This morning was the first time I have eaten at this cafe and I had a lovely time. We were seated immediately and our waitress was not only attentive, but truly delightful. Don't bother coming here. The rude front desk and management are definitely not worth the wait. Especially when you call ahead to get put on the wait list but a party of SEVEN (that stated they did not call ahead) gets seated right away, ahead of you. Service shouldn't be based on looking a certain way or the color of your skin. We also noticed that two separate parties who called ahead got to sit down immediately when they came in after us, but we had to wait... This is absurd because the manager herself sat all of these people immediately when we had been waiting over 30 min for a table for two. We also could see open tables but were still standing in the lobby. This is the third bad experience we have had here and I finally am writing about it because I wanted to give them another chance. Everyone has bad days but I'm completely over this location. After we stood in the lobby for 30 min staring at the open high-top the hostess eventually sat us at, nobody was sitting at it the entire time. Extremely disappointing service compared to when we came here in 2014. I used to sing the praises of this restaurant and the awesome servers. I never write bad reviews but this time pushed me over the edge and I am a patient person. They have good enough food but not for the poor treatment of repeat customers. The management is doing their serving staff a disservice because the bartender is amazing and friendly. Bottom line. Go somewhere else, another location may be a better option. read more

I am giving the second star for the location and ambience. Slow service, not much options for vegetarians. I ordered a veggie burger which was the worst I've had ever. The patty was very dry to chew and tasteless, felt like par boiled black beans forced down the throat! The bread was bad quality too, almost rubbery. The avocado on top also had a slight black mark(maybe too old). The potato fries weren't served hot either(soggy) It didn't come with any dressing nor had the option of cheese. I've dined at several Another Broken Egg locations before, with all positive experiences, but this was my first and last time coming to the Dunwoody location. The restaurant was crowded, so we understood we may have to wait a while for our food. We immediately ordered a pitcher of mimosas and an order of beignets. 45 minutes later, our mimosas came out. Our server asked if we wanted to go ahead and order our meals, which we did, but we also asked about the status of our beignets. She said they were coming soon. A few minutes later, our meals came out, but still no beignets. There were several mistakes with our meals. I received bacon instead of the sausage I ordered, and the waitress said she would be right back with my sausage. My friend ordered eggs over medium and received eggs well done and scrambled eggs. The waitress never returned to fix these issues. When she came back to clear our plates and asked if we were ready for the check, we reminded her of the mistakes on the table and the beignets. She offered to go and get them, but honestly the meal was over and we had asked for these things before and never received them, so we probably wouldn't have gotten them anyway. We tracked down a manager ourselves to discuss these issues along with some mistakes on the bill (charging us for extra eggs and for a more expensive mimosa we didn't order), and the manager did fix one of the mimosa pitchers (not the other) and took off the extra eggs. She gave us free beignet coupons for the next visit, but honestly we will never use them. I decided to write this review even after speaking to a manager because if I were considering coming to this restaurant, I would want to know what I was getting into. No one really seemed to care about our experience. If our server had been overly apologetic and tried to rectify the situation while it was happening, we wouldn't have said anything. I wanted to like this place. It felt like the low key, homey vibe I like for my breakfast spots BUT the service was just so lacking. It's not to say our server was rude but she was never to be found. It took over 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee and every refill was a struggle. I don't know if it was because we were in the corner or what but we felt very forgotten, while the table next to us got everything faster and was visited many more times and by the manager (maybe because they complained). Anyways, the food itself was pretty good. The Mardi Gras omelette, the bacon cream cheese omelette, and the broken egg biscuit were all decent. Unfortunately, one dish came out a little cold and they skimped on the potatoes. I think overall the experience would have been 3 stars but after all that ... our bill came out wrong. There were 5 main dishes for a table of 3 and the waitress didn't notice or apologize at first.
