Great service and good food, trucker passing through town, really nice ambiance and the food was amazing, so much to choose from.

One of my favorite local restaurants. Lovely indoor and outdoor seating available. I had the falafel wrap with hummus and a side salad with some delicious cilantro lime dressing. The portion size is generous. I had a delicious lemon ginger chilled beverage, that was a tasty pairing with my meal. Great vegetarian restaurant and great location in the North valley. Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean and welcoming vibe. They also have a halfprice Chai happy hour weekdays from 3 to 5Pm

I was really glad to have an opportunity to check out Annapurna Cafe recently. I love the calming venue...and with chanting sound in background. What a lovely environment that's good for your soul as well. I tried their chai, Mumbai Frankie and samosas and thought they tasted good. The Mumbai Frankie was probably not super authentic Indian as it contained cheese, the dosa was a bit soft/mushy than crispy as I would have liked and there was no side dipping sauce/soup as I would have expected out of a dosa. However, all the dishes tasted great and they definitely calmed my craving for Indian food for quite a bit. Of note, the samosa sauces that they provided tasted wonderful! I would love to have them again! There were a few hickups: 1) they were very understaffed. The food took a while to come out. Luckily, I was there before a bunch of tables came in for lunch...but I did hear a table close to me complain a bit about how long it took to order and get their food. 2) I ended up taking my samosas to go on a long roadtrip. I honestly wished they didn't wrap the samosas so tightly in a foil. It made a crispy outer dough so soft and soggy. That said, the fillings were great..and the sauces were everything that made the dish taste great. I would love to stop by this place again, especially when I feel like having vegetarian food in a calm, collected environment!

Healthy, healing and nourishing. This is my go to place when I want to be good to my body or I need a yummy chai and chocolate date ladu!!! Tonight it's a meal before a movie and we are indulging in the 4th street special of veggie fried rice which we have whenever available, samosas, a cup of kitchari, lavender mint tea and mango cheesecake. My favorite meal is the Mataag Paneer, which fills my body with yummy goodness and peas!! Love the sauce. My boyfriend to likes this place now too and he even suggests it now!

Love this place.. food is so yummy and makes me feel healthier just eating it. Such a variety of options on the menu and the ambience is beautiful with all the drapes ceilings and the friendly service oriented staff. You cannot go wrong eating here. Even meat eaters will like this place.

Not perfect, but healthier than other options. The veggie burger is zesty and the quesadillas are pretty good.

Itality immediately stood out when I began doing research before my trip to Albuquerque. They…read moredescribe their cuisine as whole plant-based Pueblo food. It includes some items I'd never tried before such as atole (blue corn porridge) and Pueblo-style enchiladas as well as some things more familiar to me like their beans/greens bowl (Fiesta Bowl). I follow a whole foods/plant-based diet and was eager to try nearly every single item on the menu (except for a few deep-fried items), so I actually made 3(!!) trips here during my three-day stay in Albuquerque, and I still didn't even try everything I wanted to. My favorite item was the Feast Bowl, which comes with the bean of the day (e.g. chickpeas or pinto beans), sautéed kale, fresh avocado, and quinoa. It is a smallish portion (good for me because I wanted to try multiple things) and really tasty. A little on the salty side. I ordered this multiple times and would add it to any meal. My next most favorite item was the lentil and green chile soup, which was the "daily kyu-nah" (daily stew) all three days that we went. It was sooo hearty and comforting and delicious, with potato chunks and other veggies and amazing flavor. The next shoutout goes to the tamales, filled with black beans and veggies. Delicious enough for me to order repeatedly. I also loved the atole, a warm and lightly sweetened porridge made from blue corn. A bit reminiscent of cream of wheat. I had a hard time deciding between this and the blue corn waffles which also looked fantastic. I love that they serve breakfast all day. The green omega smoothie was tasty, and I appreciated that it came in a small or large size. The only dish I didn't particularly enjoy was the Pueblo-style enchiladas. It is a single enormous thick whole wheat wrap folded up with kale and zucchini inside. The wrap was infused with red chile powder, and it was extremely salty and rather dry, although the veggie filling was nice. Some of my friends liked this dish, but it wasn't for me. Overall, I loved this restaurant and could have eaten every meal of my trip there. Next time I come to Albuquerque, I'll probably try to stay within walking distance of Itality so it's even easier to go over and over. (Being in the same parking lot as La Montañita Food Co-op was just icing on the cake!)

We came around 3:30pm so we could catch the masala chai happy hour. I love masala chai and rarely have the chance to get freshly made dairy-free chai. I was disappointed basically from the first moment after walking inside. The server greeted us by announcing, "We are out of vegetables today." I didn't know how this was possible; eventually, she explained that they had run out of the "veggies of the day" that come with certain dishes such as the yogi plate; they were still able to provide vegetables in other dishes like the kitchari. But I was shocked, since I love vegetables, and their veggies of the day are so prominently advertised. I asked if the other location had vegetables available today. The server was unable to tell me. We decided to place our order anyway. I had some questions about the baked goods, since I rarely get the chance to have desserts that are vegan and seed oil-free. I was curious if any of the baked goods was entirely oil-free or at least free of coconut oil. The server seemed very unmotivated to help me figure this out. When I asked about ingredients, she just repeatedly pointed me to the labels on the cookies that denoted the type of sugar each one contained as well as certain allergens, but did not have full ingredient lists. I asked if the chef or manager might be available to clarify certain ingredients, only to be told that "the chef usually only works in the mornings." I was at a loss, and eventually, with some obvious reluctance, the server went into the kitchen to ask one of the cooks about the ingredient lists. The server returned saying "Yes, the majority of the items have coconut oil." Ummmm the majority? Which ones, exactly? At this point, I gave up and just did not order dessert. I tried to order an iced chai which they were out of. I ended up getting a hot chai as well as kitchari and dal. The chai was pretty average. It wasn't particular spicy nor particularly hot. The kitchari and dal were actually incredibly delicious. It's rare to find a restaurant that doesn't use excessive salt; these dishes were perfectly seasoned with warm, nourishing spices and very little (if any?) salt. Even the fact that they were served basically lukewarm didn't detract from how much I enjoyed them. This place seems truly special and I don't know if my experience was an exception. I really wanted to love them, but they made it pretty difficult, despite having great and healthy food.

The only problem here is that there were too many delicious choices! I chose the yogi bowl with spiced potatoes and chana masala. My husband chose the "green plate" with stuffed poblano peppers. While my son had the cauliflower tacos with black beans. We all enjoyed our meals and left the restaurant feeling full and happy. To those who complain that the food is "bland", I totally disagree. Try their sauces, my favorite was the date chutney. The service was also friendly and fast. I will say, however, that the dining area needed a clean, but I sympathize because they did appear to be understaffed. I plan to visit again next time I'm in town!

I told them I'd heard about it and they searched. happily found it, and purchased a very fab chocolate cake. One of my girls loves to decorate so they bought just plain and decorated it. Very unassuming building, with little identification but so happy I stopped. Inside was clean, well lit, and lots of choices for sweets, and not so sweet pizzas, pie crusts, ready to bake options and of course, cakes, doughnuts, cinnamon rolls and dinner rolls. Helpful staff but not pushy, although I'm not sure if they were reluctant to offer help to avoid being pushy, but as a first time customer, I would have enjoyed being greeted and acknowledged a bit friendlier. Maybe just like " welcome, is this your first time here/" because it is a bit overwhelming in what is offered. There is a nice area to sit and enjoy your food in the back, although it was a bit dark, and not well marked, but very clean and cozy. I have been back a couple of more times and now that I know it is close to my major West to East driving path I will definitely add to my regular stops on that side of town. I was definitely impressed with the overall experience each time.

One of the things I appreciated most was being able to eat without worrying about cross-contamination since the entire facility is gluten-free. That peace of mind is hard to find in New Mexico. Before leaving, we grabbed a cinnamon roll and a pecan sticky bun to go. They both looked really good! We heated them up when we got gone and both were great. Overall, it was a great experience.
