This was my second time here, and it absolutely lived up to my first experience. My mom has been here several times and already loved it, so we were happy to get so lucky. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the mussels, oysters, and crab cakes as appetizers and they were delicious. For our entrees we had the halibut and lobster ravioli. Honestly, not a single miss. The seafood tasted fresh, the portions were great, and every dish came out beautifully prepared. The lobster ravioli tasted especially fresh and comforting without feeling too heavy. Our server Joel made the experience even better! He gave thoughtful recommendations, was attentive without hovering, and genuinely helped make our dinner feel relaxed and memorable. The atmosphere was cozy, perfect for a family dinner. My husband and I came here to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. We had a 7:30 pm reservation. The people were nice and polite and said HAPPY ANNIVERSARY when we checked in and when we sat ar our table.However, after we ordered the power went out. so now it's 8pm and they said sorry we don't know when the power is going to come back so we're cashing everyone and took the menus. There was nothing to cash us out for because all we were offered was water, no bread and no beverages. So on a Thursday night at 8pm we are left to find our own restaurant to salvage our anniversary. They didn't even recommend a place for us. This place seemed nice and like the food would be good. I would recommend to try it just not on a special occasion. I don't love when the server tried to talk my son into ordering dessert. Also, the server hovered while we were paying. This is very awkward. Lure Fish House has some of the best quality fish in Scottsdale, Arizona. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you're at the ocean, with its modern but beachy-chic restaurant. The selection of oysters was small but great. Blue Points are some of my favorite and always a must order. My salad was so big. Definitely order the half portion because it was perfect. Sadly, they were out of sweet potato fries and crab ceviche starter, however, the swordfish, brussel sprouts and butternut squash were delicious. The wine selection was amazing and the French fries and Sauvignon blanc were the perfect pair to start my meal. As an East Coaster, it can be hard to find seafood in other parts of the country, especially Arizona. Lure raises the bar and sets the expectations high! Went to Lure tonight for dinner. The power went out for several blocks in the area and it affected many restaurants nearby. The staff was so sweet and kind and I felt bad that they needed to close because there was no power/ air conditioning. Everyone was very professional and apologetic. Obviously, there was nothing they could do about the unfortunate situation. I heard many restaurants had to close. I can't wait to go back and try it again. Little late for my review! Visited Scottsdale to help my son move in. Wanted some seafood and had tried the Lure in SLO before. We both got variations on the halibut, and all were excellent... started with oysters, clams, and clam chowder. The chowder was fantastic- creamy but not crazy rich, lots of clams. The oyster bar is stunning. A great place to sit for some oysters and drinks especially during their happy hour. The happy hour is an awesome deal. They have $10 cocktails, I recommend the Lure Martini which is made with fresh grapefruit juice. They also offer some happy hour bites including oysters and their $3 cup of clam chowder which you HAVE to try! The chowder is wonderfully comforting, chunky, and flavorful. Corn salad added to the fish when I combined it on top (I was surprised it was a cold salad!). Sautéed spinach was good and garlicky Sand dabs--my husband enjoyed and said it was very refreshing, almost like chicken piccata. always consistent and delicious! this is one of my parents go to spots, and it was no different for mother's day! we were sat in a private room which was lovely and our server was very sweet. food came out pretty quick and everybody really enjoyed their meals. my dad and i shared their coastal grill platter and although i found the prawn to be overcooked, everything else was cooked very well! they also bring out free, hot and fresh sourdough rolls to the table! my mom and grandma shared their crab cakes and sea bass skewers and said they were excellent. Whoever says you can't get good seafood in the desert has not tried Lure Fish House! Not only is their seafood fantastic, but I'd argue it's reasonably priced for the quality. The service was the best service I've had in months! Our waitress came at just the right intervals, had a wonderful personality and made sure we were taken care of. The seating inside is incredibly comfy and they have tons of booths to go around. Decor is modern, everything is clean and high end feeling. The waitress informed me that the kitchen had recently moved away from all seed oils - which for me is a huge bonus. I'd argue combined with the above mentioned attributes, I definitely plan to return in the near future! We shared the appetizer mussels, which were delicious. The real standout out were the charbroiled oysters. They're not incredibly huge, but their flavor more than makes up for it! I ordered the chef's salad which was very good. I think the only place for improvement would be a little extra dressing (I'll definitely ask for extra next time). The creamy clam chowder was perfect in every way and very filling. I definitely could not finish everything, especially after diving into the complimentary whipped butter and warm bread! This place was one of the highlights of my trip. We stopped in around 345 for their happy hour in the bar. The red sangria blew me away! It was a great mix with yummy fruit juice and red wine. We opted for charbroiled oysters, The biscuits, some fresh shucked oysters, and ultimately the crab cakes. First the bad, which is pretty obviously the biscuits. They came to us burnt, and it really took a while for us to flag down at the bartender to let them know we didn't want them. They brought them up the second time and they were burnt again. We did swap to the crabcakes which were amazing in flavor! One of the best I've had and clearly didn't make it to the photo because we ate them so quickly! The fresh oysters were yummy, but I do think the mignonette that was served with them could be made a lot better. It needed a touch more vinegar because it had a flat taste. The charbroiled oysters were delicious! I do prefer a thinner Parmesan on top of mine rather than the large cheese pieces but nevertheless it was great! I do wish we would've got bread and butter like the tables around us but we end up, asking for some and received it. Clam chowder was delicious and stayed hot for a good amount of time, which is so important to me...soup/chowder needs to be hot! Got the lobster roll, bun was awesome, but the star of the show, the lobster, was tough and the dressing sparse and tasteless. Shrimp and fish were pretty good, not really memorable. The real bummer was not the food; it was the hot-and-cold demeanor of our server. Dude, smile, be cordial and interactive, that's part of a restaurant of this caliber's expectation in my opinion. I came here by invitation from a trusty Yelp friend on Valentine's Day of 2025. I know, it's been months, but I clearly remember my first visit to Lure Fish House in Scottsdale was great! Our food was fresh and tasty. I ordered the Sea Bass and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. No complaints on the food here, or the cocktails. The steak was pretty juicy and it was devoured as well. The Charbroiled Oysters were the star of the show! We ate them so fast, we practically inhaled them! The service was very good and each of the dishes was well prepared and extremely fresh, the important part of a seafood meal. We had bbq oysters, calamari spicy with jalapeños fried together. Yum! Cheddar biscuits and clams. The broth was delicious with the biscuits and the sourdough rolls. We then had Kumamoto oysters, extremely delicious along with seared ahi and clam chowder. Everything here is amazing, I've gone here several times and each time it hits. When you come here you HAVE to get the charbroiled oysters they are 12/10, a MUST. I'm also a big pasta girly so I usually get their tequila lime pasta which is so good. Their clam pasta is also really good, it's a white wine based sauce pasta. You can also get the cioppino with linguine. I knew some former servers there and they say everything else they have is way better than the pasta, and that's true. Their spicy salmon burger is amazing, a nice thick cut of salmon with a great sauce. The ahi tuna is also really good and of course their appetizers like the crab cakes and tacos are super good. I recommend coming during happy hour for the appetizers, you just get a much better deal. Their drinks are also amazing so don't miss out on those. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and even a big private room for larger parties. This place is always poppin when I go (weekends or evenings). All the seating is nice, clean and up to standard. Inside is beach/harbor themed, a very cute vibe executed in a classy fashion. All the staff are always super nice and friendly, and I've never had to wait long for my food. My wife and I visited here for the first time today to celebrate her birthday. Everything we ordered was terrific with a couple of real standouts: the crab cakes were prepared and presented beautifully, served on a bed of citrusy micro-greens dotted with bits of crispy jimica and accompanied by a very tasty remoulade; and pan roasted Venus clams served in a rich garlic, butter and white wine sauce accompanied with a big piece of roasted garlic and Parmesan crusty bread. Judging by the quality and presentation of the dishes we tried it's clear the kitchen takes real pride in the food they serve! The restaurant itself is gorgeous inside and has a nice patio and a cool bar area. We had two glasses of white wine, oysters on the half shell ( I prefer the ones from the north east, they're much sweeter than pacific oysters) they were fresh and clean tasting. For $45 portion size was small. We both had soup and cole slaw as sides. Soup was a 50/50 mix of clam chowder and a vegetable soup. Would not order again. Wifey had the shrimp with cole slaw and spinach. Shrimp were split in half and grilled in their shell. Meal did not look appetizing. The shrimp were overcooked so much they were hard to get out of their shell. Would not recommend this dish. Fourth grade in our group had Fish and Chips with a side salad. My fiancée brought me here for my birthday last night and it was fantastic. We sat outside, which was really nice and we started with drinks and an appetizer. We got the calamari (delicious) and I had a peach/raspberry spritz, which was so good, I'd definitely get it again. For dinner, my fiancée got the lobster ravioli and I had the mixed seafood grill with the Parmesan potato cake and almond pesto cauliflower on the side (pictured). I had the shrimp cocktail, the Lure martini, ceviche, crab cakes, and oysters. Everything tasted super fresh and delicious. My only note is about the biscuits. They came out burnt twice, even after I asked for them not to be. When they are not burnt, they are actually really good, so I would recommend asking for them lightly cooked to get them at their best.
