The fry and texture on the fries wasn't my favorite, they were a bit limp. The sauce tasted very basic, like a ketchup mayo fry sauce. The way this joint spices up their food is a bit silly. Depending on what level spice you order, they just dump more or less powder over the chicken and call it a day. Not necessarily as crafty as how other types of foods are made spicy. Chicken's texture is also not that great. Overall this place is not acceptable when you consider the price. The fries were really good, maybe a bit too seasoned, but still tasty and crispy. The sliders were great too. The pickled slaw added a nice tang that balanced the flavor really well. The spice level though was insane. I usually can handle spicy food but this was out of this world. My mouth was on fire and I was sweating halfway through. Next time I'll definitely go for mild or medium because that heat was no joke. Even with that said, I won't hold it against them since that's on me for picking high heat. Service was not great at all. It seems severally understaffed and the manager that was at the front counter had very poor customer service. Waited over 30 minutes because they failed to put the customer name on the ticket was ridiculous. I had to ask if the order on the shelf was mine and the manager only pointed out that the name on ticket said 'Guest User' like it was my fault. (I ordered at the front counter and gave my name.) The tables, and soda fountain area were all dirty. People waiting in line to order were not being helped because they couldn't keep orders organized or given to correct guests. ZERO!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I came on a Tuesday afternoon and there were only 2 groups eating. With that said, it took the Angry Chickz staff 20 minutes to get my order ready. They managed to get 3 other customers and an employee's order ready much faster. You may be wondering why the staff couldn't just be more attentive? The reason is they were more preoccupied with talking about how old they were, what recreational activities they did outside of work and another employee had an Asian baby girl waiting for him after work. The majority of them had their backs turned towards the kitchen and only turned around when customers went for an order. It's amazing how incompetent the staff were taking and giving orders to 3 other customers while 1 customer was waiting the entire time right in front of them. The ABG bound employee was the last person to receive their order before I got fed up with waiting and asked where my order was. According to the staff, they tried to call for me even though I was mere steps away from the counter standing there. The only thing I heard was their gossip and maybe them asking if my order was done. Not once did I hear them call my name. My order was just sogging away on the shelf while they were chit chatting and giving orders out to customers who came after me. I figured I asked for extra Angry Chickz sauce and they'd give it to me for making me wait 20 minutes and watched while 4 other people got their food before me. The female staff said "sure thing boss" and put "1" sauce in my bag. 1 fucking sauce for making me wait 20 minutes and watching 4 other people get their food before me. What a fucking joke and a slap in the face. Dave's Hot Chicken couldn't get my order ready on time and while I waited, they gave me a soda free of charge. I didn't even ask. It was just good customer service. Somehow Angry Chickz not only lacks customer service but they lack any decency of compassion. I'm not asking for a refund or to remake my cold food, just extra sauce. The best they could offer is "1" sauce. As for the food? You tell me how you could enjoy food that's been sitting for 20 minutes and watching 4 other people including 1 staff member get their food before you. We ordered the Angry Mac and the #3 combo. The Angry Mac is really heavy: mac and cheese, fries, and chicken tenders. I'm no vegetarian, but I think it could benefit from slaw and/or pickles like the other bowls have. The #3 let us try both the slider and the tender over toast (spoiler alert: toast wins). I could definitely see how the slider becomes a soggy mess if you don't eat it right away, so I'd recommend eating it there if you can. You're paying for the hype/trend of Nashville/Dave's style because the price doesn't really make sense. The fries are great, and they will fill you up. Otherwise, roughly $19 for a slider combo (without drink) is kind of silly. Taste is good, but I don't think the chicken is made to order fresh, maybe they make batches and keep em warm until ordered for customization. Otherwise I'd expect the chicken to be a bit crispier and warmer. Portions: Fries are thick and crispy and well seasoned. Chicken tenders are quite small for the price; seasoned well, but could be crispier. Also the sauce was quite minimal(see photo). I've been here twice and have been disappointed both times. I always order the angry Mac and the first thing I noticed was portion size is so much smaller.
