The atmosphere was lively, laid-back, and very Western, with most of the seating outdoors around picnic tables -- which is really what makes this place so much fun. Had a great afternoon with friends this time around. The service was friendly and efficient, the beers were nice and cold, and the burgers were scrumptious, especially paired with their steak fries, which I really enjoy. Like my previous visit, the only challenge here is the food line, which can get very long. We got lucky and arrived just before the queue exploded. Visited on a Saturday night and it was really busy. There were two girls working the host stand and only one of them was friendly. We were quoted 1.5 hours and we sat outside to wait. When the 2 hour mark hit we decided to go inside and ask. The hostess then snapped at us and said that our buzzer had rung 1.5 hours ago when that was not true.... After the mix up, we were seated. Our server was nice and attentive. I ordered a burger and it was delicious. Service was great from her. The outside was fun as they had live music and the fire pits going on. Had dinner here on Saturday night and it was sooo busy. We walked in around 6:30pm, wrote my name down with the hostess, and we were quoted 1 - 1.5 hours to be seated. We were given a buzzer and we sat outside to wait. They had live music playing, the fire pits going, and the people watching was interesting. We stopped at the bar and bought a bloody mary to sip while we waited. It was then 8pm and our buzzer had not buzzed. We went inside to check and one of the hostesses was rude. She gav us attitude when we asked and she said we had already been buzzed, which we had not.... We were then told to wait a few more minutes and we would be seated. We were finally seated and our server came over a few moments after. We ordered: One order of fried pickles One bacon cheeseburger One steak with mushrooms, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, and a dinner roll The food was good but temperature wise it should've been served hotter. The mashed potatoes were lukewarm and so was the corn. My steak was also not hot. The dinner roll was the only hot item, and it was my favorite. The bacon burger was cooked and seasoned well. The fried pickles were also great as they had a nice fresh crunch to them. Service from our waitress was great as she was friendly and attentive. 3 stars because the host was rude and also because our food was not hot. One of my favorite things about this place is the flexibility. You can sit inside and enjoy full table service, or order at a service window and relax outside with a more casual vibe. The atmosphere, food, and service are all consistently great. The $29 New York steak is honestly one of the best deals in town. The steak fries and sweet corn mash absolutely nail it and make the meal feel far more expensive than it is. What really stands out to me is the value. Two people can have a great dinner with drinks and still get out for under $100, which is becoming pretty rare these days. The atmosphere is so great- outdoor seating on picnic tables and dirt ground/floor. There is indoor seating, but there was a long wait so we opted to order from the Rib Shack. This had a limited menu but had a nice variety. There was lots to see and do. Pool tables, someone doing Characters (for a fee), and live music with a dance floor. Food was good. We had ribs, which were tender, fall off the bone. Coleslaw was ok. Beans were really good and it had chunks of meat in it as well. We also got the s'more's kit to make our own s'mores! read more

We had an awesome time here today. We stopped by for lunch. The menu is limited at lunch but still not bad. I had the Mesquite Chicken Salad and a Chili Soup. I liked the soup a lot. It was spicy but not over powering. The salad was large with lots of chicken. We were the first ones here but we were allowed to enter a little early. We were given menus and told to order at the bar. When the food was done the server brought into us. She was friendly and came by several times afterwards to ensure we were OK. I loved the layout with a western theme. This restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. There is even a bar outside as well as a dance floor. The ambiance is always great, especially when it's cool enough to use the firepits! Even in the hot summer days, it's comfortable, as they have misters. The food is good, but not great, for a steak house. If you go on a weekend, be prepared to wait in line for food! The place is always busy, but the bar does a really good job of getting people served pretty quickly. The workers are always pleasant, not rude! Most of them even have smiles on their faces. We have been here a few times and the food had been very good. Atmosphere is interesting but the noise level is very high, to the point you can't have a conversation. Service from wait staff isn't good, spend time looking for your waiter/waitress for drink refill, bill, etc.... They seem to disappear. Lighting is very dim, too dim in my opinion and outside in the evening = no lights. Today we decided to go for dinner and we requested a table specifically saying no booths only a table and it is for 3 people. After waiting only 5-10 minutes she took us to a booth - asked again for a table and she said it would be probably a good 20 minutes. I spotted a booth that also had a chair and asked about having that table and she said they were trying to hold that for someone else - Really?? We decided to leave and probably won't return honestly. Seems like a busy place but not much value put on their customers. Parking lot is usually pretty full, there are a few handicap parking spots. Walking inside there is a small area to sit and wait as well as a few benches outside where you can sit. Pretty crowded inside. What could improve? Better customer service for sure, value every customer. Train staff to be more attentive to customers. A little more lighting inside so we can see our food and each other. Not sure what you can do about the noise level except lower the music a little. Definitely need some lighting in the parking lot. More handicap parking spaces along the front on both sides of the entrance . read more

We came here on a Wednesday night with friends. We arrived around 4:30 PM and we were seated inside as it was still a little warm outside. However, they do have lots of misters so it's not too bad outside. When you sit inside, you have table service, which was nice. Our server was very nice and efficient. Our food came out within 10 minutes and was nice and hot! My husband ordered the full rack of ribs along with the steak fries. It also comes with cream corn and a roll. I ordered the flat iron steak with asparagus. It also came with cream corn and a roll. Both of our meals were quite delicious. I could only eat the top half of the asparagus because the lower half was a little woody. But there still was plenty of vegetables. We couldn't finish our meals so we took a little home for a lunch snack for the next day. Our friend's rib eye looked pretty good; we'll have to try that next time. They brought our friend out a piece of cheesecake to celebrate his birthday. It was a very nice birthday dessert. The outdoor singer was starting up as we were leaving. First, just an amazing atmosphere!! I love the open dining/bar/stage area with the multiple open fire pits. Even on a 90° evening it was still pleasant and conversation could take place while the band played in the background (Friday & Saturday nights only). The food options were fantastic and it gave you a little of that chuck wagon vibe. The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is that at a place like this I'm expecting a thick ribeye (1.5" to 2" thick) and a full plate of St. Louis style ribs. The baby backs are just too pricey for the small amount of meat. Thin cut ribeyes might cook faster but you lose the juiciness and flavor of a thick cut ribeye. Also, you should be able to order a spicy bbq sauce as an option instead of just the sweet. Don't get me wrong, the food was delicious and I enjoyed every bite, just some thoughts on taking it to the next level. read more

Awesome experience and great food is what I experienced. Shrimp cocktail made perfectly with great tasting cocktail sauce, burger was prepared perfect, and the steak baked potato and creamy corn so good! The service at the bar was excellent. Yesterday was the first time we ordered food at the walk up.... While in line I made eye contact with someone in the kitchen stuffing his face with food on the line wearing gloves. Watching him eat prior to ordering and then continuing working the line, no glove change, no hand washing, not stepping off the line to eat gave me such a bad ick from a health standpoint to where it made me question ordering food from there again knowing they don't take food safety or cleanliness seriously. read more

Came here to see a friend of mine who was playing drums as a fill-in for the band's drummer. First time here & was impressed with the great staff here. This place is very accommodating & provides a family friendly atmosphere. I saw people of all ages & walks of life enjoying the music, the food, & just enjoying their time there. The stage is a good sized stage for bands & there is a room off to the side of the stage for bands to store extra gear and personal items during the show. The sound is perfect. There is an outdoor dance floor to "cut a rug". There are fire pits for cold evenings. The food is really good as well. I tried the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw & potato cakes. Came to eat here before we went to Fat Cats near by. We came here for lunch, we were able to seat ourselves and when ready, we ordered at the bar. We were so hungry forgot to take pictures of our drinks and food before we dug in. But the food and drinks did not disappoint. We were hoping to try their ribs but unfortunately they only have those on their dinner menu which is at 4pm. I would suggest going early for dinner as it did get packed fast right at 4pm. ST Flats did it again! From the jump when you walk through the doors the staff are polite & welcoming. We had a small group and in less than 3 minutes they rearranged a few tables & chairs and we were seated. Our guests were there for the first time. They really enjoyed the decor as well as the overall atmosphere in the dining room. Our waitress & other table service was on their game and all seemed to enjoy their job. Now for the fun part, the food! I would put the ST Flats kitchen up against any of those pretentious uptown joints s any day. We have eaten at a number of places local as well as 50+ miles away just to be disappointed. After dinner I looked for the manager who was busy doing stuff, so I left a message with the hostess. I asked them to be sure to thank each & everyone in the kitchen for doing such a wonderful job. I also personally thanked them for making ST Flats a special place. Hopefully this will get to the whole work crew there to let them know their efforts are appreciated as well as thanking them for doing such a great job caring for their customers. Highly recommend sitting outside, grabbing a table, enjoying a cold one, and listening to some excellent country bands. Bring your dancing boots, too! The food here is pretty good! Their menu is a good size, and so are their portions. The Rancher Tips are probably my favorite thing on the menu! They're delicious! The bar has a good rotation of beer on tap as well as drink specials. San Tan Flats gets busy! If you're trying to sit outside, come early. Seats are first come, first serve. Review for San Tan Flats This experience highlighted systemic failures, inconsistent alcohol enforcement, and unacceptably rude staff behavior. One member of our party -- a 40-year-old adult was asked for ID. That is not the issue. He inadvertently left his physical ID at home and presented a valid government-issued ID on his phone (Texas). Alcohol service was denied, which he accepted without argument. That should have been the end of it. Instead, the situation escalated due to poor judgment and inconsistent enforcement. After being denied service, he briefly tasted a beer belonging to another adult. Staff immediately chose to remove him from the premises entirely, despite the fact that: * He was the only person carded * I was not carded * My wife was not carded * Other patrons around us were not carded * No effort was made to card anyone else at the table If San Tan Flats' position is alcohol compliance, then selective enforcement is not compliance. Policies must be applied uniformly, not arbitrarily. Beyond that, the entire operational flow of this establishment is a mess. The bartenders were consistently rude, dismissive, and escalatory rather than professional. Communication was poor, and the overall system feels outdated and chaotic. Most concerning: San Tan Flats requires patrons to surrender their credit card to keep a tab open. We are in 2026. There is no justification for a system that physically holds customers' cards rather than using modern POS technology. This became especially problematic when we were told to leave. Despite being asked to exit, we were physically unable to do so because our card was being held by the establishment. We were forced to stand in line after being told to leave just to retrieve our own property. In effect, we were being removed while our payment method was held hostage by a broken system. This was not about safety. This was not about the law. This was about poor training, outdated systems, rude staff, and inconsistent policy enforcement. San Tan Flats should seriously reevaluate their staff training and operational procedures, because this experience was inefficient, unprofessional, and completely avoidable.
