I ordered online for pickup during my recent visit. As I arrived home I realized that my order was incorrect. So we returned to correct this issue. The lady at the counter let us know that we could keep the incorrect order, so we gave the plate to a homeless while we waited for the new plate. A few minutes later the lady comes back with just a sandwich. We told her we were missing the rest of our order. She went back and got her VERY rude coworker, horrible attitude. This man approached us with the WORST attitude. Saying that this issue was our fault for giving away the previous incorrect order. Implying this issue was "crazy and sounds crazy" but decided he would give us the rest of the plate. As we went to turn he snatched the receipt from my friend and rolled his eyes. Spice on the chicken was strong, but had good flavor, chicken cooked perfectly. Slaw and rice tasted good. Mac and cheese had a slightly spicy kick but tasted good. Angry Chickz had been on our to try list because I had read great things, and have also seen it pop up on my Instagram feed for a very long time. We've been here twice, and both times the service was mediocre. I've seen some comments saying this is the best chicken spot in town. I have to disagree. The dishes we had hit the spot of our chicken cravings; but it is not the best chicken place we've been to. The first time we went, there was a lot of people in the restaurant. The restaurant is a big place, and there are not many tables. It could be because of Covid; but there was a table for us to sit at. The first young lady who helped us the first time explained the menu, and was patient as we browsed before putting our order in. However, when we walked in, she was changing out the trash, and did not change her gloves out when she came to the register. She's touching money, cups, lids, and straws. I sprayed out cups down so I wouldn't draw attention, and asked the food handler for new lids and straws. This was a huge turn off for me. The dish I got, the chicken and rice, was great. The rice was buttery, cooked nicely, the fingers were tasty and delicious. The laded mac and cheese my daughter ordered was good and hot, so it was fresh. The plates are loaded with food; so it is definitely worth the price. The second time we went, they had opened a couple minutes before, so we were excited that we didn't have to wait a long time to order. This time, the gentlemen that helped us didn't greet us at all, or seemed friendly when he was taking our order. This time I got the loaded mac and cheese, and my husband got the sliders. The sliders are like burgers, stacked nicely over coleslaw and pickles, and the french fries were tasty. This time, the food was warm; not hot like our last visit. So I'm not sure if they heated up leftover food from the night before, or if they quickly plated it. Overall, if Angry Chickz would work on their food handling tendencies, and customer service, I would rate them better. They have nice decor and televisons, but the space is so big to fit more tables, or even more decor... The bathrooms are decent, but not trashed either. The soda machine sits alone, with no lids/straws/napkins. You have to ask the workers for all the things you need. I was cheerfully greeted upon entering this restaurant...how disappointing!  I wanted Angry Chickz decked in martial arts uniforms, glaring at me just for being me. Or the cashier to snarl, "What do YOU want, mister?"  Meanwhile, their hot chicken is dang good and the line moves fast...the main ordering decision to make with this simple menu is what bread type you want and how many Scoville units you dare to try. The slider comes with a bun and cole slaw while the tender is on a piece of white bread.  As for heat level, the waiver they have you sign for ordering Carolina Reaper peppers (Angry level) is no joke and who can blame them in today's litigious world. This chicken is not the greasy stuff that's served at fast food places, even though Angry Chickz is a franchise. It's a superior piece of chicken breast (fresh, not frozen), marinated overnight and cooked in peanut oil. Angry Chickz does something a lot of restaurants don't bother with...they remove that annoying white strip of tendon found in chicken breast. The medium level is perfect and it's straight out of the fryer, not sitting around under heat lamps. Expect to pay around $13 or $14 for two good sized tenders plus fries and pickles. A few months in, and the Angry Chickz website still says the hours are 11 a.m. to 11 a.m., but it's not open 24 hours...just to 11 p.m. It's a worthy stop for some delicious fried chicken, if you're near the UNLV campus. read more

The coating/breading on the chicken didn't stay on well so that was weird but otherwise the food was great! She had the mild and I had the country style - I'm a "chicken" when it comes to spicy hot stuff. We didn't wait long for our meal and sat down to try it. So good! The batter was lighten crispy and there was a sauce to go with it which didn't have a lot of spice. The chicken strips for me wasn't too flavorful- I felt it needed some salt but it was juicy and crispy and I still enjoyed it. The fries actually stole the show. The flavor shake on it was a perfect mixture of salt and a hint of spicy that wasn't overpowering. My friend loved her chicken although it was mild, it was still a bit too spicy for her but she enjoyed it. I will definitely want to order from here again. Amazing food! I was apprehensive going here because I really thought the chicken would be super greasy and just too heavy for my taste, but boy I was wrong!! We got the double chicken sliders, and the bowl of angry mac & cheese the portions are huge and each meal is enough to feed two people. The chicken wasn't greasy at all. It was very flavorful and I really loved the bun. I don't normally eat bread but it looks delicious so I tried it and I ended up finishing it. I really can't wait to go back here. I couldn't make a review when I originally went because there was no Yelp page up yet. I went about a month ago, the first couple weeks they were open. Waited in line for an hour. The line wasn't even that long. It was out the door but there were only 2 people that could stand inside and wait. About 7-9 people in line total. I don't remember the exact price of the combo but the total was around $13. The buns on the sliders were super hard, but not hard from being toasted. Hard like they were old and stale. The chicken wasn't very crispy and was on the soggy side. The flavor was like a 6/10. I got the medium level. Also, when we got our Max and cheese, the outside was covered in grease and chicken crumbs which was kinda gross lol Also with the combo, it doesn't even come with a drink. It came with a small portion fries and the two sliders. If I remember correctly, they only had 4 combos in total. None of which had a drink or different side other than fries. They shoukd make a combo that comes with 1 slider and a side and drink, or a combo that has tenders and a side/drink. if you only wanted to get 1 slider, you had to pay for the extra slider that is $6 plus a side or whatever else you wanted. The workers are also not very friendly. Idk if they are just tired from being so busy but they all looked like they hated their lives. The cashier just had a blank stare on her face while saying next in line and taking our order and the worker who was calling the numbers for food just mumbled the numbers and expects you to be up at the counter in .2 seconds. We've been seeing Angry Chickz on Yelp and finally made the time to come visit the place. This location used to be Smashburger so it was interesting seeing how they redesigned it. The artwork is cool, the designed felt minimal. It did feel like they have a lot of spare space that they can fill some how. Entering the place the vibe is very chill, music from the 90s/2000s. The cashier was friendly. The menu option is limited but you have control of the hotness level. We decided to share a combo #1. Which is two sliders with a side of fries on a medium level. I got mine with everything while my partner only got the chicken and bun. We got a side of raspberry ice tea. Initial thought, you can definitely FEEL THE HEAT. I thought a medium would be safe, but if you are not accustomed to spicy food perhaps consider trying the mild. If you've been to BWW I would say the medium here reminds me of hot in heat. I would say the coleslaw and pickles helped manage the heat. The pickles really complimented the flavor of the chicken. The fries I believe had Cajun seasoning and were cooked to a nice crisp. It was a satisfying chicken slider. My partner mentioned that they should add a spicy barbecue on their menu. Also smaller sides, we wanted to try the Mac, but it would be too much for us to consume alone. Once inside it's clean and cool, complementary cold water bottles were offered to those waiting in line which was a great way to set the customer service. tone. The menu is short and sweet so it's easy to order. I wish the "angry fries" had a description so I knew I was getting a slider but in bowl form but other than that it's pretty straightforward. Now the FOOD! Hope you're hungry ! The portions here are huge. These aren't ya typical puny sliders! One combo will feed 2 people. The Mac and cheese is creamy and filling. Slaw and special sauce ,delicious ,fries super crispy and seasoned. My main issue was the seasoning on the chicken was just meh I ordered medium heat which was too hot for me but the flavor still didn't shine thru. Prior to my Celiac disease diagnosis a few months ago, I had Angry Chickz and it was legitimately the best Nashville hot chicken I've had. The portions are generous and the chicken and fries are really delicious and fresh. You can tell that the food hasn't sat a long time. The only thing I wouldn't suggest is the macaroni and cheese. It is thick in consistency but doesn't have a strong cheese flavor. So the food here is really good, but the service needs some work. Situated right next to UNLV, I was glad to be able to grab some food on the way home from my late night grad class. As to be expected, the clientele is mostly late teens/early twenties. To me they're kind of annoying (the couple in front of me were play fighting but kept almost running into me and the kid behind me came in with an electric scooter he seemed unable to control), which wouldn't be a big deal except service here is sooooo slow. When I arrived, I believe there were only three people in front of me, but it took like ten or fifteen minutes to place my order. (And not because the guests were being indecisive.) The guy working was really nice, but definitely needs to up his efficiency. I can't imagine how long it would've taken if I had come in during peak lunch or dinner rush. I ordered the Loaded Mac and Cheese Bowl with the angry spice level. They make you sign a waiver, which to me was more of a gimmick than a necessity. The mac comes with french fries, macaroni and cheese, bits of chicken at your selected spice level, and some sort of sauce on top. Really flavourful and easily two servings for me. I tried adding some honey on top, but it didn't really complement the flavours to me. I really enjoyed the spice level, and although the fries get soft, it works in this case. Prices aren't super cheap, but not bad if you can get two meals out of whatever you order. read more

I order the two piece tenders. It's was actually pretty good. Nice size pieces. They offer different spice levels. I got medium hot and it was hot to me - but of course my spice level tolerance is not that great, lol. My only con would be the wait for the food, I went in on my lunch break and had to hurry out.
