I've tried Another Broken Egg a few times now and I'm pretty certain that ABE is a solid 3 Star. The wait staff was exceedingly helpful and sweet and I couldn't have asked for better service but the food! I had the the Crab cake Benedict and it was just not good, it wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The crab cake was mushy, a bit fishy and overall nothing special. The poached eggs were ok on average as one was almost perfect and the other was basically raw. The Benedict was topped by a nice hollandaise but the English muffin base tasted oddly sweet and overall the dish was barely warm. The other issue was the iced cold brew which was very weak and even after I requested just plain cold brew to top off as mine was way too sweet and weak the plain cold brew was a milky tea looking mixture. The plating was good everything looked nice it just didn't live up to that in the flavor department. read more

I wish I could give this location more stars! To clarify this if only for their Citiplace location. I can't understand why but it has fallen short of impressive time and again. I gave them one final try today since it was directly on my route but with the time it took to order and get my meal I could've traveled to their Perkins location! The hostess was pleasant and sat us quickly but then it was close to 10 minutes before our waitress arrived. She did come with waters in hand, but then it was another large chunk of time before the coffee came. I ordered a standard kids meal and a "healthy option" with a few adjustments (no chilles or cheese, light oil please). The wait was painfully long. With a 18 month old every minute counts When the food finally arrived both orders were missing the English muffins, the bacon with the kids meal was soggy and the omelet was missing the avocado it was supposed to have but was swimming in oil. The eggs were literally dripping with oil. I would have informed our our waitress but she never came back to our table until she brought the ticket. At which time I asked for that missing avocado. She did eventually bring the avocado , with the reason "there was none prepped", however it was already browned. So not sure about that excuse. It's a great location but they've consistently disappointed with service and taste. read more

Awesome spot in Citi place. Very Friendly Staff and very well laid out space. Menu is extensive with a wide variety of dishes. Get there early as they fill up fast or wait till after the rush.. I find if you go around 1pm or so you can get a seat easily. Egg Benedict Oscar is a favorite of Mine. With flat iron steak and crab meat. Grilled asparagus is also a greet compliments to this dish. It is like Steak and Eggs on steroids! The crispy potatoes on the side were also EGG-cellent (see what I did there? lol) Huevos rancheros is also and all star dish. I recommend adding the chorizo. Pricing may be a tad igher than your average breakfast but this place is far from your average breakfast spot! and as we all know, you get what you pay for!! Our Waiter Cornelius was AMAZING! If you go ask for him because he definitely knows what he is talking about when it comes to food and makes sure that you have the BEST experience! I have been here many times and this is by far the best experience I've ever had and he got me hooked on the pepper sauce for the first time....didn't know that even existed here lol. It reminds me of a higher grade Waffle House. Service is friendly. Definitely family friendly. Very big menu, not overwhelming though. The food I got looked and smelled so great, better than it tasted. Oh well the parfait was great for sure. I got the mardi gras omelette. It definitely wouldn't be my to go to breakfast place. Arrive close to 11am on a Saturday (4/22). The line was about 20 minutes, which was expected. Place was full and some groups had clearly been there awhile, drinking and carrying on rather loudly. However, I can't blame the restaurant for that. The menu options are endless, but perhaps that's the chain-restaurant side of it. We ordered a half order of biscuit beignets to start. They were excellent. I ordered the berry pancakes with bacon and eggs, and my fiancé got a biscuit with sausage gravy, potatoes, and two sausage patties. It's not that none of the food was good, in fact the bacon and sausage were great! My pancakes tasted bland, as if from a Cracker Barrel mix. The eggs were runny, not a big deal, but everything else was lukewarm and just average. I expected more from a place I had heard so much about and left slightly disappointed. read more

I came in and was greeted immediately, I was joined by 5 other people and they made a table for us since they don't have big tables. I have never written a bad review in my life. I am compelled to leave one for this location. The manager there is terrible. My family went there to celebrate my son's 18th birthday. My wife ordered the lobster benedict. The food was served quickly. The food was not as advertised. The "lobster" was not lobster but langostino or Crawfish. My wife did not like the sauce and asked the waitress if she could swap it out for something else. The manager there said she could swap it out for the same item with a different sauce. After 30 minutes of waiting and after everyone finished the meal we were brought a to go box. The sauce was in a cup and the "lobster" was scraped off the old meal in a cup covered in the old sauce. The poached egg was barely the size of a half dollar and did not cover 1/3 the english muffin. My wife asked to speak with the manager. The manager was unapologetic. She doubled down on what was served. Nothing was offered. I have been to hundreds of restaurants and never have I been treated worse. AVOID THIS PLACE. Another Borken Egg Cafe is an average chain breakfast place. A little above iHOP and Denny's. This location was across the street from our hotel and they have excellent service!! We had Maddie as out server and she was amazing. She spotted that we were not from Louisiana pretty quickly and when she confirmed it she sent out an order of beignets on the house!! This would have been awesome for me if I hadn't been in the middle of a Whole30. My husband said they were amazing and he really liked the honey/citrus dip that they came with.
