This was our first time at Angry Crab. I have to say that I really was not impressed. The soft shelled crab was just not very good. The fish and chips were ok, however their tarter sauce is mustard based so it is definitely different than we are used to. The beans and rice was mushy and flavorless. The sweet potato fries were really good, however. The service was acceptable. The waitress explained the menu and checked on us enough, but not too much. All in all it was ok just, not that special. Dirty. My second and last visit. As soon as you park. You'll notice all the cigarette butts around the building. Then I'm sitting at the bar by myself on a Friday night and I'm watching the servers sharing chicken wings in the kitchen area, licking their fingers then going back to work without washing their hands. One of the servers said. " We can't be eating back here in front of the customers" a server responded by saying, ," I don't care I'm hungry, I haven't eaten anything all day". My husband and I were here today for our 21st anniversary. We thoroughly enjoyed the fried clam strips. My husband ordered fish and chips. I ordered the lobster rolls. Super disappointed! We went there last Friday with family and my husband noticed a roach on the fall just crawling away. We brought it to the waiter's attention without making a scene and he (Isaac) walks over and smashes it. We asked to speak to the manager privately and a young gentleman walks over and we explain to him what happened and how disgusted we were, He then tells us that all he is allowed to do is knock off $3 for our experience from each of the three bills. Seriously?? I could have cleared the place out by pointing that disgusting bug out to fellow customers. That's how Angry Crab handles situations? We went here for my wife's birthday and it was absolutely amazing! Just want to say a big thank you to the staff that was attentive and doing their best to follow all COVID guidelines making sure everything was sanitized and safe. The shrimp in trifecta is simply amazing. I do not know what they do to their shrimp to make it taste so good and have such a great texture, but whatever they are doing, I wish everyone else that cooked shrimp would do. I went there today for the first time and I was very disappointed, they had plenty of tables available then they sat us by the restrooms, where you could smell the odor coming from them, we requested a different table, then the hostess said we had to wait at least 20 minutes for a table, meanwhile you could see plenty of tables available, unfriendly staff and poor costumer service, they did not deserve out money so we left. This was my first time here. The first impression walking into the restaurant with all the graffiti and writing on the walls, not impressed. I understand they are trying to accomplish a theme. However, I don't think it's working. Our first waiter was excellent, however over the course of the next hour, we went through 4 waiters. My wife and I weren't fond of the seafood in a bag thing, frankly, had never heard of it before. We had five employees ask us what we thought about the place, and I'm not surprised. During our stay, had six tables seated around us and they were all first-time customers. I suspect that very few people ever come back for a second time. I went here on a Friday night with my hubby and another couple. There was no wait at 6pm. We ordered a pound of shrimp with the Trifecta spice, a pound of snow crab with lemon and garlic butter, a few potatoes, hush puppies, calamari strips, and a Buffalo Chicken Slider and a Cheeseburger (what can you do when they don't like seafood?) The seafood was amazing as was the spices on all of it. It was all perfectly seasoned. The potatoes were perfectly cooked. The calamari was the best I have had in quite awhile. Tried this place for the first time last night for my boyfriends birthday dinner. It was a fun experience for us & Adrian was our server and was awesome. This is not the place for a quiet romantic dinner - this is a party place! Our food was wonderful had clams, mussels and shrimp and we are from the PNW and know good seafood. Came here last night for my husband's birthday. We ordered appetizers of oysters on the half shell and wings, both were great. Our daughters ordered the chicken tenders and said it was very good. Our son loved his double cheeseburger. I had ordered the shrimp basket and really enjoyed it. My husband ordered the king crab legs with a trifecta medium sauce. He loved it. Our server was awesome. Love this place for shell fish crave in the valley. I've been to their Mesa restaurant first and started going to the Phoenix location as it is closer to me. They've expanded to west valley and glad they did! I typically get the Dungeness crab trifecta with spice of 3 but recently started having it with traditional spice of 2. I've tried their shrimp and mussels which both are also delicious. Service is as fast as they can depending on crowd and always friendly. Food is great but service needs work. Can never get anyone on the phone. I ordered online and received a text that my order was ready. Was told to text back with a parking spot number which I did. 8 minutes later I see an employee come out empty handed and joke around with another car next to me for about 5 minutes., laughing and dancing. 15 minutes after I texted with my parking spot number the same guy that was out with the other car comes with my order in hand. I ask to talk to the manager (Jason). I explained what happened and asked why the long wait? All he said was sorry we are busy with a blank stare.
