I was in town visiting my mom so my aunt and I came here for brunch. I've been to another location before and enjoyed the meal. Although this location seems fairly newer, I wasn't as impressed. I ordered biscuits and gravy with hash browns, eggs and sausage. My aunt ordered a waffle with an egg on the side with bacon. When they brought her bacon I thought she would say something because it was burnt! But, maybe she likes her bacon overcooked. She ate it My meal was just okay. Somehow the hash browns were both slightly burnt and soggy at the same time. The gravy was lacking seasoning and I felt there wasn't enough of it. I suppose I could have asked for more. I only ate less than half of it. Something was lacking! I also think they were understaffed. Several people were waiting quite some time for their orders to be taken. Our server was pleasant and she did check on us once. Maybe we came on a bad day, but I felt the experience could have been better. While some do not like this area of town I must say this location is nice. Very clean inside. Music is playing and not bad playlist. Food is great as always. Belly busting biscuits hit the spot. I'm impressed at this location. My server checked on me often kept my coffee topped off even gave me a taste of the special coffee of the day and it was great. Only issue the side of green to add to your meal is, think, expensive. It is green chili and more expensive than the side of bacon... Food prep is not that long so honestly you can have a few sips of coffee and then you have your meal at the table. read more

I was disappointed with my Doordash meal from Wecks that is up the street. The meal was hot yet placed in the carton very messy. McDonald's did a much better job. I needed plenty of napkins. One slice of tomato, two slices of onion, yet a heap of shredded old iceberg. Part of the bun tore apart that was on the cheese, now why did they not place the bun right on the cheese rather than the side that messed up the burger. Now I have been catered by McDonald's and they have a very clean and simple way to deliver their food, unlike Weck's. read more

Not only do they have great food, but they care about their community in the homeless. They have a great program. We were driving through states to get home and needed some solid breakfast. Saw all the good ratings and decided to give them a try, and we were tired of the big chain places. We are so glad we stopped in. We have multiple kids, with our oldest being 12. We decided for him to order off the adult menu since children's portions are usually not enough, but boy, were we wrong. We ordered pancakes and their lil burrito from the kids' menu--none of them could finish because of the amount they were given. They also received little snacks with the kids' menu and crayons to keep them occupied while their food was coming, which was still very fast. We also ordered the Big Breakfast Burrito (Spicy Carne), Carnitas Papas, and Huevos Rancheros--all of them were delicious! None of us could finish our food because of the portion sizes. I hadn't been here for a few years and it was as good as ever. We all had breakfast and everyone enjoyed what they had. Papas, omelets and basic breakfast were all good and big portions were served. The service was excellent. My only complaint was they are a bit heavy on the butter for me. I would request dry toast next time and bring the butter on the side. read more

When in New Mexico do what the New Mexicans do. We are in town for horrorcon here in Albuquerque and staying with a friend. She was kind enough to show us this nice little breakfast spot that is a locally owned restaurant. The server we had was quite nice and even with us out on the patio/covered part she didn't forget us at all. I had a Denver omelette and my wife had a short stack. Our friend had stuffed hash browns. I've been to numerous Weck's restaurants around the city, but this was my first experience at this location. I'm not a huge fan of the open space seating (toss me in a booth in the corner please) but this does not affect my review. When we walked in, we were not immediately greeted, so after a few moments we asked the hostess if we could be seated (and we were immediately). After sitting at our table for several minutes, a manager asked if we had been helped (we replied that we hadn't) and a waitress immediately came by and took our order. There were some lengthy waits between cups of coffee and even getting our food, but eventually all was taken care of. My dish was pretty good (stuffed hash browns) and I have no complaints other than it could have been a little warmer - was this possibly a disconnect from the kitchen to the table? Also, the coffee was a bit weak, I went home and made my own after 3 cups. In all, good food. The service left a little to be desired. We were in somewhat of a time crunch this morning and hoped to get in, eat, and get out but we were in there well over an hour. read more

I went to the Central location to grab breakfast. I'm wishing I had gone elsewhere. The service was extremely slow it took a long time for a server to come to the table. The manager even came by to check if someone had come over. Only saw the server when she took my order brought the the food. She never came back. If that was the only issue would been fair. Weck's is... not my favorite place for breakfast but it will do in a pinch! It's clearly a favorite among the people evidenced by the fact that every single location is always busy. I do, however, love their flavored coffee! They are a breakfast and lunch place only. The bowl of papas is a favorite with the meat, chile, eggs, and hashbrowns as well as the breakfast burritos. I personally think the French Toast is okay but I prefer the smaller local places to chains like this, even though it is a local chain. The decor is themed as Hollywood at each location, which is pretty fun! They do have all the breakfast favorites as well as good sandwiches and salads with plenty of options to get your chile fix. They are, however, more expensive than their competitors, though I don't understand why. read more

Coffee tasted burnt like coffee beans over roasted. Did not receive fruit with my oatmeal order. Side of milk spilled inside bag. This was a delivery order. Temperature was correct so not an Uber Eats problem. For the quantity received and being charged 10.99 for a meager bowl of oatmeal and 3.99 for burnt coffee, I'm not recommending this place. Btw, they are still using polystyrene (styrofoam) containers. Hot foods and liquids can leach styrene, a possible carcinogen. read more

I visited Albuquerque with an ex-pat last week who told me that this is her go-to breakfast place. She wasn't wrong. While she prefers the Sloppy Papas with red chili, I opted for these items the two times we went. The portions are huge, the hash browns crispy, and the chili is on the hot-ish side but not too bad. While the flavor and servings are great, I was disappointed with the scrambled eggs, which were rubbery. On the Benedict, I ordered the eggs medium poached and they were perfect. I'll definitely eat here again next time I'm in town and order the famous Papas. read more
