Anina in Hayes Valley is such a fun spot! The drinks were really good, and the service was fast and efficient, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The vibe is lively and cute, perfect for hanging out and enjoying a great cocktail. Definitely try to go early though--it gets crowded quickly. Overall, a great place for good drinks and a fun atmosphere!

Great vibes and great drinks! We came with a group of 7 and they have plenty of seating available. There's the inside and also an outdoor patio which has a lot of longer tables and even a taco stand. We got one of the punch bowls and I also got the seafoam spritz. The drink was really good! Nice and sparkling without being too sweet. I love the taste of elderflower and this was paired really well in the drink. Definitely a fun place to hang out!

Updating to add that the second to last time I bought drinks here, I was overcharged by $10. Not sure what's up with bars in SF, but they really need to be more attentive and make sure they're entering numbers correctly. The last time I stopped in for drinks, I told the staff about the overcharge, but rather than taking the time to help me resolve the issue, they just said to contact them later. To be fair, I get it, it's always busy at the bar, and they have a business to run, but I feel like part of running a good business is paying attention to the small details and ensuring every patron leaves with a positive experience.

Really like the vibes at Anina! Very centrally located on Hayes, this bar is always very lively. I've come here for both corporate events (they have a nice outdoor area) and with larger groups of friends. The punch bowl is a fun experience for sure, and the service is reasonable.

Drinks were unfortunately not it, was the first time everyone left taking only a few sips of their drinks. All three went overboard with the sweetness level. They do have a lot of patio space, good for big groups -- was surprisingly quiet on a friday evening.

Really cute cocktail bar in Hayes. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon for a quick drink and we loved sitting in the outdoor patio, people watching on a gorgeous day. The cocktails were great and I loved Salad Days which reminded of a boozy green juice. Anina has a great, relaxed vibe perfect for a daytime drink and the location is super convenient on Hayes St.

Stumbled upon Anina when I was out wondering around Hayes Street on Saturday! It had really good day vibes with the outdoor patio and open bar area. We came in to grab a drink and relax after exploring the area. The drinks were great and I was surprised that the mezcal margarita wasn't overpowering. The bartenders were great and friendly and provided helpful suggestions.

Anina is a great happy hour spot in Hayes Valley. Their espresso martini's are bomb and hit the spot. Very laid back and casual atmosphere here, good happy hour prices!

Pretty good place to chill with friends, but look at the before and after of my cocktail. Look how much ice is left in my drink. My god.

We stopped in Anina during our first time exploring Hayes Valley and found their large outdoor patio super inviting. Although they were super busy and only had two bartenders on staff, both bartenders were super friendly and attentive and provided great service. This place has a nice low key vibe and their reasonable prices for cocktails with good ingredients is a plus also. My partner ordered the Vernal Pools while I got the Fool's Gold. The Vernal Pools had a nice combination of flavors with the tequila, apple, ginger and chili coming together nicely, although the drink didn't have as much of a heat kick as we were expecting. The Fool's Gold was also nice and refreshing, with the whisky, turmeric, ginger, and Benedictine providing a nice light but also complex flavor.

Had a lovely time at Anina for drinks with my friends. We went at around 6:30PM on a Saturday and it was filled ! We originally tried to sit outside because they have such a lovely outdoor area, but it was so crowded and the acoustics were so bad we couldn't even hear each other. Luckily there was space in their indoor section which was surprisingly much quieter. I got not one, but two Royal Scams, a fruity yet very balanced and acidic drink. Definitely one of the best drinks in the city ! Can't wait to go back, but probably on a less busy day.

    Ask the Community - Anina

Is it dog friendly during the day?

I've seen dogs inside and outside, I even saw a pet parrot outside once. I'd say it's safe to bring your dog outside especially during the day!

Can I bring my kid with me?

No, the website says "ALL GUESTS MUST BE 21+ - NO EXCEPTIONS"

    Is it Dog friendly?

Not sure, but presumably so. There was a bulldog there that probably belongs to either the owners or a staff person, and the dog was just lounging around inside.

Are there food trucks every night? Any way to find out what kind of food and when it is there?

The answer is NO! The management team at Anina book Pop-Ups 2 to 3 times per week generally between Wednesday thru Sunday as a courtesy to improve the overall experience. For the days that we don't offer these extra services, the answer is simple...…

After a soccer game, or to celebrate something, or just on a random Tuesday night. But somewhere along the way, pizza became a delivery thing. Something to eat when I was feeling lazy. My quest to find the best pizza in San Francisco is reminding me how much I enjoy sitting down for pizza with the ones I love. And Hi Hat is one of the best spots in the city to do that. The people are super nice. There's plenty of space to cozy up, and probably a dozen beers on tap. Good, local beers, like Bare Bottle. Cellarmaker. Ghost Town. And yes, the food is really really good. Especially the pizza. They're known for their spicy vodka and Stracciatella which has this creamy, garlicky sauce...and a slow burn to it. I really enjoyed it. And the jersey pie, which is really all about the tomatoes. My wife LOVED it. I thought it was good....in a simple pleasures kinda way. You can these by the slice, and after 9PM slices are three bucks. But some pies, you can only get whole. Like this sausage and ricotta pizza that I absolutely loved. I'm normally not a ricotta guy - but this was whipped so light and airy...in between bites of salty sausage....I get it now. And of all the NY style spots I've tried on this quest, this might be my favorite crust. I asked their pizza tosser how he does it. It's a five day process, and they keep the dough cold until the second it goes in the oven. That traps the air bubbles inside. And those bubbles are what give it this airy, crispy, fluffy crust. Then he slid a cookie in front of my daughter, and it hit me that this was HER first random tuesday nights going out to pizza with mom and dad...and I know she loved it too.

Their beer is excellent, and I've heard nothing but great things about the place and people. We visited on a Sunday and met friends, who said it took a while to get a big table for us; it was surprisingly packed! It's a large industrial brewery, with the equipment chained off at the back. They make great use of the rest of the building with large tables, small tables, bar seating/standing room, plus an arcade area, outside seating area, and a few cozy living room style areas with stuffed furniture at the back. To the right on entry is the canned beer for takeout, to the left is their large bar and impressive tap list. We mostly get IPAs, so it was fun to try their other styles like rice lagers and a barleywine, everything was excellent. Their flights are huge, basically half size goblet pours in a six rack. Prices are reasonable for the well developed beer. They also had a food vendor outside, which we loved (see separate review). From the outside, The Beer Hall almost blended into its surroundings - I almost walked right by if it hadn't been for the neon "The Beer Hall" sign. The taproom is quite spacious and could accommodate several large groups; however, the night of our visit was relatively quiet, perhaps due to the cold weather. Since there weren't any large tables, our group spread out over three smaller tables. As people came and went throughout the evening, it was convenient that we could each order our own beer and food at the bar. I selected an IPA from Fieldwork, a local favorite, and the beer stayed cold and refreshing throughout the evening. The food menu was limited, but I was craving something warm and salty to pair with my beer. For nearly $10, the fries weren't cheap, but the plate was piled high with some of the best fries I've had in a while. They were served piping-hot alongside two dipping sauces - aioli and ketchup. My friends sitting around me couldn't resist them either, and the mountain of fries disappeared in record time. The servers at the bar were very friendly and checked in on our group often. We spent a few hours enjoying our conversation and beer, overall having a fun, laid-back evening.
