Always have a great experience here at Angry Crab Shack! Our server is always welcoming and makes sure we get everything we need in a timely manner. Such a spacious restaurant and kid friendly where they can see the crab and lobsters in the tanks! Food has amazing flavor and the spice levels are accurate! One little concern was the shrimp was a little overcooked and most of our blue mussels weren't all opened so we figured it wasn't all the way cooked. Other than that, everything else was delicious! We had reservations at Crab Pot but chose to come here instead (to avoid driving to Bellevue); and I'm glad we did. The restaurant felt way more casual, and noisier, but the food was great. We got the Boil For Two with Cajun seasoning, no spice level (hubby can't do spicy) and it was perfect. Well seasoned, and well cooked. Our server, Elle, was very nice, and so was the co-owner that stopped by to make sure everything was going well. Fresh seafood is expensive, so you should know what you're getting yourself into if that's what you're there for; this place was worth it to us. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is simply because of the way it's set up; the decor is a bit too sparse (which feels kind of cheap), and it was very echoey and loud, which isn't so much to our taste as far as ambience goes, but people were having a great time! And I can appreciate that :) We will absolutely come back. read more

The menus is varied and reasonably priced. We ordered take out and had a couple of drinks at the bar while we waited for our food. The bartender got our drinks wrong even though they weren't busy (no one else sitting at the bar), but we didn't really care that much and the drinks were delicious. . While they forgot the bread with the jambalaya, it was very tasty. The garlic noodles were delicious, and the lobster roll was an excellent value. $28 for two lobster rolls--one was plenty, so unless you're really hungry, split this dish or save a roll for lunch the next day. We were told the lobster roll would come cold, but it was warm, so not sure what that was all about. No matter, we prefer it warm. The only item we wouldn't order again were was the oyster Po'boy. The oysters were dry and overcooked. I didn't care for the cornmeal breading either. Still, we'll be back. I want to try the shrimp & grits and a few other menu items. read more

The star goes to the service since it was great but everything else was disappointing. We ordered a shellfish sampler and we just realized after leaving and rechecking the menu online that they didn't put any clams in it (menu said it had 1lb of clams was included) The seafood boil with the garlic and Cajun flavor, but unfortunately didn't have any taste, was very bland, food just numbing from the Cajun seasoning. Lacked garlic flavor and overall seasoning. Ambiance is loud if a guest/customer is celebrating and the staff has some ruckus planned (including a loud siren) so just an fyi for those easily triggered or have very little ones who need to stay asleep in restaurants. We've been to other locations out of state and they were way better so hopefully this location makes adjustments soon! read more

We're BIG fans of the lobster crostini and lobster rolls. One order of each feeds two of us, and we have healthy appetites. The scallop and noodle bowl is also delicious. I worked with the manager to pick up a couple of seafood boils and assorted side dishes to feed everyone at a bridal shower, and the food was a huge hit! Tried this new addition to Everett for dinner last night. Our server was FANTASTIC - really friendly, walked us through the menu and had great recommendations. We had the Boil for Two - Snow & King crab, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn and added in crawfish (I mean how can you pass up whole crawfish?!). This place is great! We went on a Saturday night, and we were greeted by the owner when we walked in. She was very welcoming and we were seated right away. The restaurant is laid out in one big room with a huge TV for watching sports, etc. The food was exactly what we were hoping for. We ordered the Cajun boil and just like many of the other similar Cajun places, we were able to order what seafood we wanted, what sauce we wanted and how spicy we wanted it. Tried this place last Friday, almost drove right past it until my 11 year old noticed it. It's tucked away in the same building as Half Price Books, to give you an idea of where it's located. As it's only been open for several weeks now, the ambience is still getting there, but it's still cozy and very clean. It could do for a bit more nautical or even Cajun décor, but I'm sure that will come with time. Now for the good stuff...the food! Upon entering, our hostess asked our preference for seating (nice), so we chose a window near the back where the fresh crab and lobster tanks are located. Tablecloths are white butcher paper, which makes for convenient games of tic tac toe as you await your order. While the menu lists your seafood options as "Market Price", they put a current menu of the market prices on the napkin dispensers which they can change out to reflect the most current options. They had root beer on tap for our kiddos, otherwise Pepsi products. They also have local beers on tap, to include our favorite from Georgetown Brewing, Bodhizafa (HUGE plus). Additionally, they have some interesting cocktails, including an oyster shooter and a crazy-looking Cajun Bloody Mary with a friggin' crab leg sticking out of it. Our servers, Steven and Amanda: awesome. Attentive, knowledgeable of the menu, and patient with our questions about the menu options. Again: we were first-timers. When I asked what made their restaurant different from the similar one down the street, they were able to articulate without putting down the other place. Basically, the other restaurant has a decidedly "Viet-Cajun" twist, while the Angry Crab Shack is more traditionally American South. While the wife and I perused the menu options, my 11 year old opted for the Popcorn Shrimp with Onion Rings. My very picky 6 year old chose...the Kids Cheeseburger with Fries (shocker). We also chose a half dozen fresh oysters, and tacked on an order of the Angry Edamame. Edamame came out first, and was SO tasty, quickly followed by our kid's food and the oysters. While there was no option for which oysters you could select, they were perfectly shucked, deep cups, full of meaty, briny, local oysters, which came with cocktail sauce and lemon. We asked for hot sauce and were provided with both Cholula and Tabasco. My 6 year old's burger was actually adult-sized (bigger than a McD's cheeseburger), delicious (Dad tax), and she devoured nearly all of it. Fries were surprisingly tasty and crisp, as well. My 11 year old inhaled his Popcorn Shrimp, and his Onion Rings were very good, too. Breading had zero fishy aftertaste, so I suspect they and the fries were cooked in their own oil, vice the same oil used for the seafood. Another plus. The wife and I decided to get the seafood boil; a pound each of the crawfish and the head-on shrimp (nice to have options: they also have Mussels, Lobster, Crab, Clams, et al). We sauced it with the restaurant's "Trifecta", a combination of Cajun, Lemon Pepper and Garlic, spiced at number 3 (hot), and added 4 pieces of Cajun Sausage. After being provided with the requisite gloves and bibs, our two-pound bag of shellfish arrived, along with a side of "Bread for Soppin'" that we added. Once we dug in, I was not expecting what I tasted. I was used to the "bag o' crustaceans" down the street, but this hit different. The "Trifecta" sauce was tangy, hot, and a bit sweet, and the sausage added a different flavor, as well. While I love my Vietnamese spices in a great Pho or Banh Mi, this taste was decidedly traditional American South/Cajun. Look no further than the menu for evidence; Hush Puppies, Jambalaya, Cajun Fried Pickles, Red Beans and Rice, Cornbread, Shrimp and Grits...even Charred Oysters! Oh, and those four pieces of sausage? They actually snuck in six. While the medium-sized crawfish were a bit of work (always are), my wife's head-off shrimp were large and very easy to peel. Cooked perfectly and not overdone, the shells just fell off (oh, and they give you a generously-sized bucket for the detritus, too). Full disclosure: the bread was tasty and perfect for "Soppin'", but I could have done with a crisper crust. Nevertheless, it was a great companion to the meal. Refills for the kids' Root Beer came automatically at first, after which Steven checked with us via "looks" to make sure we were okay with it. Had some dessert even (Cheesecake and Ice Cream Sandwich), which were delicious. We left full, happy, and with a hefty bag of leftovers. SUMMARY: this place rocks. I wish I was hungrier during my visit. I can't WAIT to try the other menu items and am looking forward to coming back. SOON. There are SO many meal options: Po' Boy sandwiches, Lobster Rolls and even non-seafood items, if that's not your bag. Only thing that would have made it better was some Fried Okra! Give this place a shot, I'm sure it will soon be a local staple. I hope they do well here, I'd hate to see them leave. read more

went last night to try out this new restaurant I ordered the fried oysters as an appetizer in the twin lobster roll as my main order The oysters were so over fried they were hard like a hockey puck the twin lobster rolls were very dry and one of my rolls was sent out with a completely broken and half piece of bread which made it impossible for me to even pick up my role and attempt to eat. It definitely needs a lot of fine-tuning and quality control that bill was $70, my server was extremely nice and super kind however, as someone in the food industry myself, I would've gone a little more above and beyond to make sure that my experience with the food had gone better such as either adjusting My Bill or personally taking it in my hands to get my food remade or fixed I will, unfortunately not be returning because the food was so far off and so expensive read more

Food was good but a bit disappointed in some of the selections. Staff were super attentive and friendly. We only had the Gumbo and Hushpuppies. We wanted to try the jumbalaya but were told they didnt have any for lunch and it would take 30 minutes to prepare it. Was sad for that. If its on the menu, it should be available. Gumbo was great flavor but had little (Wifes ) to no Crawfish, and way way too much Okra. My Gumbo had no crawfish. If your going to say there is Crawfish in Gumbo there should be some larger ones. Wifes had 2 that looked smaller that popcorn shrimp. The Hushpuppies were Yummy but there littlle or no Jalapeno in them. Kinda not the same as everywhere Ive had them. Also the Gumbo was mild. All the Gumbos Ive ever eaten had heat in them. Some were really spicy. Had to put hot sauce in to give it flavor. The Crab/Lobster Seasonal prices were really steep. So be prepared to spend $$$. The lobster and shrimp were horribly overcooked. Only one potato? And undercooked. The flavor was just awful. We had 1 beer, a few orders of cornbread and sausage (pieces) but our total was $147!!! And this was after a 10% discount because the manager happened to walk by and ask how our dinner went. The Oyster Poor Boy had zero taste, no spice , no seasoning , No Taste! The Fried clams were over cooked using a cornmeal and was hard and also Zero Taste. The Soup tasted okay but it tasted like a premade soup and heated up and served, The Fries that came with the meal were processed frozen fries you can buy in the frozen food section of your local supermarket. We got the boil for 2 which was a 4 out of 5 only reason it was not a 5 out of 5 was because the potatos were halved which were kind of hard to eat at that size. I wouldn't waste any time or money eating here if you are looking for anything with FLAVOR. We had the Catfish basket with Cajun fries. The Catfish was a nice big piece with good texture but there was absolutely not a hint of flavor or spices. Cajun fries where ok but I had asked for potato salad which I did get in a teeny tiny Ketsup to go container. again the potato salad had no flavor. we ordered red beans and rice. there was only red beans with cooked celery over white rice. NO JUICE NO FLAVOR. THIS IS NOT A CAJUN RESTAURANT. The device wasn't good. The lady manager is lacking in customer service. Came here the other day for the first time. We went pretty late for lunch and early for dinner so it wasn't too busy, we got in right away. We had the chowder, gumbo, catfish basket and fried oyster po'boy. I was surprised at the serving size of the chowder and gumbo. I had the chowder and it was good, my husband had the gumbo and said it was good. The catfish was a pretty good sized piece and he enjoyed it, I had the po'boy. My husband had the red beans and rice as a side. He usually eats every bite of his food. He only ate about 1/3 of it. He couldn't really describe to me what he didn't like about it. The fries were what they called "cajun fries". Not sure what the flavor was, but I wasn't too fond of it. The chowder and gumbo both came in these cute bowls alongside a nice chunk of sliced/buttered bread. My only complaint about it is, they only come in one size. I couldn't eat both my chowder and po'boy. I ate about 1/4 of each. I wished that they would come with a smaller portion of the chowder so that you could enjoy that as a side plus have a meal. However with that said, the price for that bowl of chowder you can't beat and I had leftovers for another meal at home. The server was great, but I have to mention there were some pros/cons. Pro to me: she didn't keep coming over to check on us. I hate when we keep getting interrupted. Con: is that we needed some extra silverware but we weren't able to flag her down. I had a soda, it comes in a clear plastic cup. She obviously noticed that I was near empty and brought another serving. What was weird, she brought it in a paper cup and then emptied it into my cup. She couldn't have left me the cup? Or is that the same cup they use for everyone's refill? My husband just had water that came in the same kind of paper cup.... Because she brought more soda I couldn't finish it all. She offered me a lid to take the cup to go. We'll definitely come again and try the other options. I'm not sure we would ever do the "boils" or "bags". The boils are sold by pound at "market price", and the posted prices were pretty high. The bags were also kind of pricey for what is offered. There's a different seafood place over in Bellevue we go to that offers more for less. But we'll still be back. read more

They even charged us for bread, putting our sauce on the side (instead of on the boil, making it all taste the same) and butter for our crab. Who sells crab without butter? And why isn't there butter on the sauce menu? They charged my buddy $6.50 for butter because a pint of it, overkill, was all that was on the menu for options!
