I told her to stop applying the wax because my skin was burning and feeling broken. I've been getting waxes for 15 years now and maybe 2 years here. I've had the service enough to know that it shouldn't feel like this leaving my skin with bumps. I could tell she was in a hurry and when I paid I found out that their lunch is at 5:30 so she was just trying to make the service extremely quick to go on her break.

They use quality products and also makes sure that customer is aware and satisfied. The facial and waxing rooms are separate and private. The sheets are always clean and sometimes during my facial massage i ask for blanket over my legs and take a quick nap. I booked a hair styling service with Romi few weeks ago. From the beginning, we were clear about…read morethe pricing, and I paid the full agreed amount of $25 in advance for a french braid. At no point during our conversations did she mention that the final cost could exceed what we had agreed upon. I had also shared photos of the hairstyle I wanted from the start, so the expectations were clearly communicated. On the day of the appointment, just before her co-worker began styling my hair, I noticed her pulling the co-worker aside and quietly say something. While I don't know exactly what was said, the situation became concerning when, after the service was completed, I was informed that I needed to pay an additional $15 because my braided hair had been tied into a high ponytail. This was presented as an "extra" service. Her attitude sounded so greedy and unprofessional. What frustrated me most was that the hairstyle I requested--including the high ponytail--had been discussed from the beginning. If tying the braid into the requested style was considered an additional charge, that should have been disclosed before the appointment or at least before the service started. It should never come as a surprise after the work is already completed, when the client has little opportunity to decline. When I questioned the additional fee, she referred to her notes, which stated only "braid service - $25," and used that to justify charging me another $15. While I understand that businesses have the right to set their own pricing, I also believe they have a responsibility to communicate those charges transparently in advance. Unexpected fees after a service has been completed feel unfair and leave the customer in an uncomfortable position. Ultimately, I paid the additional amount because I felt I had no practical choice at that point. The service had already been completed, and I didn't want to create a scene before my event. However, the experience left me feeling disappointed and misled.
