If you are comparing Fractured Prune with the national chains, that's a mistake. Fractured Prune is more like a specialty donut shop as opposed to a Dunkin or KK. They make the donuts as soon as you order, so they are nice and hot. There are about 15 different topping selections. I had the cookies & creme (A+) and bacon (A). They are priced a bit more than DD and KK but since donuts should be once-in-a-while thing, I'm okay with paying more for a better product. I haven't been on a weekend morning but have driven by and seems their parking can be tricky during high volume times. read more

I think Fractured Prune is great because of the reasons other people see as negative. I love the smaller doughnuts; there are plenty of calories to be had so being smaller than the average doughnut is doing me a favor. I don't mind the higher prices because these are obviously higher quality; serving me the cheapest ingredients possible is not what I want. Waiting for them to cook is awesome; I prefer my fried food to not have been sitting under a heat lamp for the better part of a day. However, in the summer, they might want to consider having some Grab-n-Go boxes of popular flavors like the OC Sand because vacationers here for "the lifestyle" can get very antsy when service isn't NYC fast :) read more

These donuts are delicious!! They are cake donuts that are served warm and you get to choose your topping. They literally melt in your mouth. A bit pricey at almost $6 for 1 donut and a small coffee but it is Mt. Pleasant where rent isn't cheap. Definitely a treat. read more

Tried for the first time today. The parking lot is small. If the lot is 100% full you literally cannot get out in certain parking spots. It was busy since it was the opening week. Soccer moms with 5 kids each take up most of the interior space..it is loud. The donuts are ok/good but nothing out of this world. At almost $3/donut I about had a stroke. It bothered me that they don't post any prices and I fear its because they know people won't like what they charge. The donuts are small but flavorful. The staff was courteous but appeared overwhelmed. The donuts are definitely better than DD but I'll stick with KK for the price. read more

I took my nephew here for some donuts and we were not disappointed! Although the donuts are a bit small I think the experience made up for the size. He loved that he had the option to choose his own glaze and toppings. The donut was very warm and absolutely delicious! They were just ok. The cake part reminded me of bagged powdered donuts. I recently went to the new Duck Donuts in West Ashley and was blown away.
