is served without any dressing, no mayo or butter. The sauce is served separately in a packet, and there is a lot of it! The sauce had a nice flavor, but I only put a little on the roll so that it didn't overpower the lobster. The fried lobster fingers were also pretty tasty. They were crunchy on the outside and juicy inside. It had a good flavoring of lobster and some other spices. There was four fingers, so I ate two as they were and the other two inside the buttered bun with the sauce. It tasted great as a fried lobster roll! The fries were nice and crispy, a great addition to the meal. The sweet iced tea was very refreshing and lightly sweet, definitely my favorite of the two drinks. The lemonade was more tart than I would have liked, but it wasn't terrible. The sauce was decent. It reminded me of thousand island dressing, but a bit spicier. It did serve as a nice condiment for the lobster and fries. Service was very efficient. The first visit was standing in line for 15 minutes, but once I placed my order the food came out in ten seconds. The second visit I was the only person ordering, and the food came out in five seconds! The servers were very friendly during both visits. Overall, Angie's Lobster is great, but a bit short on being excellent. The lobster roll was my favorite of the two meals. However, I would have liked for the lobster to be warm as well, or at least given an option to have warmed lobster. But, since they are currently serving out of a truck, they most likely wanted to focus on quick service. Perhaps it might become an option once the dine-in restaurant is completed. To conclude, I would visit Angie's Lobster again the next time I have a craving for lobster at an affordable price. Before I end the review, please make note of a few things: 1.) They only accept credit or debit cards as payment. No cash allowed. 2.) They only two meals at the moment, but you can buy additional items (i.e: lobster fingers, buttered bun, etc.) 3.) The line moved pretty quick, which we didn't consider given the limited menu. Total we waited about 15-20 minutes and it was well worth it. I didn't realize the lobster roll would be cold but it was really good and well seasoned. The tenders were very good but had a slight kick to them. Really wanted to like this place.  So much I showed up for lunch on the second day they were in business and braved the line of customers.  People need to understand this is not a traditional lobster roll.  It has some spiced up sauce vs. traditional lobstah roll (mayo, or even  melted butter if you're in Connecticut).  Also, not sure if they have a couple different sauces as their photos show a pale yellow sauce.  My packet was quite orange (the color of thousand island salad dressing).   Nothing like I am accustomed to or like they serve up in Maine & Massachusetts.  The highly "seasoned" mystery sauce overpowered the nice chunks of lobster (and I used maybe half the sauce provided).  It would be nice if they offered a sugar free beverage as the iced tea is sweetened. If you're looking for an updated twist on a lobstah roll - this may be for you.  The lobster meat was nice, and they did use the New England frankfurter roll. This place is great! It's drive thru only, very convenient and the menu is easy, short but sweet! The quality of the lobster is top notch, very fresh and sweet. The price is right too! For $9.99 you get a lobster roll (warm, cold or fried), fries (so crispy!) and a drink, loved the lemonade. The only thing I can say that isn't a compliment is the amount of lobster per sandwich.
