The prices are great compare to other places but the quality is not. I got a pedicure and a manicure. The lady that did my pedicure did a horrible job. It was rushed and sloppy (even though they did not have any one waiting). If it was due to her alone I would of given this place a 1 Star. My manicure was done my a male and he did a good job. Only reason I am giving additional stars. Also there is no sanitation like other places that put a plastic cover on the bowl that the pedicure is done. And sanitize the tools after each use. You can see the dust on the counters. Probably why they are cheaper in pricing than most. read more

Also don't insist on your client when they don't want gel. I said I was giving my nail some break from gel and guy who did my nail keep saying 'but it will chip' for regular manicure. One of my nail had way too much policy and created bubble. My guy was no where to be found and someone else told me I was done. I show the lady my finger she said oh I will tell him. First Visit I arrived on a sleepy Wednesday afternoon, there were three employees there. Sort of a small hidden spot, behind Nothing Bundt Cakes. Very plainly decorated and no frills, nothing special. I counted 6 nail stations and 4 spa pedicure chairs. Male tech Tom gives a great foot massage & is very meticulous in his cleaning/prepping before pedicure. Hot towel service after the citrus scrub with spa pedicure. If I were rating him alone, I'd give him a 4 star for his meticulousness. -------------------------------- Second Visit in October 2015 Since I had a good pedicure the first time I came here, I decided "What the hell, let's try their shellac services." I believe my tech's name was Mary. Everything went terribly wrong. First of all, she nicked me and didn't even notice until I mentioned it. She then put some clear stuff on it, I assume to stop the bleeding. That's cool and all, except the fact that once I went under the UV lights, it basically "baked" the clear stuff onto my bloody skin. It wouldn't come off until weeks later. Seriously, all bad. Oh, and then her lamp light started flickering, so she attempted to unscrew the bulb (while it was still on), and it burst and shattered into pieces onto the table, and barely missed me. Like, really? Wow. I should have taken that as an omen and high-tailed out of there, but I didn't. She apologized profusely of course, and since it hadn't injured me, I figured, no harm no foul, right? As for the actual shellac manicure, she basically rushed through the entire process (not sure why as she had no one waiting for her, nor were there any other clients in line). She quickly painted my nails and had me bake under the UV light for 30 seconds and then she applied the second coat of shellac. Baked for another 30 seconds and then she promptly applied the clear polish coat, baked again, and then applied the last coat of clear polish. She went about everything SO QUICKLY, I didn't even get to take a look at my nails until the 2nd coat of clear was applied. Right away, I noticed that the application of the shellac polish was very uneven and not fully coated. I mentioned to her that she didn't apply a thick enough coat and she said she applied two coats, and I was thinking "okay maybe you can try to evenly apply the coats next time then". What really irked me was that this was right before a trip to Asia and I'd be stuck with it for 2 weeks! So frustrating. This is my go to place for nails. They close at 7, but if you set an appointment after hours they are willing to wait for you (I appreciate that because by the time I leave work and head over with traffic sometimes I cannot make it). I always get gels and I like this place because they have the matching non-gel color and I use that for my toes because I do not like gels on my toes (big hassle you know say no more). I got a dark burgundy color called Marilyn Merlot. I have no complaints, however If you plan on getting a light color such as nudes or white make sure to let them know you do NOT want it to look streaky and if it does they will mix colors to avoid the streaks. I love the pedicure because they always message my feet well and I enjoy the hot towel and scrub :) I recommend this place if you want great service for great price. The service is fine, they are pushy about getting more stuff added on, like adding a flower or getting a Mani and a pedi instead of just a pedi. I think that's pretty standard for most nail places, though. They give a nice scrub, massage and hot towel treatment for pedicures, which is really nice. Not sure how this place currently has 4 stars. Only came here because it was the closest to the library where my son was at at the moment. The only nice thing I found about this place was the staff was very friendly. Other than that, I was not a fan of the environment - a little messy, pedi chairs looked outdated, and storage looked like it needs a makeover. Their sink is a plastic stand alone that looks into their messy eating area. I'd use a curtain or something to cover that up. I also raised eyebrows with their manicure supplies stored in upcycled grey poupon jars and altoid tins. I will gladly pay a little extra for an environment that at least displays some pride. As for the service I got - gel mani removal - I did not like how she removed it. I had to soak my fingers in a tiny bowl of acetone and she used that rotating drill thing to take off the gel. I'm used to putting cotton ball pieces on each finger and wrapped with foil then using the cuticle other to remove the gel. Also she didn't cut my L and R finger nails evenly. I used to go to a nail salon in Eastridge but after my manicurist left I had to find another place who can do more than a pedi. I don't have ingrown but they say it's dry skin under the nail that still cause discomfort. I have been to a variety of salons but having to find another salon to do what my other manicurist would do and after finding Anni I found a new place to go. Everyone there is very nice. I also see Tom who is the only male there and he does awesome work when wanting gel. He is also pretty talented with creating designs on your nails. If you are looking for someone who knows how to do nails come here and look no further. Oh and not to mention it's right across from Starbucks and Bundt Cake. That's a big plus for me, coffee and bundt cake while getting your nails done?! What more can a girl ask for?! read more

I came on Mother's Day with my mom, both of us got mani/pedis. I always love their pedicures because they last forever. This time, I decided to do gel for my hand's. I don't know why, but two days later, two of the nails peeled off! I was so annoyed, but wasn't planning on doing anything about it because I really do love Anni's, and Anni herself is so, so sweet. I figured that next time I go, I'll stick to a regular mani/pedi. My mom, however, was not having it and called Anni to complain! Anni's has gone down hill so much in the past few years! The nail techs keep getting worse and worse and the salon is so short staffed. They will tell you to come in and then make you wait because they don't have enough people. We have made appointments and have been made to wait several times. In addition, lately it seems the people working there for the most part do not know how to do nails very well. My daughters recent visit was the last straw for us and we will not go back. We called ahead and made appointments for my teens gel manicures and pedicures. When they arrived at their scheduled time they waited 45 minutes before they were taken and then their nails took 2 hours and 30 minutes because the techs were working on multiple customers at the same time. My daughters were at the salon for 3.25 hours for a mani and pedi! When I picked them up one of my girls was crying and said the that the tech would not listen to what she wanted and told her "Oh it will look good if you do it this way" and completely disregarded how she wanted her nails done. The tech also kept starting over because she did not know what she was doing. My daughers nails looked terrible. After taking all that time and doing such a terrible job, I asked Anni to personally fix my daughter's nails. Anni asked my daughter to wait. We thought we were waiting for Anni but after waiting ANOTHER 30 minutes, Anni put my daughter with the original nail tech who did the lousy job! Anni said the tech would redo it how my daughter wanted it done. When my daughter came out to the car, she was furious and said the nail tech basically just had her to do her own nails because the tech did not know how to do it! I never write Yelp reviews but people need to know. There are too many salons out there willing to your money and do a good job. The owner Anni does a great job on nails but she does not have the management skills to run the salon efficiently and the people she has working for her are lousy at their job. I feel bad writing this review because I know Anni will lose business. However, maybe she will get her act together and hire a manager who can help get her business back on track. read more

the only reason i chose to go to this place was for their citrus scrub that is included in their pedicaure, plus its closer to my house than color nails. the lady (her name is mai) that did my pedicure was a sweetheart, but she can get a lil rough on the cuticles. other than that.. i like the job she did for me. pedicure, polish, and two flowers = $22 not bad. wish she scrubbed my feet a bit more.. i like that feeling lol read more

Got a Brazillian wax here done for about 30$, but pricing depends on how much hair you have. The waxing area seems decent, maybe a little old but it'll get the job done. The waxer was pretty nice and waxed me little by little because I was overdue on a wax, so good customer service. Would come back again when I have time. UPDATE: So I still stand by my waxing review, but I recently got a pedicure here and that knocked off 2 stars. It was getting a little busy so everything and everyone felt so rushed, they even made a girl get off her chair and then go to the manicure station because they wanted to do her mani and pedi at the same. They then got a portable pedicure bowl and did her toes at the desk, which I found very odd. Then they re-used the water for another unsuspecting customer like WTF. The pedicurist I got rushed my toes and it really hurt, she cut so deep on the side of my left toe that it was bleeding and I was in pain for 3 days if I wore closed toe shoes. I'm pretty certain they don't sanitize their pedicure bowls and nail equipment very well, so I highly recommend asking them to cover the pedi bowl with a bag and to make them wipe their tools with alcohol. I also brought my own nail things that I could, like a pumice stone, nail file, and buff. Personally in the future, I'll stick with Anni only. I got a young girl doing my toes. So TLDR: Waxing is decent. Pedicure is questionable. Haven't done manicures here to rate that. read more

WORST EXPERIENCE! I got a basic pedicure and got way overcharged. Their prices are always inconsistent. Make sure to always question the pricing before the service other wise they will charge whatever they feel like charging that day. When I questioned the owner why last time I didnt get charged this much she said the girl didnt know how much to charge..uhm so you, the owner, didn't know how much to charge because it was you who rang me up last time. She didnt mention about prices going up and when doing the math to how we got to my total she couldnt explain the extra 3 dollars she added. I walked away.This is the last time I ever come here. Visiting San Jose and this salon was the first I saw. Technicians are very nice. Coming from Boston, seems the pace is slower at this salon but thats ok to me for only a $17 pedicure. Pumice stone scrubs do not come standard and cost an extra $5. They do put an exfoliating scrub but do not massage/scrub the beads on to actually exfoliate (it was rather a slight lather). They do take some time to massage your feet and legs but there was no pressure or technique. Painting skills are mediocre. For polish, no brands I recognize like Essie or OPI. read more

The shop is clean, reasonably priced and they do a great job! My whole family went to this shop when we were living there - including my husband and two young daughters.
