They still carry the basics (and that's important), but the fresh grocery selection feels inconsistent. On the flip side, there's a noticeably bigger focus on frozen meals and frozen options, which is convenient... but it's not quite the same as walking in and feeling confident about the fresh picks. A bigger concern for me: a few times I visited, I noticed items that were close to--or possibly past--their prime/expiration date. That's the kind of thing that makes shoppers hesitate, especially when there are so many alternatives nearby. I genuinely think a little refresh would go a long way: - tighter inventory rotation - clearer quality checks - small clean-up / organization upgrades This is still a local business, and I'd like to see them bounce back. I walked in and they told me that only 1 of my meds were ready. I was so annoyed. Took it and walked out. Out of curiosity, I opened the bag just to find out they only refilled 5 out of the 60 that I was supposed to get. I went back in to complain and The lady told me that that's all they have. I told them that they had a whole week to refill my meds for me. I've never had this issue when I was picking up my meds from Walmart, because they would refill my meds for me within 1- 2 days. Unfortunately since I changed health insurance, Now I'm stuck with this bullshit. This isn't the first time this has happened either. And looking around, I'm not the only one that has to deal with this bs. I would have given them no star if given the option. I have been using this pharmacy for a long time with few issues. However, I'm old and wanted to get the new COVID vaccine recently. I got an appointment, showed up, and they refused the vaccine because I'm on Medicare. I called the pharmacist after and talked to her about it, and she started that they couldn't give me the vaccine because of my Medicare supplement. I pointed out that vaccines are part of normal Medicare and do not require a supplement, so it doesn't matter what supplement I have. She suggested I go to CVS, so I went to the one in Willow Glen and had a very nice experience. Now, I'm not even sure it's legal for them to refuse a vaccine for someone on "regular" Medicare (not "Medicare advantage," which I might understand), or if they have gotten into some anti-vax "MAHA" kick. But I want to warn my fellow older neighbors that this Walgreens seems to not be friendly to Medicare patients any more. Really a shame and very disappointing, but, outside of warning you, I don't know what can be done about this except take the little side trip to CVS.

I also believe cooking/salad oils in bulk, but have to say I didn't pay a ton of attention to that. Yesterday I tried the bulk Restorative Conditioner made by Griffin Remedy My hair LOVED it! Also purchased a tinted plastic free sunblock stick by Attitude which is relatively hard to find in stores in the U.S. (It's made in Canada). Will definitely keep coming back.

I received a notification that my dad's prescriptions were ready for pickup, so I went to the pharmacy expecting a quick transaction. Instead, I was told I had to wait for the pharmacist to release the medications because there had been a change. When I asked what the change was, no one could explain it, and I couldn't find anything different on the prescription label. To make matters worse, I had to wait over 15 minutes for the pharmacist to return and approve the release. I didn't have extra time to sit and wait because I needed to get my dad to a scheduled appointment. If the medication isn't actually available for pickup, then why does the website and notification system say it's ready? Unfortunately, this isn't the first issue we've had at this location. My dad receives a monthly injection, and during our last refill they gave us the runaround for three days, claiming they couldn't reach his doctor for approval on needles. The problem was that there was already a valid refill on file the entire time. It took them three days to figure that out. People don't have time to make multiple trips and deal with repeated pharmacy issues just to get medications they depend on. Because of the ongoing problems, poor communication, and wasted time, I will be transferring my dad's prescriptions to another pharmacy. Of you need your medicine in a timely manner skip this location and go elsewhere.

Imagine the silly faces we all made when we realized the 3 Diet Dr. Peppers rang up as 3 for $13.99, when the price was advertised in the aisle as 3 for $10.99, but the in-store display advertised 3 for $9.99, and the app advertised them as 3 for $8.99, but we ended up paying 3 for $7.50. This new math is crazy! The fun began when the cashier and manager engaged in a whimsical back and forth regarding the in-store display, which they claimed was only for regular fat Dr. Pepper and not the diet version. The face I made should be a new emoji! Imagine if Huh and WTF had a baby and that baby did a face-off surgery with the confused John Travolta meme. Then, I looked online to see if we could figure out if it's 9.99 or 10.99, but the website said 8.99. The manager laughed warmly with a great smile, and by laughing warmly with a great smile, I mean that she decided to help other customers for 14 minutes.
