This place is a hidden gem. Lobster for $22.00 cooked perfect. Wine for $30 a bottle. OMG I wish this place was near Chicago. My best lobster place ever!!!!

Our first indoor dining experience since the pandemic was at Anna's. We felt very comfortable and the food and service was top notch. A quaint water side retreat not to be passed by!

This is another one of those places we have been going to for years and are finally getting around to writing about it. It is not a secret but it is a gem of a location. Off the beaten track in the odd village tract known as Sebasco Estates (part of Phippsburg but their own zip and P.O.) is this rustic summer restaurant/pound with tables by the water of a wonderful cove with kayak put in and a sordid and sad Maine history. The story of Malaga Island is on the wall of the restaurant and worth learning about. They have the usual lobster/seafood fare and I have never had a bad meal or bad service. The only downside is that the lobsters are one size fits all (a small 1 1/4# usually); however, the meal includes sides and bread. There are usually good brews available and there is a sometimes open wharf building with junk for sale. Anna's is definitely worth the trip. And while it can be a bit hard to park, I have never seen it as packed as 5 Islands. It has a somewhat more serene setting and a sunset, too!

What a great find! The staff was so friendly and it was the best lobster roll I've had no mayo just pure lobster meat! Great price and the view was incredible! They had a cute thrift shop just below the restaurant with amazing deals! Really great find!

From the second we walked in this felt like a one of a kind experience. The table was set beautifully, Virginia and her team were so welcoming, and she is so incredibly knowledgeable. After the oyster tasting we enjoyed a lobster roll and then hopped on Captain Joe's boat for a tour of an oyster farm and a ride around this beautiful midcoast area. Timing of the tides worked out so that we got to see a bunch of seals. Captain Joe also helped us shuck some oysters while we enjoyed delicious rum punch cocktails he whipped up on the boat. We ended the tour with a beautiful sunset before heading back to the dock. Since moving to Maine seven years ago, it seems like during summertime, all the classic destinations have become so overrun with tourists and certain activities and places that are my go-tos have lost a bit of their charm. I think that's what I loved so much about Lady Oyster. Located in a tiny little peninsula village called West Point, it is off the beaten path, and almost feels like stepping back in time. I would 10/10 recommend Lady Oyster to anyone looking for a true hidden Maine gem. I hope to come back this winter for one of her dinners!

The clam chowder was buttery and full of meat and potatoes, but could have used a bit of corn starch to thicken it up. The bacon wrapped scallops were good but could have used a maple glaze or thicker bacon to enhance the flavor of the bacon. The mozzarella sticks were gooey and full of cheese but needed a bit more seasoning in the breading. Overall, the food was tasty and not overpriced. This is a great place for a family lunch outing on a nice day. Service: The cashier was nice and helpful. Ambience: The restaurant has a small gift shop inside that has a bunch of cute gift options. There are multiple small picnic bench areas under an awnings and with a view of the water. This is a great spot and I look forward to trying out more of their menu.

So our dinner stop before heading to Boothbay was Five Islands Lobster. We arrived around 4pm, just before a dinner rush. Parking is tight, but you make do. I was able to find a spot to accommodate my care and the small packing trailer on the hitch. Once we were parked we made our way to the buildings. The one building you order your lobster, another building you order other items. It was a very easy and simple process. Between all of us there was so much lobster and other fine dining options. The lobster was fresh and sweet. It was very delicious. The lobster came with corn and potatoes. The butter was perfect! It had that foaming too I love! My husband enjoyed his fried haddock sandwich and the fried scallops. He raved about the fried scallops. The staff were great. They were kind, helpful and hard working. The view was stunning. I saw a loon and was able to adventure on the rocks during low tide. Overall this was a beautiful spot to start our Maine vacation. I highly recommend checking out Five Islands Lobster

We ordered 2 2lb lobsters, onion rings, and fried oysters. The lobster meat came right out of the shell (shout out to some man on the dock who helped us Marylanders with some verbal direction) and were full and flavorful! We are big crab eaters but it takes about 6 or more XL crabs to feel as full as we did with one lobster! The onion rings and oysters were perfectly fried and just as delicious. The oysters came with fries (which explains the ketchup) as well and all were large portions. It was the perfect location too! Not noisy, beautiful scenery, and just all around a great atmosphere.
