I would give a negative 100 stars if I could. Worked with American Homeshield for my appliance, assigned to ANO. Their technician came out and checked my unit and said I just killed a roach in your appliance and left. Got the diagnosis report back and said not covered due to the unit not working because of pest. I called ANO multiple times to have them redo the false diagnosis and no one would call me back. I think the reason why American home shield sticks with them because it's always not covered and American home shield does not have to pay out anything. This business is the worst! read more

Working with this company has been the absolute worst experience of my life. They were assigned to me (like everyone who's written reviews here) from American Home Shield tocome and take a look at my washing machine. I filed my original claim on 3/17/23. Ano came to my house on 3/24 and worked on the washing machine for 2 hours. When they were done they told me they needed to order parts. Sounds reasonable? Ok no Problem. It took a month for me to hear back. Finally on 4/27 I got a call from Ano that said they had the part. I told my property manager to arrange the meet up so they could fix it. After all, my tenants had already been without a washing machine for over a month. Not good. During the 4/27 visit, Ano told my property manager that the the washing machine could not be repaired and that it should be replaced. Ano told her that they would file a report with AHS. I wanted for 7 days and heard nothing from AHS or Ano. I finally called AHS and they told me that they better received a report from Ano. I had to call back 4 more times over the next 5 days to get another update and that was that Ano filed a report and told AHS that they had to order parts. WTH?? Again?? We just went through this. Now we wait again... finally on 5/16 I called in for an update and AHS told me that Ano fil d a report that said that the washing machine was not repairable and that it needed to be replaced. I got this I formation from the escalation team at AHS. Representative's name was Nanette. She said that Ano didn't file that report correctly so they could not process the claim and issue a check for a replacement until ano filed the report correctly. I called in 4 more times over the next 2 weeks and always heard the same thing; they were waiting for Ano to file the report correctly. Today, May 30, I finally got an email from AHS asking me to call in for an update. I'm expecting to hear that we are finally going ti get a replacement and the agent tells me the report from Ano stated that the damage to the control board in the washing machine was caused by the elements since the washer is located in the car port. Absolutely BS. After three months of waiting, dozens of calls to AHS and to Ano with mixed messages, they finally came up with some complete nonsense of a story that because the washing machine is in the carport, the elements destroyed the motherboard and therefore it's not under warranty. American Home Shield and Ano appliance have a racket going in the state of Hawaii to make up whatever they need to to avoid paying out claims. Stay far away from both of these companies if you know it's good for you. read more

Like many other reviews posted, this company is contracted by American Home Shield. I do not have an issue of the tech not being able to speak English. Bringing along another person to translate is also not much of an issue either. The problem is that they report issues to AHS so the claims can be denied. My washer was leaking off and on so I made a claim. It took over two weeks for AHS to send out two different companies to diagnose the problem. In the meantime, my washer is still leaking. I took the front panel of the washer off to clean up the water both inside and outside. No actual washer parts were removed. Ano Appliance reported that I disassembled my washer so AHS can deny my claim. This is the same panel they would have removed to look for the leak and has no mechanical purpose related to the washer leaking. read more

Zero rating. Sent a repairman who literally spoke no English. He asked us to speak into his iPhone translator. He insisted there was nothing wrong with our Kenmore washer. Could not wait to leave. When he could not get it to spin he said Sears would call us within 48 hours. That was five days ago. We called ANO asking why Sears never called. Finally got to a human at Sear Home Warranty who said the technician determined we had "overloaded" our washer and in his opinion the warranty (supposed to cover all repairs) was therefore not covered. Somehow he suddenly was able to file a report in English. I strongly recommend never wasting $50 a month on any Sears warranty schemes and even more strongly recommend NOT using ANO for anything...ever. read more

Less than 1 star. This company came and told me they fixed my washer when the guy didn't even run any tests. Had to call back for service to tell them still wasn't fixed, technician showed up after appointment window, I had to call to check on technician and was informed he had an emergency. Seems like he should have called me but whatever, I'm pretty patient. He came, diagnosed it as a broken motherboard and part needed to be ordered, then these people dropped my service, and told me after I called to check on my part a few times and told me they were transferring to LG and that I would have to pay for another servicer to come. I went through AHS and Ano appliance never notified them that my washer wasn't fixed. I got stuck with a broken washer and nobody working on fixing it because AHS was waiting for them to cancel my service or update them on that status. I have been without a washer for over a month, and these people are horrible and just want to take whatever payment they get through AHS. Horrible horrible service... read more

I felt obligated to leave a thoughtful review for Ano Appliance since I had major reservations when my home warranty (American Home Shield) assigned them to repair my microwave after reading the existing Yelp! reviews. I actually called AHS to request an alternative appliance repair company, but they reassured me that Ano Appliance would do the job. I submitted the claim on a Friday and was informed that they would be coming the following Monday afternoon to diagnose and repair. Sure enough, Dmitri from Ano Appliance came as scheduled on Monday afternoon, diagnosed AND repaired the issue. He was prompt, considerate, and efficient. Referred by AHS for a refrigerator repair. At first I was worried because the technician did not speak English. However, he spent nearly four hours fixing the compressor and my fridge was working again. The second visit was to repair another part of the fridge. This time he brought his wife who was a translator. Both are friendly, despite the cultural difference. Took his time to repair the problem and checked it several times before he left. Don't let the language barrier fool you. The technician knows what he's doing. I do admit it is difficult to get a hold of the customer service representative. It didn't look good when the service tech guys come in their personal car. No uniforms, did not introduce themselves to me and...both spoke Russian the entire time. They even asked me for a vacuum, towel and bucket before they started. Shouldn't they have these with them?! So one of them, the head guy says to me, we came to service your fridge. I said no, its service the washer and dryer!! What is going on here?! He calls his office and says, we can only service one so he decided on the washer since its older and the dryer is fairly new. So I gotta make another appt for the dryer i guess. They ran the washer couple times, checked the connections and hoses. Opened the bottom and cleaned the filter. Opened the top hood and both having conversations in Russian so I have no idea what they saying. I watched carefully to see if they would do anything to damage or cause future problems. The service order was written up and had me sign. The guys left immediately and did not give me a copy. There better no be any charges since this is preventive maintenance only. I used to get outstanding service from the Sears Blue Team and A-1 company who Sears used to outsource their business. Now Sears decides to outsource to this company who I find skeptical and dishonest. I plan to look for other home warranty companies, preferably dealing with local people soon. read more

First of all contacting these guys and getting someone to answer is hard. You need an extension to get through to someone and they don't provide that on their website(current number on the website is dead) and calling the number that they list as a service provider for big retailers keeps asking for an extension or leave a voicemail. Totally gave up since this will be a ping pong game of missed calls. They weren't bad several years ago but I guess the company has change of ownership over the years which means bad service and technicians. Phone number on their website isn't working and phone number given by the big retailers as a warranty service provider is different than listed. Technicians are quite nice but I'm quite sure they are "trained" to write a completely false diagnostics report which thus leaving you to contact the big retailers service team to schedule another appointment with another service provider to come out and make the same diagnostics before actually getting a repair or solution. Since they are paid to dispatch technicians out per call, they do the bare minimum to collect that payment. One thing to note is that you will get a notification that the appointment/repair was completed even if the appointment didn't happen yet or nothing was done to resolve the issue. Overall waste of time, as the big retailer service team to give you another service provider like A&E (previous experiences with A&E were great, just don't know why the retailers like to keep sending Ano clowns). Steer clear cause I have spent several days chasing down for an answer, finally got the big retailer service team to start searching for other service providers to solve my issues. read more

After reading the reviews on here I was afraid of my appointment with ANO. I cannot believe how true every single one of these reviews are. I too had to use them through AHS and experienced a piece of what everyone else posted on here. The only good thing is that i put in 3 requests for their visit so I at least got one thing fixed. They also said my circuit board was infested with roaches so that it was not covered by warranty. It's crazy how everybody's appliances are all just infested with roaches. They did nothing with my washing machine leak and marked it as repaired. The only thing they fixed at least was the buttons on my microwave. I'm glad i had 2 technicians come. At least one was English speaking. The other was not. All in all it seemed to me they just wanted to rush out of there. I can't believe AHS hasn't noticed the pattern with this company. It's very disappointing after I had a plumber fix my shower and sink through AHS and he was awesome. This company has terrible, terrible service. This company was assigned to us by American Home Shield. The appt was first scheduled for January 27, 2024. Then ANO called to reschedule because the repair person had a medical emergency. They rescheduled for February 5, 2024. That's a long time to wait for a broken washing machine for a household of 7. So I contacted American Home Shield and requested to be assigned to another service provider. I guess AHS contacted ANO because ANO called me and scheduled for January 29. Alex the technician said that a new part was needed and it would take one to two weeks to arrive. On February 9, 2024, I called ANO to follow up on the part. The woman said that one part came in and she would need to look into the 2nd part. Today, Feb.14, I left a voice mail with ANO. Then I contacted the chat line at AHS, asking them to follow up. I am so upset & frustrated with this so-called company. As with many others who have left 1 star reviews I was appointed to them through American home shield to fix my Samsung refrigerator because it was sporadically defrosting on its own for 6-10 hours (a little background the fridge is 12 yrs old) They came in late June (refrigerator was back to normal, hence I said sporadically) and said nothing is wrong. Defrosting happened again about 2 weeks later and I called AHS to have them come back but ended up cancelling because it went back to normal. Defrosted a few more times after that and decided to make them come out again a second time. This time he says, still nothing wrong but I'll just order a new board and put it in and to wait a couple weeks for the part to come in. Never heard back since mid July and it is August already. I get emailed by AHS today to contact them concerning this matter just to find out that ANO said that we deliberately damaged the board (total lie) so AHS denied the claim. I was livid. I was yelling at the AHS rep (I apologized and told her I was just upset with the situation). So, thankfully they are sending another company. I pray they are honest & reliable. B E W A RE !!!! Ano appliance was a referral from Lowe's warranty program. They came out and looked at our washer and was advised the springs needed to be replaced due to wear and tear and that he would place an order and to follow up with Lowe's to make an appointment for repair. I called Lowe's and was advised to call Ano appliance back and find out when they will receive the part and make an appointment with them. I called Ano appliance and advised what Lowe's advised me to do. He started to say that he had access to their portal and it shows that Lowe's denied the order. Stating that Lowe's has a disclaimer stating that parts and service is denied when appliance's are outdoors. If it were in a garage with a garage door then it would be covered. He encouraged me to call Lowe's and ask them for the warranty contract and to point out that information. Called Lowe's, they said that the part had been approved for $125 dollars and was no such thing as service being denied for location of appliance being outdoors. I have left several messages for Ano appliance with no call back. This guy has an accent. Came to the home and did not park in our driveway. No idea what kind of vehicle he arrived in. Their company telephone message is generic and does not even state the company name. Scam, scam, scam!!! They have been reported to BBB and Lowe's. Shame on them ! KARMA. Don't be fooled by the one star, this is a zero-star review. This company was sent out by American Home Shield (AHS) to repair our icemaker which was freezing up and not dispensing ice and the ice tray was cracking. They have now been out three times, and there are more problems than when they first came out. The first team consisted of a repair tech and a translator. The technician sealed around the icemaker and said that would fix the icing up issue. He also said he would order a new tray. When he came back a couple weeks later the "new" tray actually was used, already cracked and dirty. He also tried to clean the seal in the door and wound up breaking the tabs that held in. Instead of ordering a new part he simply tried to glue the seal retainer to the door and left it that way saying it was fixed. We immediatly noticed the seal appeared to be installed backwards and when we tried to inspect it we noticed it was loose and the dispenser full of pieces of sealant. We tried to catch them before they left but they had already left so we called AHS to report these issues. They contacted Ano and another visit was scheduled but they agreed to send a different technician. A few days later the new technicians came out and spent a lot of time working on the icemaker and assured us that the original issue would be addressed (it wasn't). Additionally, they did not address the broken seal retainer that the previous Ano technician broke and they said they would not fix anything that AHS wouldn't pay for. I thought that was an odd statement considering everything I asked to be repaired was covered by my warranty other than the items they broke. After talking to them for about 30 minutes about the fact the items still broken had been broken by them, we realized we would need to work it through AHS. We immediately called AHS after they left and explained that the repairs had actually made the situation worse. AHS said they would reach out to Ano to address the situation. We just reached out to AHS and were told that Ano reported to them that they fixed the issue and that we keep breaking it. I hope this review will save someone the headache that we have had dealing with this company. Avoid them at all costs. read more

Guy with a heavy Russian accent arrives and takes a look at my washer. He tells me $180 to repair it out of my own pocket because it's not from normal wear and tear usage. I say ok, fine, charge me. He says I have to make an appointment for it because he didn't have the parts at that time. Fine. I call the office to schedule the next appointment and she tells me "we are short staffed, we can't send anyone out to your place to fix your washer" ??? Like Ever? 3, 4, 5 weeks later, nothing? DO NOT USE THIS REPAIR COMPANY! Our Maytag dryer is covered by Lowe's Protection Plan extended warranty. Ano was assigned to check our drying problem on 8/22/22. They (2 repairmen) came at 5:30pm (well after 1pm to 4pm designated time), which was forgivable due to traffic (so they say). The issue is that it was determined that the sensors needed to be replaced (dryer keeps running even after clothes are dry; safety concern). Repairman said give them two weeks for claim to process. If no word, I should call Lowe's Protection Plan. I called them this morning (9/6/22) and they said Ano reported repair was completed. LPP said to call Ano to question them. Well, the other issue is that their phone number is no longer in service. I even called the repairman's cell phone and got no response from my voicemail message. I then had to call LPP again to tell them what happened and had to make another repair appointment with another company. What a waste of time spent on 8/22/22, today and upcoming appointment! If LPP (or any other extended warranty) designates Ano Appliance Repair to come to your house, immediately ask for another company. read more

I agree with all the other folks who would give zero stars. My Samsung fridge icemaker does not make ice, something inside it broke. I found a piece of the mechanism in the ice bin. The two "technicians" that showed up at my house did not introduce themselves and also spoke Russian to each other the entire call. They removed it, took some pictures, replaced it and then proceeded to pull out the fridge. No reason to do that. My repair got denied because their report said the icemaker was damaged by force and the compressor grill needed to be cleaned. I got Assurant Warranty to schedule another visit from a "senior technician". That person never showed and then Ano closed that ticket as well. I still have a broken icemaker and had to remove it myself to send Assurant photos. No idea if I will get a repair. read more

Can I give 0 stars? They don't even deserve a 1 star. We had purchased a 5 year protection plan through Lowes for our Samsung washer. I called Lowes to schedule a repair appointment because our washer was reading an error code anytime we had to wash laundry. They scheduled us with Ano Appliance. I am a huge believer in Yelp and obviously didn't have time to look at their reviews and I wish I did before agreeing to scheduling an appointment with them. They are HORRIBLE. They don't follow up with a confirmation call for the appointment. And if they do it's the day of. The number listed on their Yelp is no good and gives a busy tone. Their number that Lowes gives you is good, but If someone else is also talking or calling them it gives a busy signal and they don't answer your calls or voicemails. The scheduled time that Lowes said they'd be here was 8am -12pm, they call and say that they're coming from 1pm-5pm. Then 5 pm rolls around the corner no call or anything, 530 pm we get a call saying they'll be there at 6... just like another review on here, they tell us we have to buy the part on Amazon. Then leave with no future instructions. But according to the Lowes protection plan all parts and labor charges are covered... so I call back Lowes today(the next day) and they tell me that ANO Appliance closed the case. HORRIBLE. That was literally a waste of time! For everyone out there, please please take my advice and everyone else's advice on here and DO NOT EVER USE THEM. They are a scam. It pretty much felt like they wanted us to buy the part and pay for the labor out of pocket. They are a horrible representation of Lowes and their protection plan. Don't do it! I'd give 0 stars if I could. Ano Appliance was sent to me by Sears Home Warranty (Cinch) to repair my leaking Sam Sung refrigerator/freezer. I live on the third floor of a condo building and leaking water is a MAJOR liability. The technician showed up and I looked to see what truck he was driving but he told me he parked on the street and not in the visitor parking as directed so I couldn't tell if it was a company truck or not. Weird. He was friendly and cordial but appeared insincere and condescending, and in a rush (my take). One of the first things he said was he was in a hurry as he had six more customers to see that day. He repeated this probably four times while he was here. Totally unprofessional. I told him that that was too bad but that he was here to repair MY refrigerator. He removed the back panel on the inside of the freezer, asked ME for a hair dryer and towels and proceeded to melt some of the ice off the condenser coils. He informed me that the drain pipe that goes into the evap pan was plugged. He then told me that to fix the problem I needed to unplug my fridge/freezer for 48 hours to defrost and plug it back in after 48 hours. I'd never heard of this resolution and I was taken aback and worried about all the food staying good in coolers. I said, "you've got to be sh###ing me" but he assured me that everyone with this problem has to go thru this and all would be good after 48 hours. NOT. I put ALL of my food in coolers (with ice (: ), turned off the fridge for 48 hours, plugged it back in and the next morning it was leaking again. Needless to say I lost all my food and spent a small fortune on ice and coolers but I knew they didn't cover lost perishables. Nothing lasts in a cooler for 48 hours. I asked when he would be back to follow up and what I should do if it continued to leak. Obviously he closed my ticket and he told me to page him and he would come after hours but I needed to tip him $35!!!!! it wasn't covered by my warranty so he would have to do it on the side. I was livid! He continued to tell me how busy he was and had six more customers! He was in and out of my place in about a half an hour or so. Customer Service is non-existent. I called ANO so many times, only to get an answering machine. I requested return calls and to speak to a manger...no response whatsoever. I finally got thru. The girl told me they couldn't come back because they couldn't get authorization from Sears to complete the job. I again asked to speak to a manager/supervisor but to no avail. Wondering who will be liable when water leaks into the unit below.....not me. I called Sears Home Warranty and after explaining the situation they assigned me a different vendor. I wished I read the reviews here before accepting them to do my repair through AHS! My washer, dryer and freezer ice maker needed repair. The tech looked at my washer and said the reason for the leak is bec it's dirty. He said the dryer and freezer doors need to be replaced and will make request through AHS. Later come to find out from AHS that they denied replacement of dryer and freezer door bec tech noted it's NOT wear and tear. He noted I burned my freezer that's why it's damaged?!!! I was so upset knowing this bec it's a lie! Also, I did clean my washer and it's still leaking. My dryer and freezer won't be covered bec not wear n tear?! Did he think I intentionally burned my freezer door to break it?!! Unheard of!! I called ANO appliance and they refused to do anything. Disappointed on their assessment and poor service! Zero stars if possible. DO NOT USE THEM. It seems like some sort of insurance scheme. Report to BBB. Like many here, we have a policy with American Home Shield and Ano Appliance was referred to us when our refrigerator stopped cooling. The technician went in and reported pest damage i.e. roaches, in the control board, and so American Home Shield would not cover repair. I agreed to have Ano purchase parts and then repair. And I waited. Nothing happened, and so I called. I was first told that someone would send me an estimate. And so I waited. Nothing. I called, and the person who answered wasn't really able to communicate in English and just told me "pest damage". I explained that I was waiting for an estimate for work and labor. She was confused, and said it couldn't be, they only work with insurance. Got to question this statement. What kind of companies only work with insurance??? Anyway, I called Steve Morris at Morris Appliance Services, made an appointment, and he fixed it on the spot! Easy! And he reported that there weren't any roach nests in the control board! The problem was with the inverter board, something that the Ano Appliance technician couldn't figure out!! Recommendation: Stay away from Ano Appliance. Deserves ZERO stars. I never post reviews, but this place is so bad that the effort is worth it. Same experience as other posters through Lowes extended warranty. Samsung refrigerator broke on April 30th and after repeated calls to Lowes, they assign the repair to these bozos. Repair guy finally shows up May 9th an hour later than scheduled, pokes around, tells me he has to order 2 parts. He has me sign the paperwork before it was completely filled out "so I can get out of your way faster"! Stupid on my part, I know. Anyway, then nothing. After repeatedly calling Lowes, they tell me the ticket has been closed. These people are running a scam. I have escalated complaint through Lowes so hopefully no one else has to deal with this crap. read more

I would give Ano Appl a zero if I could , Tech guy came diagnosed the problem, said he would have to submit repair to AHS ( my warranty company) to see if they would authorize the repair. I signed the work order and he was going to leave, I had to ask for a copy, he gave it to me with the remark: "oh you want a copy?". ???? after two weeks of no response, I called them. They told me that AHS would not authorize the repair (which is it true according to AHS) I asked why didn't they notify me that the repair wouldn't be done - she just said "oh, sorry. I told them that AHS usually sends me notification about the status of the repair and I had gotten nothing! After several attempts to call - several busy signals and request to talk to the manager that was "never in" to call me - no returned calls from Amos I called AHS and found out that NO request for parts or diagnosis had been sent to them. AHS requested Ano 3 times for a report to be sent to them! Finally when they did send something it was an incomplete diagnosis. Ano finally admitted to AHS that THEY denied the service. (they didn't want or didn't know how to replace the parts my SubZero needed!!!???). why didn't they call me or atleast notify AHS that they had NO intention of doing the repair! so here 4 weeks, several phone calls and ar least two hours on the phone later I am back to square one and my refrigerator parts aren't even ordered and NO technition assigned to it.
