Anh Oi bake shop is such a fantastic small business in the CID. I love that they feature a rotation of bakers and also host coffee/dessert popups. It's a small cozy space so people mostly float around and pick up some baked goods to go. Their signature cookies have unique flavors, some of my favorites include the Thai tea persimmon and the fried banana. I've tried two coffee/matcha popups. Aufe's lychee matcha latte and Happy Alley's mango sticky rice matcha are both spectacular.

Food - obs the cookies are my #1. im a stan from day 1. the strawberry corn is prob my fav cookie ever in life. nothing will ever compare. we also tried a few other sweets from the other vendors. bread and a rice krispie that was also really good. we got drinks from au phe. Service - the best. very friendly. happy to explain any food items. theres even a microwave in case you want to heat up your goodies while you enjoy your drinks. a good spot to chill since they have a few chairs set up. Ambiance - so cute inside. bring a book. live your ghibli dream.

I've been following Vince Vu's vision of nostalgia and identity through cookies ever since I had the Saigon Soul cookie from a Tet event at Anchovies and Salt earlier this year, and have gotten his cookies several times in other events since. Now he finally has a physical location for his goods, and even has many other independent bakers along with him here! I went during the first day of soft opening on Friday 5/15/26 around 2pm and the grand opening party on Saturday 5/23/26 around 11am, so this review will encompass both days. Interior comprises of space for Vince's Anh Oi cookies along with indie bakers, ceramics creators and even a coffee vendor, all under one roof and giving emphasis to bringing a community together through food. I've heard that the bakers rotate every now and then, so I'm very intrigued to get to have the pastries of many indies the more I come here in the future! For the soft opening visit, I was greeted by Vince himself, who was handing out samples of many of the products throughout the store, and he and others around welcomed and struck conversations with me and everyone coming inside. Many products were still in stock despite me coming in later than the actual opening time of the store of 9am, so I was able to snag some cookies and a couple of pastries that piqued my interest. I also grabbed a black sesame coffee drink that absolutely kept me awake in the best way. For the grand opening party, products from the soft opening still remained along with a couple other new items that would be best eaten the day of, such as in-house made matcha ice cream, large and delicious tiramisu cakes, uniquely flavored cream puffs and aesthetically colorful parfaits. Line system was relatively smooth for crowd control, and Vince and some of the bakers themselves were handing out their samples to everyone waiting in line in a similar fashion to the soft opening day. It was awesome getting to meet some of the bakers too! I grabbed myself some more cookies along with pastries that I didn't get a chance to try at their soft opening day, along with a lychee matcha drink from the same coffee vendor. This is such a unique business concept to have in the CID, and I see myself coming back here way more than once to get more cookies, check out the rotating indies, and in general support the very friendly environment that Vince's vision is creating!

I first came upon Anh Oi Bake Shop after trying a cookie at TruLe Cafe near SLU/QA. I started following Vince Vu and his baking projects via IG and it definitely piqued my interest. I had an opportunity to stop in during the soft opening (5/15/26). Great program from Seattle Restored to place indie businesses in empty retail spots to revitalize neighborhoods. Anh Oi Bake Shop took it additional steps forward to share the space with fellow indie bakers, pastry chefs, coffee purveyors, and other creatives. It encourages showcasing and strengthening community bonds. The brilliant idea also reinforces return visits to see the next group of rotating indies onsite. I was able to purchase more cookies, another baker/pastry chef's nougat, and have one of the best phin style coffees in the city. I am excited seeing a new wave of under 35 somethings do their business thing and flourish in the greater Seattle area. While in Seattle's CID/Japantown, be sure to stop in and visit. Help support this innovative business model. **Grand opening is scheduled for Saturday 5/23/26**

If you are looking for uniquely delicious baked goods and drinks with Asian flares, or to support a small business owned by a super nice guy, or you want are looking for a community where Asians support each other, you definitely need to check out this bakery. I took my kid to the Grand Opening event this Saturday, and it was so much fun to watch a room of talented Asian bakers showcase their creations to celebrate this much needed space. I truly love the concept of trying products from multiple and rotating bakers. The drinks from Aufe are also amazing - I didn't know lychee with coffee and matcha can taste so good; also owners are just the nicest! I'm so excited for my haul, and I can't wait to come back to try more!

I went to their first day of soft opening and it was great! Vince is such a nice guy and he make you feel very hospitable. He was passing out samples and socializing with everyone. I love the concept of having multiple bakers showing up in one. He had a toaster and oven if you need to heat up food that you want to eat right away. They had a couple of drinks available as well. I got the fried banana cookie, the canele and the nougat. All were delicious and addicting. It didn't even make it through the 2nd day haha I can't wait to come back to try other things there.

wow is this a gem of a place! i ran in to check it out as i was doing saturday errands and the curation of items (aprons, ceramics, baked goods, etc) is so great and so representative of diverse communities in our region i had to spread the wealth so i got a thai tea persimmon cookie, a pandan coconut rice krispie treat and a delicious blushberry (non caffeinated) drink. it was really hard to decide but i did so knowing i will come back and explore other menu options this summer. i truly hope they do well in the coming weeks and into the fall and winter. fingers crossed that other people value and understand the goal of giving voice and storefront access to various artisans. in my opinion. a genius idea!

Good place to get cookies around Seattle Chinatown. Overall, the cookie was good, maybe I wasn't a huge fan of the fried banana coo, wish the flavor was a bit more stronger with more banana pieces. Other than that, the cookie was more of the plain side, I would come back and try something else!

Only briefly went in with a friend who was grabbing some stuff. Tried two of their cookies, the Vietnamese coffee and the fried banana. Vietnamese coffee cookie smelled wonderful but wish it tasted more like coffee, very chocolate forward which isn't a bad thing. The fried banana cookie, however. Go for this alone, warm it up in the microwave and enjoy one of the best cookies you'll ever have. Soft, chewy and warm, and that delicious caramelized banana flavor. I've been thinking about this cookie for the past week now, go try one asap. Ended up going during the Japantown market and this was one of the participating businesses. Staff is super friendly, and it was a cute little spot. Not a lot of seating if I remember correctly, but I definitely want to go back and try their coffee

The croissant was on the crispier side, especially with the almond crumble on top it was a bit too cripsy for me, but I tend to like soft and flakey pastries so it's probably a matter of taste. There was a TON of almond filling in the middle. I enjoyed the taste and texture but it was too much filling for me personally. I would have liked more croissant in my croissant, so to say haha. The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.

You will have to find street parking, but I've never had too much trouble in this neighborhood even on the weekend. Butter Croissant (3.75/5): I'll admit I'm insanely picky with my croissants and I think Sea Wolf's is just okay. I want a stronger crisp on the outside, something that almost shatters and makes a mess when you bite in, but the inside has a nice chew. Kouign Amann (3.75/5): I had a really fantastic time with this my first time picking it up, they have almost a crunchy sugar caramel crust on the outside with super buttery pastry inside. Unfortunately, my second time picking this up ended up being a miss, just stale and much to dry. Cinnamon Roll (1/5): The raisins are a nice touch, but this was awfully dry. Even the caramelized crus on the outside couldn't save this and charging extra for cream cheese frosting on top of a dry dough is criminal.
