Oh my! This place is embarrassing. Not a soul in sight when I got there. Employees acting weird. I felt I was Interupting whatever they had going on. I stopped in hoping for some seafood, but things didn't really work out. The first thing I wanted (shrimp cocktail) was unavailable. Then the second (steamed mussels) Then the third (ceviche). At that point I just gave up and left. To make it worse, 2 of the 4 draft beers were out too. That is important to me. Beer. I can't really say much about the food since I never got to try any of it. My friend and I met for lunch at Hooked Seafood Grill on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy, so we were able to grab a table and order pretty quickly. They have a pretty basic menu, with some appetizers, and then all seafood options are available to be ordered as salads, tacos, sandwiches, and platters. My friend ordered the Garlic Butter Red Snapper sandwich and I got two tacos, one shrimp & one fried fish. We also got a side of fries (paid extra as there are no sides that come with the sandwich). My friend said her sandwich was pretty good, a bit messy to eat but had good flavors. That was the least expensive sandwich option, which was already a bit of a steep cost, the other were even more. If it came with fries or another side, it might have been a better deal. The additional side of fries we ordered were good though, nothing special, but nice and crispy as you'd want. While there was nothing inherently wrong with the tacos, it is interesting that all options have the same toppings (cabbage, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and white sauce); the protein is the only thing that's different. The fish was fried well and crispy, shrimp was pretty basic. There was a lot of cabbage and not enough sauce so I had asked for additional dressing on the side so I could basically eat the taco like a mini salad. The restaurant is nice and service was good while we were there. We had gotten soda and our server checked in on us multiple times to ensure we had everything we wanted. I'd order something else next time, like maybe the larger plate (with protein, rice, and salad) or just a traditional fish & chips basket that comes with coleslaw. Perfectly golden, crispy batter that wasn't greasy at all, and the fish inside was flaky, moist, and cooked to absolute perfection. Huge portions too -- definitely shareable, but I didn't want to! Food came out fast even though the place was hopping, which I really appreciated. Our server was super friendly, checked on us just the right amount, and had great recommendations. Was running errands and decided to check Yelp and see where I might like to have lunch. I saw this restaurant that I had not been to before that I believe has been open for almost a year now from what I've read. I was greeted immediately upon walking through the door. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. After perusing the Menu of many choices of different types of seafood, I decided to have a fish sandwich as I hadn't had one in a really long time. It was good! The only thing I didn't necessarily love was the provolone cheese, which I'm not used to having on a fish sandwich. The sandwich also didn't have lettuce or tomato, but as I looked back at the menu, it didn't say it would have those things so that's on me. The plastic silverware was also a little bit odd because they have an extensive menu of seafood items which some of it I would think would be weird to eat with plastic-ware. I had excellent service from Nicole who was super nice and extremely efficient ! I would like to try a few other things on the menu so I'm certain I'll be back and I'll make sure to read the menu a little bit closer next time. read more

We just noticed this place randomly and were in the mood for fish and chips so came to check it out! We went on a weekday so there wasn't anyone dining there at the time we went and we only had to wait less than 5 min to get our food but it was delicious! The fish was crispy but soft on the inside and well seasoned. The fish tacos were huge and as someone who can eat a lot, the 2 fish tacos were enough to fill me up. Saw this place talked about on tiktok, so we thought we'd give it a go. I was really looking forward to their fish and chips, it was subpar at best. I felt like they could have made a better tartar sauce, it tasted like it was out of a bottle. But I did end up using our left over Chipotle sauce from our calamari and that tasted better with it. My spouse ordered a fish sandwich that was cooked in butter. I tried a bite, there was no flavor and barely any butter taste to it either. The fish seemed a bit over cooked too. We recently tried Hooked for dinner and it was excellent. They have a menu that isn't too complicated but has a number of different seafood options such as sandwiches, tacos, and platters. The decor is modern and they have a number of televisions on with games, which was great for a football Saturday. They do have beer and a few appetizers, however I recommend the fish tacos. The portions were on the larger size and prices were very reasonable. The server was nice and I probably burned through about four sodas because of the heat earlier in the day. Absolutely loved my fish sandwich, fish and chips, fries and Diet Coke. It wasn't too greasy, it was extremely filling and it's one of the better fish and chips I've had in the valley! Don't expect to get out of here cheap. But the service was 5/5 stars for sure. Price? I guess it isn't awful considering fast food places now are $20 for a meal. After looking over the menu, we ordered fried shrimp to start with. The shrimp was battered to perfection and not overcooked. The cocktail sauce was also one of the better ones I've had in a while. For our main entrees, we ordered the cold lobster roll that came with a side of fries and a red snapper sandwich. Both the red snapper sandwich and the cold lobster roll were standard, nothing remarkable about either to set them apart. The fries that came on the side were the kind I enjoy. However, they could have used more seasoning. Overall, service was attentive, but we did feel rushed while eating. It's very rare for this area to get a new restaurant that's actually decent, especially a seafood restaurant, and we already have High Tide in the area which is pretty good and sets a high standard. Our server was Aleia, who was friendly. However, everyone seemed quite rushed and overwhelmed, so maybe they're still working out the kinks here, not too sure. The atmosphere was well-decorated and casual, but was kind of confusing. You order at the counter for to-go but get waited on if you sit down at the booths. The food was... mediocre at best. The Grilled Shrimp Skewers were decent, but the cocktail sauce was not desirable. It was chunky like Marinara Sauce. The entrees were also nothing spectacular. The fish didn't taste very fresh, and our dishes took forever to come out. I'm glad we gave them a chance but I don't think we'll be coming back anytime soon. If you love fried food, this could easily be a 4 or better, bit it was just too much fried food for me. It's a 1st come 1st served restaurant so no reservations, but we got a table right away on a Wednesday evening. Ceviche appitizer wasn't bad but the chips they served were old and stale.
