Every time I come to town to visit my sister, we must go to Wecks for breakfast. It's an institution. Great service and great food. My sister's favorite is their Eggs Benedict with extra Bearniase sauce. I love their pancakes and their waffles. The coffee is great. It's a must go when you're in Albuquerque. read more

Not only do they have great food, but they care about their community in the homeless. They have a great program. The the owner has implemented of helping the homeless problem by giving him a free breakfast burrito and coffee or a drink. I just like to thank them manager at wax on Central. I had breakfast with my daughter and grandbabies it was good the service was great food hot didn't take long. My server was Elli she was very nice she made sure we had refills when needed checked on us. The environment was good everyone was friendly. We were driving through states to get home and needed some solid breakfast. Saw all the good ratings and decided to give them a try, and we were tired of the big chain places. We are so glad we stopped in. We have multiple kids, with our oldest being 12. We decided for him to order off the adult menu since children's portions are usually not enough, but boy, were we wrong. We ordered pancakes and their lil burrito from the kids' menu--none of them could finish because of the amount they were given. They also received little snacks with the kids' menu and crayons to keep them occupied while their food was coming, which was still very fast. We also ordered the Big Breakfast Burrito (Spicy Carne), Carnitas Papas, and Huevos Rancheros--all of them were delicious! None of us could finish our food because of the portion sizes. The waitress was so friendly and a joy to have in our experience, too. Bathrooms were clean as well. We will definitely stop by again if we travel through again!! read more

very unprofessional atmosphere the manager Luis and Marcus do not know how to treat their employees. my brother worked here and they treated him so badly even made him look bad in front of the entire company. I hope they realize that these types of managers are the reason why there's such a bad rep when it comes to the people in charge. I hope one day things are different for this place cause it's such a shame that they allow this type of behavior. read more

I hadn't been here for a few years and it was as good as ever. We all had breakfast and everyone enjoyed what they had. Papas, omelets and basic breakfast were all good and big portions were served. The service was excellent. My only complaint was they are a bit heavy on the butter for me. I would request dry toast next time and bring the butter on the side. read more

When in New Mexico do what the New Mexicans do. We are in town for horrorcon here in Albuquerque and staying with a friend. She was kind enough to show us this nice little breakfast spot that is a locally owned restaurant. The server we had was quite nice and even with us out on the patio/covered part she didn't forget us at all. I had a Denver omelette and my wife had a short stack. Our friend had stuffed hash browns. All of our food was cooked nicely and as to order with no complaints at all. I did try their red sauce. It was pretty good but very spicy for this gringo. read more

I've been to numerous Weck's restaurants around the city, but this was my first experience at this location. I'm not a huge fan of the open space seating (toss me in a booth in the corner please) but this does not affect my review. When we walked in, we were not immediately greeted, so after a few moments we asked the hostess if we could be seated (and we were immediately). After sitting at our table for several minutes, a manager asked if we had been helped (we replied that we hadn't) and a waitress immediately came by and took our order. There were some lengthy waits between cups of coffee and even getting our food, but eventually all was taken care of. My dish was pretty good (stuffed hash browns) and I have no complaints other than it could have been a little warmer - was this possibly a disconnect from the kitchen to the table? Also, the coffee was a bit weak, I went home and made my own after 3 cups. In all, good food. The service left a little to be desired. We were in somewhat of a time crunch this morning and hoped to get in, eat, and get out but we were in there well over an hour. read more

I'm glad we went because it was recommended as a local institution, but it was really only middling. Don't get me wrong: I would take it any day over a Denny's or an IHOP, but it's probably not a place where I'd say, "Oh, I'm craving X, let's go to Weck's!" The hash browns weren't really crispy nor was the waffle, but they weren't *bad*. They weren't soggy or burnt or anything. The sausage was good. The servers weren't slow, the order wasn't wrong, and the place was clean. It's a fine choice if you want some diner food. read more

I went to the Central location to grab breakfast. I'm wishing I had gone elsewhere. The service was extremely slow it took a long time for a server to come to the table. The manager even came by to check if someone had come over. Only saw the server when she took my order brought the the food. She never came back. If that was the only issue would been fair. The food took a long time to come and when it arrived it was cold nothing was warm. At that point I ate some left the rest. This was not a good experience in anyway. read more

The food here is always excellent. But today I was noticing how well this house runs. It was a Sunday, early spring, so busy, full house. We had to wait but a very short wait. Tables were turning over fast. Food came out fast. Service was excellent. And it was clear that the whole house was running superbly. I honestly cannot imagine what kind of management must go into creating a place that runs this well. So I told the manager so when he came by. Beautiful. Sincerely. read more

Weck's is... not my favorite place for breakfast but it will do in a pinch! It's clearly a favorite among the people evidenced by the fact that every single location is always busy. I do, however, love their flavored coffee! They are a breakfast and lunch place only. The bowl of papas is a favorite with the meat, chile, eggs, and hashbrowns as well as the breakfast burritos. I personally think the French Toast is okay but I prefer the smaller local places to chains like this, even though it is a local chain. The decor is themed as Hollywood at each location, which is pretty fun! They do have all the breakfast favorites as well as good sandwiches and salads with plenty of options to get your chile fix. They are, however, more expensive than their competitors, though I don't understand why. read more

Coffee tasted burnt like coffee beans over roasted. Did not receive fruit with my oatmeal order. Side of milk spilled inside bag. This was a delivery order. Temperature was correct so not an Uber Eats problem. For the quantity received and being charged 10.99 for a meager bowl of oatmeal and 3.99 for burnt coffee, I'm not recommending this place. Btw, they are still using polystyrene (styrofoam) containers. Hot foods and liquids can leach styrene, a possible carcinogen. read more

I visited Albuquerque with an ex-pat last week who told me that this is her go-to breakfast place. She wasn't wrong. While she prefers the Sloppy Papas with red chili, I opted for these items the two times we went. The portions are huge, the hash browns crispy, and the chili is on the hot-ish side but not too bad. While the flavor and servings are great, I was disappointed with the scrambled eggs, which were rubbery. On the Benedict, I ordered the eggs medium poached and they were perfect. I'll definitely eat here again next time I'm in town and order the famous Papas. read more

There are no fountain drinks only cans/bottles. All that said, like I said, the meats were delicious. The potato salad with dill was delicious. I remember when the young lady that used to work there was at the counter. 6-8 people in line, greeted with a smile and Hi! Welcome in! There was a longer wait, but it was ok, because the service was good, and so was the food. Today? I'll never return. I spent over $15.00 including a credit card surcharge (a business owner that wants to take credit cards but can't be bothered to be a business owner and pay their bills.) I left a $5 cash tip - I figured I'd the business owner can't pay the 3% on a bad merchant account, they most likely aren't paying the staff livable wages... I sat down and put my gear down, and waited... for about 15 minutes, before this garbage salad that was falsely advertised as having toppings and 3 sliced chick'n strips. The entire salad didn't fill the bowl.? On the bottom were less than a teaspoon of diced tomatoes. In the entire salad there was ONE "fried onion." As I was gearing up to get on my motorcycle out comes our antagonist. Not to be polite or anything. To smoke or vape. I didn't stick around to smell which one she was doing in the doorway. I accidentally posted this review to the uptown location. I've never been, and will never be, to that location. This review was the knob hill location.

Honestly I ended up switching plates with my hubs because his food was way better. The place is small and cute and you do have to order your food at the counter and then they bring it out to your table. The bathroom is super tiny but clean. Prices are a little bit higher than I expected for the amount of food we received. Overall a nice find

Cost of game play is affordable at $4 per hour and they have promos on certain days that allow you to play with other board game enthusiasts at a set price. Rory has a great business here - truly the best I've been to in the US. Noteworthy: their bathrooms are so clean and always smell nice! Also for the dude who complained about parking: don't be lazy. Walk a short distance from the neighborhood and park for free. It's literally a block. Even on a weekend night I've never had to walk farther than 3 blocks.

There were a few tables playing when I stopped on a sunny Saturday afternoon. I didn't eat this visit but I expect I'll be back at some point. I've heard they have community events but I saw no evidence of that in my visit.
