I went to Another Broken Egg Cafe with a friend on Sunday morning for breakfast. Despite how busy it was, we were seated immediately. I ordered the chicken and waffles, while my friend ordered the shrimp and grits. Overall, I didn't think my dish was anything special. The chicken was somewhat dry and didn't have a lot of flavor. The chipotle honey syrup was good, and the waffle was decent. I was super disappointed by the chicken. I got the cold brew to drink, but was super disappointed by this as well because it tasted like 80% milk and ice, and 20% coffee. My friend enjoyed her dish and said it was overall. I wasn't super impressed with our waitress. It took about 10 minutes for her to come to our table and get our order. It took a while for her to come back around and get us our checks as well. (I'll go easy on this bit though, because it was a busy Sunday morning) The booth we were sitting in wasn't clean. I had food on my seat and had to clean it off myself before sitting down. Had the worst service I've ever had in my life here Saturday afternoon. It wasn't even busy and our waitress managed to mess up every aspect of our experience. She had to reprint our bill THREE times because she couldn't get it right. We were charged for an appetizer we NEVER GOT. We ordered coffees and she gave us spiked coffees with alcohol. We did not order them with alcohol. It was absolutely ridiculous. And when we complained to what seemed like a manager, she did not take accountability or right the situation at all. Seating was faster than estimated wait time...however, waiting at the table being passed up for service while other tables were sat and served right away was pretty maddening. My my, let me tell you about the best breakfast I've had in a long time. This was my very first time dining here but it most certainly won't be my last! This location is right in the heart of vinings, parking is a little tight in front of the restaurant but plenty of parking around. I went on Saturday around 12pm, there was about a 30 minute wait for my party of two. Inside is nice, typical breakfast setting, but very clean and nice. Patio sitting is also available. The menu ranges from waffles to egg skillets. Honestly everything sounded so good, it was so difficult to choose. I went with the Hawaiian French toast combo with eggs and bacon. When I tell u this is probably the best French toast I've had! Cooked perfectly on both sides, sweet and the maple syrup brought everything together. It was perfection on a late. The bacon that this place served is thick cut and is amazing as well. He had the Lucy omelette, highly recommended by our server, also a very good choice. Finally I've found my breakfast/brunch go-to! Looking forward to coming back. read more

The cinnamon roll French toast was really good, and I had never had something like it. But I do have to admit- it was way toooo sweet to eat it all alone. This place is amazing ! The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied and the food is delicious !! Had the beignets to start... messy but well worth the mess ! I can't even begin to describe how good they tasted. I had shrimp and grits as my entree. A bowl full of spicy goodness ! Definitely makes my Top 5 list for "Places with GREAT Shrimp and Grits" !! I enjoyed it thoroughly, had some left... warmed it up at home and enjoyed it again. They did however mess up my bf's order, as there are two items on the menu that are very similar... bf ate it anyhow but they offered to remake it and take it off the ticket which I thought was really nice. I don't remember exactly what he had but it was a chicken biscuit and he enjoyed it as well. I don't understand how they have a 4.0 rating, the food was so mediocre. I order the shrimp and grits with a side of eggs. The shrimp were about the size of a penny, grits were watery and garnished with some of the driest green onions I've ever seen. My boyfriend order the supreme omelette, and wasn't nothing supreme about it. The seats were awkwardly placed, being that it's such small dining. We have been there a couple of times in the last few months and would probably go more often if not for that fact that no one wants to seat people and that's probably because no one wants to bus the tables. Most recently we stopped in on Wednesday 10-12-22 a little after noon. There were people in the restaurant but there wasn't a line. We stepped up to the cashier area and as far as we could tell, every employee in the place looked at us including the bar tender but no one said a word. Dirty tables everywhere in the maybe(?) half full and while most of the staff seemed to be doing something, a few were just standing around occasionally glancing our way but making no move in our direction. No "Welcome", No "Someone will be with you in a minute". A woman entered a minute or so after us and after seeing that no one was going to address any of the new customers asked the bar tender something but came back dejected and waited behind us. A minute or so more and a party of three entered behind us. Finally, one of the wait staff apparently loss a rock-paper-scissors contest and had to greet us. We asked to sit outside and she said she'd check to see if there were any tables available. A few minutes later still no table and a busser appeared, seemed finally ready to address the multitude of used, dirty tables in the restaurant but he was intercepted by a waiter and told to greet the ever growing number of people waiting in the front. He asked us if we needed help and we told him a person had stopped by and said they were going to check outside but it had been a while so we didn't know what the deal was. So he decided to go check, returning to tell us she had begun clearing a table for us. (Had begun? What was she doing the rest of the time?) A minute or so later we were finally seated. Passing several dirty tables along the way even outside. Our server arrived(a different one) and took our order, brought coffee but we had to ask for silverware because...sure. She brought some and several of the pieces wrapped in a napkin were obviously dirty. Not a hidden spot in-between the fork tines, a large smudge of something on the back of the spoon and something else on the flat of the fork. I asked for cleaner ware and the server actually suggested we use the plastic ware for to-go orders. She would know better than we, so we of course agreed. Perhaps we should have left but it had already been a long morning and the desire to not deal with a hassle won out over doing so. Plus, the food is usually good. And it was FWIW. Whatever malaise/indifference has taken over the front of house hasn't effected the kitchen. Shrimp and grits were good and the burger was as well. We finished, paid, and on the way out couldn't help but notice that even more of the restaurant was populated by dirty tables. The difference this time though was that the busser and another gentleman were in the cashier area just chatting away. They polity said goodbye to us and continued ignoring the countless tables unsuitable for new customers. So yeah, we'd like to eat there more often but it sure would be nice if it seemed like anyone gave a crap about the place. read more

My family had breakfast here twice in a row during our trip to Atlanta. We love trying new places, but this spot was so good that we had to come back! The kids meals were a steal and my usually picky eating daughter loved the chocolate chip pancakes. I had the eggs Benedict and biscuits and gravy. Both were huge plates that were delicious and satisfying. Adding a picture of my wife's waffles since it seemed like such a nice plate! The coffee was bitter and weak, this establishment does not offer flavored creams for this atrocity they call coffee. The grits were luke warm and needed salt. Like they tasted like they were cooked in water that wasn't salted first which would explain the gummy texture of the grits. The food wasn't the best. Maybe we came on an off day but it just wasn't good and I could've made better at home. The sides are ridiculously small and I do not recommend the hash browns, dreadful little knobs of dried up flavorless potatoes that had to be drowned in ketchup for it to be edible! Price point: 3 stars: I thought the prices were decent compared to the competitors in the area. Overall: I don't know if I would come back, when we were leaving it was many patrons but we barely saw any wait staff. We weren't thanked for coming or asked to come again which was weird. We've been to much busier breakfast joints were the employees went out of their way to thank us and hoped we came again. It wasnt all that to me, I may try them in the future and this time around if it isn't good I will complain to the high heavens! I was torn between giving them a 2 or 3. Since my rating is a 2.5 but they leaned more towards a 2. I don't know man, with FIRST WATCH not to far away I would probably go there before I came back here. One of my first brunch trips post pandemic did not disappoint at all. Another Broken Egg has done nothing but improve since my last visit two years ago, the increased staff and outdoor seating has allowed for the establishment to serve more people and expand tremendously. Parking is still as accessible as ever. Their wait time for regular parties was an hour to an hour and a half but I went with no reservation in the middle of prime brunch time. Luckily I was able to snag a seat at the bar. The staff was as friendly as ever and made the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Special shout out to my bartender, Amber. She showed great poise during an extremely busy time at the bar but never made me feel under served. I had the chirozzo omelette and it was fantastic. Overall another great experience! read more

This was my first time at ABE cafe and it was amazing! I ordered the Southwest omelette and city grits and andouille sausage - and I loved every bite! We also tried the Beignets!!! they were perfect with the marmalade and cooked just right. I wanted to order so much off the menu - but I knew my eyes were bigger than my stomach so I kept it together and stuck with the omelette Our Server, Inglish, was warm and informative, she checked on our coffee levels consistently and we didn't have to wait long for any of our requests. Another Broken Egg was one of our favorite brunch spots. We have been going there since they opened. However, they have declined in quality and customer service dramatically over the last year. I ordered a Mardi Gras omelette(which used to be my favorite dish) yesterday and for the THIRD time, my omelet was extremely overcooked and burned. What makes this so insulting is that I called before they prepared it, the hostess spoke directly with the kitchen manager(I heard her speak with him). She told him about my previous issues and he agreed to make my omelet as I requested. Unfortunately, they still burned my omelet to the point where the eggs were tough and shrimp were hard. I understand that I ordered from Uber Eats but Uber Eats didn't prepare my omelet, the kitchen did. We hate to stop visiting one of favorite restaurants but it is probably time to move on. read more
