THE Burger and Fries with side of wing sauce
    Angie D.

My husband and I met at the Angry Dog many years ago and it quickly became our go to for food and drinks. The staff is so very friendly and accommodating. You can pretty much do whatever you want with the menu (omit or add things) and everything is delicious!! It's very casual and a very comfortable place to be. A great place to meet locals. We no longer live in Dallas but make sure to stop by whenever we are in town. Last visit we ate there twice. First time we split the beef and chicken nachos with bacon on top (yes we added bacon) it was plenty of food for two. Next visit hubby had the spinach salad with grilled chicken and I had the burger and fries with a side of wing sauce for dipping. Their burgers are so simple which is exactly what I want sometimes- no frill just delicious burger. The wing sauce is house made, be aware the hot is HOT and I love it (in moderation ). Angry Dog is truly one of my most favorite restaurants.

This my first time inside Angry Dog. My workmates decided that it was lunchtime and this is where we were going. I decided on the Angry Dog . A delicious chili dog that you have no choice but to eat with a fork and knife . It definitely hit the spot. Well the guys I went with seem to be regulars so we went to their table . All the employees seemed to know them so we had fantastic service. The ambiance is a sports bar.

This it is... The best burgers and hotdogs in Dallas. Not an exaggeration. Angry Dog has been a favorite for years and they never disappoint. If you look up "dive bar" online there might be a photo taken at the Angry Dog, It's about as basic inside as it could be with wooden chairs/tables, sports monitors, and a long well used bar. But somewhere in the back there's a grill made of magic, cause everything that comes off it is fantastic! Their burgers and dogs don't look unusual in anyway, until you chomp, then about half way thru the first bite your eyes glaze over and a burger brain fog slowly erases the memories of every other burger you had previously thought was good. On my Saturday afternoon visit I had a draft beer, their "Plain dog" (served open face). "The burger", and onion rings. Delivery was quick and their service staff is top notch. There are other places in Dallas claiming to have the best burgers, but there's only one place you can get one. Angry Dog.

Want a bar with great food? Angry Dog is the place. It is a straight forward establishment that delivers on all levels. The atmosphere and vibe are customer friendly . There are TV's for the sports minded. The long bar is incredible with plenty of seating and elbow room with knowledgeable bar tending. Plenty of tables from front to back. The kitchen is open and you can see and smell the creative work of the cooking. The menu is comprehensive focusing on food that compliments your favorite bar drinks. Best wings in Dallas! Awards for best hot dogs , hamburgers, and delicious appetizers. Located near downtown in Deep Ellum area. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night servings. I love this bar! You will too.

This little divey bar which happens to have a deliciously diverse selection of food and drinks is the perfect pre- or post-event spot. We have come here over the years and our most recent visit was just before the Royal Blood concert at the Southside Ballroom. I had The Natural which is a well-crafted vegetarian sandwich. I got it with tater tots, which came out hot and crispy. The sammie combo comes with ketchup and what seems to be a bbq ranch dressing. The service here is always friendly and super efficient. Every visit has been a great time.

Great spot in Deep Ellum offering bar bites and great drinks! Favorite item on the menu is their famous hot dog...smothered in chili and cheese it's one of the best hot dogs in Dallas!

I was in Deep Ellum for a photo shoot and had some time to go grab some food. I was greeted with a smile when I walked in. I was immediately given a menu and a glass of water which was awesome because it was so hot Angry Dog was right across the street from the Studio. I went in and they had a great lunch menu with decent prices . I picked street tacos ! 4 for 9.99 $. They were ribeye tacos !! Delicious I ordered 8 more and took them back to the studio for everyone!

Excellent service. The waiter was very friendly. We felt welcomed and valued. All of the food was amazing. The fried pickles were delicious. The fried onion rings were delicious. Both were fried perfectly. The dipping sauces were delicious. The fries were hot and their fry seasoning is addictive. They need to consider to sell it. The chili dogs were amazing. Great lunch.

This had a lot more flavor than what we expected and the homemade chips made it the perfect appetizer. 10/10 Rainbow Sushi Roll - this was also great. The roll tasted fresh, but it is on the spicer side so don't order unless you can handle some heat. 9/10 ***Entrees:*** I got the Beverly salad and subbed my shrimp for seared ahi. According to our waitress, she said the receipt would reflect the Seared Tuna salad since there is an upcharge for the substitution but the food came out just like I ordered. My salad was fresh, bright and didn't leave me feeling heavy. 10/10 My cousin ordered the Maple Salmon. I believe the waitress said they now use gochujang sauce instead of maple. My cousin really enjoyed her meal and said she would definitely order it again. 10/10 The bachelorette ordered the steak frites, she ordered it to be cooked medium but it came out a bit more rare than she preferred. She still ate it as is and said it was tender and flavorful. 9/10 Lastly we ordered the lobster mac, this was sooooo good! The mac was runnier than I would like but the taste made up for it. I would order it again. 9.5/10

I called before deciding where to eat on a Sunday afternoon to confirm parking situations. Parking is not easy downtown so this played a huge factor in figuring where, out of the dozens of brunch places, to eat. Definitely a bit of a walk to get accommodated at the actual restaurant so valet seemed the most reasonably enticing for parking solutions. Well, I called and spoke with the lady at the front desk. I confirmed with this little girl FOUR TIMES IF 1. They had valet available today 2. If it was complimentary. Come to find out it was not complimentary. And $7 for parking just doesn't sit well with me when there are ample free options else where with satisfying beverage, meal, ambiance, and service. All of which, I DID NOT GET AT HAYWIRE. I come in and although I had a reservation that I was 10 minutes early for while noticing tables available, I was told by that same girl who lied to me about parking I needed to take a seat. Reassuring me that it would only take two minutes to be seated. 10 minutes later I see coupled and groups walking in and guess what? They were immediately sat. While I am waiting to be sat at one of the three clean tables I'm staring at. I finally tell my boyfriend I am about to eat at the bar and he goes to the hostess stand to inform them our frustration and guess what? We were sat immediately. I get seated and there are two standing fans placed next to my table that's blowing my hair all over the f*****g place. I had to tell them to turn them off. What? No AC in this place either?? We immediately ordered and got the elk tacos for an appetizer. The tacos are WAY too spicy and way too salty. Too spicy AND too salty?? They're a no for me. You literally can't taste anything because of both! I HATED these little tacos. Probably the worst I've ever had. Ever seen someone attempt to pinch a bit of salt to season and the entire top comes off?? These tacos. My boyfriend had the chicken fried steak. He loved it (loves spicy and seasonings because he's Cajun) but I tried it and it was over seasoned. Again? Couldn't taste what I was eating. The mashed potatoes were divine. Enjoyed those! And then the green beans were tasteless. Hahaha what a joke. I ordered the barbacoa chilaquiles and it was literally too spicy to eat. Inedible. My eyes teared up, my nose started running, and I couldn't taste anything after a couple bites of the spice. I was so f*****g over this place I just ate my boyfriend's mashed potatoes and we left. If I had it my way, I wouldn't have paid for a thing here. They don't deserve our money and I HATE they got a cent from me. I'm livid. I hate this place W I L L N E V E R B E B A C K

I sampled a few bites from everyone's plates, including the Pepperoni & Italian Sausage Pizza, Fried Chicken (buttermilk biscuit, smashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts), and the Crunchy Chicken Tacos (queso Oaxaca, refried black beans, roasted corn slaw, and salsa borracha). Everything I tried had great flavor and was well prepared. I also tried the Spicy Rigatoni with chicken sausage, roasted mushrooms, spinach, Calabrian panna, and pecorino breadcrumbs. I customized mine by swapping the chicken sausage for blackened chicken and removing the mushrooms, and it was delicious! Several people in our group ordered the Beer Battered Fish & Chips with coleslaw and tartar sauce, and they all raved about it. Features a compact bar with only 2 screens, which again is preferential versus something loaded to the gills with cheap TCL displays. Menu is simple and direct, with all of what you might expect from an upscale neighborhood bar & grill. The tuna tartare is excellent, but it's more of a dip almost than a traditional imagining. It has jalapeno, heaps of cilantro, and muddled avocado to tie it all together. Very fresh and pleasant. Pastrami sliders were also tasty, but I would venture to say they are a little too bready for an appetizer, but nicely done otherwise. My go to entree is of course either the hanger steak or filet with fries and semi traditional bistro sauce, can't go wrong there. I have only seen 2 deserts on the menu, but there might be some special appearances from time to time. The do not miss item there is the Basque cheesecake. Which is basically a cheese forwards cheesecake without a crust, and somewhat reduced sugar content versus it's American cousins. Very good, and served with a berry coulis. The only trespass I experienced was with the wine list. It's overall somewhat expensive for what's listed, and on my last visit two bottles I had ordered were out of stock. That being said there are good picks here from Premier Cru Chablis to Faust Cabernet Sauvignon.
