This place is prime real estate with some great daily deals and the best falafel I've ever had, I don't know why it doesn't get more business. Very generous with their portion sizes and all the meat is spiced very well. The sauces are all to die for and I could drink them straight. I don't want to blow this spot up but I need them to stay in business please try!!

Service is top notch here. Food is fresh and looks great. Bathrooms are so clean. Great experience.

I stopped by this spot while waiting for my shirt to be fixed at the tailor. I figured I would get my last meal in for night and wanted to sit down to have a bite. A spacious place and a friendly staff. First off, the lentil soup tasted magnificent. I wished the soup had some whole lentil in it. However, the flavors were definitely delightful. The bread was soft and good. The lamb gyro, the lamb, could have been cooked a little more for my taste, and the seasoning was different for my overall liking. However, the ingredients were fresh, and I asked for more sauce. The one they give you is not enough. Overall, the soup and the bread were the high lights.

The inside is spacious with plenty of seating although the ambiance is not great. Its dark inside and clean. It's very plain and new feeling just not much of any vibe. The staff was super friendly and helpful. My food came out quickly. There were some people sitting inside. This is a fine place to go to eat alone and casually. I got the lamb gyro rice dish platter which was nearly $19... a little overpriced if you ask me. The meat was very thinly sliced and had some good flavor but nothing crazy impressive and the flavor was light. The dish comes with salad veggies + rice + a slice of bread + hot sauce and white sauce + your choice of meat. Overall it was very mid food wise and on the expensive side. The bread wasn't pita bread which was disappointing. The lentil soup looked yummy.

Tried the mixed gyro platter and the chicken was flavorful and juicy. The lamb/beef is the processed kind versus the slabs of lamb mixed with fat but it was still tasty. I think you are supposed to get 3 kinds of meat but that was unclear if we did or not. There were 3 spits of meat cooking though. I just looked it up and the Yaprok gyro is the one with pieces of meat rather than minced meat. The small platter was definitely enough for 2 people if you get a side. Also had the babaganoush with bread which was tasty. I wish they maybe offered smaller portions of the spreads so you could get them if you were by yourself. at $9 each they only make sense if you are sharing. Don't come here for the ambience.

Buyer beware; ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! Would give zero stars if I could but it's not possible. I ordered two orders of soup and a chicken shish kabob. What I received was a plastic bag of soup literally. Both containers of soup were delivered with the contents spilled out into the bottom of the bag; a giant inedible mess. Whoever packed the order was out to lunch that day and so was the delivery person. For the record, I ordered from Ankara #3's site. After I received the bag of cr@p, I called Ankara #3 and the person I spoke to was absolutely useless and had zero interest in rectifying the situation, be it a refund or replacing the order. I would never order from this restaurant again and I urge potential customers to beware of this "business."

Heard the hype, went for the hype, was pleased with the hype. Maybe the best Turkish I've had in the city for quite some time. My brother and I split two different sandwiches, large portions, got a Fanta. Such a gem for lunch or to take out of owners.

Very mediocre Turkish food. I had the mixed gyro, and all the meats were lacking flavor. Same with the sauce. It's also a bit oily.

It's really great, just go. Authentic kebab shops are hard to come by in the US. Very friendly staff as well.

Wow, I am bummed that I waited so long to come to NAR. I was talking to a Turkish friend at work…read moreawhile back and he recommended I try this place as we were discussing Turkish restaurants. I added to my list but didn't try it until this week and I was blown away! The restaurant is lovely and has a great vibe (although it is a little loud due to the low ceilings). Service was great reflecting exceptional Turkish hospitality. My friends and I started with small mezzes (all delicious) and zucchini blossoms, which I could have had as a standalone meal. I had the Turkish delight meat dish and that was super. My husband had the beyti and it was the best I've ever had. We all ate way too much and waddled out of there way too full. Prices are about what you'd expect in that part of town and it's worth every penny. I will definitely be back. I recommend that you go here too and am confident you'll find everything is cok guzel!

Super glad I got to try out NAR and I hope it does well, because the food is straight up amazing. I started off with a glass of the Cotes d'Avanos Narince Blend from Turkey and I highly recommend! It's medium bodied and acidic, with mineral, stone fruit, and citrus, and would go really well with seafood. For food, we began with the mezze sampler, which included babaganoush, muhammara, and hummus. This is a great way to start the meal, especially since Nar serves a delicious bread (crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside) as a complementary starter. My favorites were the muhammara, an intense, piquant spread made with roasted red peppers and pomegranate molasses, and the ever-smoky babaganoush, which was served with pomegranates. The hummus was great, too; I just thought it wasn't a standout. -Aegean Style Cherry Vine Leaf Sarma (stuffed vine leaves, cherry yogurt, pine nuts, currants): Delicious. The savory, salty sarma are tasty on their own, but best when lightly sweetened with the cherry yogurt and tart, juicy currants. -Beyti Kebab (hand minced lamb wrapped in lavash, yogurt, confit tomatoes): This was the most flavorful lamb - juicy, smoky, perfectly spiced - I've had in a long time. The lavash (bread) that it was rolled in was also spiced, the yogurt was cooling, and the tomatoes and bell peppers a fresh and flavorful accompaniment. We finished off the meal with ice cream and Turkish coffee. The coffee took a while, so they took it off of our bill, which was a kind gesture. The ice cream was a different experience! It was made with goat milk, so the flavor was distinct, and it was extremely thick. High-quality and fun to try, but just a little too thick for my preferences.

I had ordered ala turka but its not authentic really. pI think that this might've been the best Turkish food in New York City. I've been to Turkey several times and this was one to one authentic and the lentil soup is the best I've had also, the rice pudding is wow. As far as the meal I ordered the lamb chops and it came with the rice with the rice was perfection. It was completely cooked better than any other rice I've had in a long time. I must say the lamb chops I would say was mediocre, but I mean the price is such a good price that it is kind of what it is. I mean one seemed to be overcooked. The other three was edible and tender. Sometimes there's just one bad item. I don't know, but I'm going to order again tonight and try it again. Let's give them one more chance of the lamb chops. It's probably the best lentil soup I've had since istanbul.

The place wasn't busy during lunch time but busy during dinner time. Amazing service and delicious food! The food was fresh and came out fast. Lunch specials are $21.95 for 2 courses while dinner specials are $36.95 for 4 courses. I had the Eggplant with Tomato Sauce and Beets as the first course and Lamb Adana Kebab as Entrée. Lamb Adana Kebab comes with salad, which I can't have since it's cold and raw, but they were able to accommodate me and replaced salad with more rice. I had Kabak Tatlısı, which has a nice sweet taste and is healthy. All were delicious, also gluten free, dairy free and soy free. Plus, the Turkish Tea as the fourth course was a great pair with my meals. Their menu offers a variety of choices, including options that are gluten free, dairy free, and soy free. I would definitely come back and suggest you give this place a try if you are in Hell's Kitchen or Columbus Circle.
