We moved to Queen Creek in 2022 and have patronized this location since then. The food was very good until summer 2025. Wondering if private equity took over the operation? The food has been really terrible since then - joke of a caesar salad that was all croutons, Parmesan, and dressing- almost no lettuce. The gumbo had no flavor and was "mushy" - likewise for the fried catfish and fried oysters. Seems like the staff does not care about quality at all. King crab was tiny red crab, not actually king crab. The snow crab was actually better. The seafood here is not worth the price. They changed the recipe on the seasoning sauce some time ago. It's oily now not buttery. I hope you like their sauce, as it's the only thing you're going to taste eating the seafood. Red crab shell so soft you need to cut with scissors. For me a whole disappointment. The service was great. The waitress was friendly and joked with us which I like. I really like the vibe here, but the food is bottom tier seafood, buffet quality crab.... Honestly I was at the casino earlier in the day I WISH I would have just ate there, all you can eat crab for $60 a person. We had the calamari for appetizers - normally I don't like the calamari nuggets but these ones were flavorful. We also got the sampler as well and the fried shrimp and fried pickles were amazing! We got the Boil for TWO option that comes with: King crab, head-off shrimp, snow crab, 1 lobster tail, corn, red potatoes, and sausage. Overall a great restaurant. Just like all of their locations the food is great. It's a seafood boil. They serve the food in a bag. You get to choose the spice level. My go to is trifecta level 3. I highly recommend the snow crab and add on sausage and potatoes. For those with less adventurous taste buds they have typical stuff like burgers and fries. The bar menu is pretty good. Definitely get a spicy Bloody Mary. It's served with a crab leg in it. The food is really messy but they provide gloves and a bib. Notwithstanding, don't wear anything white (or nice). I personally prefer the original location in Mesa on Alma School but that's largely because of the atmosphere and patio. This location is in a new strip mall and seems a little inauthentic, but if you live in the San Tan/QC area this'll do. Minor complaint: the chairs are terrible. They are small little light weight metal chairs and the seats are angled forward so you're constantly sliding out. read more

Our family was craving the taste of seafood so we stopped by this new location. It was definitely a lot less crowded than the Mesa location so there wasn't much of a wait. Service was average in that the server wasn't all that friendly and she didn't check on us that often. At least our order was correct. The menu is about the same as the other franchise locations for Angry Crab. I would have preferred actual prices foe items rather than just "market" price. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our meal and left satisfied. The place is very casual. You pretty much eat with your hands so don't come dressed too fancy. Every year, we visit San Tan Valley for Country Thunder, and we often struggle to find places to eat. This year, we debated going to Angry Crab Shack due to some mixed reviews. Living in Southern California, we frequently visit numerous crab places, so we were unsure of what to expect from crab and shrimp in Arizona. However, we were pleasantly surprised--Angry Crab Shack was DELICIOUS! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Rylee took excellent care of us, and we were impressed by the portion sizes and prices. One previous negative review mentioned a lack of veggies or additional sides, but after looking at the menu, it was clear that the reviewer hadn't fully understood the option to build your own bag. Our entire bill came to $150, which included appetizers, multiple beers, and three large meals. Back home, that same meal would have easily cost us over $250. We all agreed that Angry Crab Shack will definitely be a place we return to every year. read more

Regarding the latter item, we like very spicy food, but the level 4 was just too hot and the seafood hard to eat. Fortunately our helpful server brought us some butter to cool things down. Its rimmed with seasoning, and tastes light and refreshing!! we had some nice fried seafood, and fried pickles appetizer along with oysters. we decided to get the huge backyard platter to share among the table for dinner, and i got the catfish with beans and rice, and french fries. Absolutely delicious catfish in a nice big hunk; crunch coating, fried perfectly!! the red beans n rice was so good, not really seasoned, but homey, and comforting!! my family really enjoyed their platter! it came with big hunks of corn, potatoes, sausage. Big ol crab and lobster. Stopped in mid afternoon (4pm) wasn't totally empty. Was excited they had charred oyster. They were tasty, not as good as we had in Nawlins, but a good substitute. They were covered in cheese and the garlic butter was nice to dip the bread in. Catfish was very mild, you could tell it was a frozen filet. The fries after a few minutes were cold. The potato salad was just okay. Grilled salmon with the trifecta sauce. The salmon was good but was over powered by the sauce. The veggies were cooked Al dente. The service was very good. What does one say for the best seafood sampler boil. I ate myself into a food coma and still had plenty to take home! When you can't decide what to try give this a chance. . . From lobster and shrimp to green muscles and blue muscles and oysters and then add sausage and potato and corn on the cob! It's a wonderful experience for seafood lovers! The secret of course is when to add what to the pot so nothing is over cooked and each item is done to perfection! The crab legs were small but when added to everything else I'm not complaining! Went the other night. Super loud and the AC has been out we were told for 3 months!!!! How would you expect to have a good experience when is blazing hot outside and the inside there is no AC. Also we were sat right behind a kid who had his IPad full blast watching a show while his mother sat on her phone. The boy was about 10. Pretty sad but also didn't add to our already hot experience. Visiting our hānai family who moved here a year ago. We came from Hawaii so seafood is a big staple. TJ was our waiter and bradda man was on it! He was super attentive, was efficient when it came to having split orders and all in all gave great service. We also got a visit from the kitchen manager, Marie, who was super sweet with the kids. She asked how our meal was and was kind enough to bring out a lobster for the kids to see. She must have noticed my three year old staring through the window watching the lobsters lol. She made sure to grab everyone from the table to go see the "wobsters". The kids got to learn a little about where the lobsters come from. We'll be craving this place long after we leave! This restaurant is super fun with great seafood cooked right. Server Gabriel did an outstanding job. He was so well spoken and knowledgeable, I thought he was the GM/Owner. Three strikes and we are out. This is this 3rd attempt of delivery we have done all have arrived incorrect. Our $91 bag arrived with a dugout crab and 3 corns. That's it. Marie the manager attempted resolution but, I had to come pick up the missing items. I get mistakes can happen when you are busy on a Friday night but, when I arrived after a 20 min drive the dinning area was empty. Maria was at one of the two tables providing customer service for an error made in house dinning. I had to wait an additional 10 min for the missing food to be ready. Meaning my $220 meal was cold by the time I got home with the missing items. Angry crab is delicious but, drive to the Mesa location we have had zero hiccups at that location - Marie the manager needs a raise and kudos for her attempts to fix the mistakes.
