For as long as I can remember, my skin and I have had a love-hate relationship…read more She gets mad at me for the slightest things. I mean I can understand poking and prodding but rubbing and smothering on creams? I have to do that. In my defense though, she still gets angry when I leave her alone; acting all harsh and dry. What does she want me to do? In the past, she's gotten back at me by riddling me with acne that turns into ugly dark marks. She's also left me with blotchy, sun-sensitive skin that could barely be covered with makeup. Now that I'm older, she's starting throwing other things my way. In her latest attempt to show me how much she hates me, she put a laugh line right down the left side of my face and I'm not even old enough for laugh lines...at least that's what I told her but she just laughed and said "be grateful for the gray-less locks on your head. Let's see how much longer that lasts." So I was quiet. I don't wanna fight. She's tough but sensitive. Evil but at times kinda pretty. I always wondered what it would be like to have skin that looks healthy and happy and beautiful. I told Clori about my one laugh line and she recommended JoJo. JoJo is an esthetician with years of experience that works under Clori's salon. Today was my second visit with her. My first was 3 weeks ago. She used a contouring machine, microneedling, uplifting machine, circulating, facial massage, did extractions and facials. Forget my opinion. My skin loves her! She's not as angry as she used to be. She looks amazing! So moisturized and I swear I can barely see her pores. In fact, she's so dang happy, she took that laugh line away and guess what? She's glowing! Yes Hunty!! Glowing!!! I've scheduled my 3rd appointment for the beginning of December...right around my 35th birthday (yes I'm turning 35 again..so what?) I'm going to continue going to JoJo because she makes my skin happy! And guess what? When she's happy...so am I! Highly, highly recommend!

It's not cheap, its not fast, and it is not very good…read more I tried it a few times when I first moved to the area, and had mixed feelings but ultimately found a different salon. I had to try it again recently to work with a tight schedule of mine which was a big mistake. It took two hours for a gell fill-in, midday on a weekday. Not only that, but my hands were sore and bleeding, my nails started lifting right away and were breaking after a week. When I was finally able to get back to my usual salon, I needed to get a whole new set because of the damage (and fungus?) that had been done to my hands. Very frustrated and I will not be coming back.

Great spot for a scalp massage with my sister is Milburn…read more We decided to do a sibling massage room instead of a couples massage to enjoy each other's company along with letting our heads melt into their hands. They did a scalp wash with shampoo, conditioner and a couple of massages, brush, wash and rinse. It was coupled with neck, shoulder, arm and hand massages because I have less hair than my sister. Took advantage of the Groupon for our session and had to pay $10 for taxes and then tip afterwards.

Had an overall incredible experience with my classic headspa Appointment at Millbutn Glamour Day…read moreSpa! When I arrived, I was greeted warmly and after I used the restroom, I was escorted right to my room. They already scored points for me in this area! Appointments should start on time!!! Nina and Linda did my service today and they were very sweet! The service was unlike anything I've experienced. During the entirety of my service, some part of me was getting massaged. If it wasn't my neck and shoulders, it was my face or my arms and hands. I was not expecting all of that and was very happy and relaxed. Multiple tools were used on my scalp throughout the appointment, such as their fingers, gua shas and other tools to help the circulation in my scalp. There was at least 30-40 minutes of massaging before my hair even got washed. My only downside is that they use the same products for all hair types. I have very curly hair and with that comes dryness - it's the dryers hair type. They just kept telling me "your hair is dry" and it didn't seem like they had good product for my hair. After my appointment, I was headed to work so I called previously to ask if the hair is styled after the service and I was told yes "blow dried". My naive self thought that that ment a blow out. Guess not so naive, because I know there are places in the city that do finish off your service with a blow out. Really, what they meant was a light blow dry and the rest with air dry. This does not work for curly hair, sadly. My hair was a frizzy mess and was not their fault - that's just how curly hair is. You have to add product to it. So I had to run to the pharmacy to get product since I went directly to work after this. That is truly my only complaint, but to be honest, I would still book again and just know to bring my own styling products to apply after the massage and wash. Thank you to the wonderful ladies at Millburn Glamour Day Spa!
