Twenty minutes later someone walks in and asks about an order to go and he was told to pick it up at the at the bar. Really?! So, why was I told differently and wasted my time? My wife and I visited Another Broken Egg Cafe in Dunwoody during a recent vacation to Atlanta. We had visited their location in Destin a couple of years ago and loved the food there. We could tell no difference in the food at the new location. I had the Lakeshore Scramble ($10.69...Scrambled eggs, baked bacon, onions, mushrooms & ham with cheddar-jack cheese) and it was absolutely perfect right down to the tasty jellies and preserves provided to spread on the English Muffins. The coffee was delicious although my wife wished they had different flavored creamers than plain half and half. She had the Fontainbleu omelette ($9.99...Ham, green bell peppers & onions with cheddar-jack cheese) and enjoyed every delicious bite. Our server (Sandra) was terrific and had a great personality. We even opted to buy a souvenir coffee cup at the end of our visit. Although the prices may seem a little high for breakfast fare, it is well worth the money spent! I visited my first Another Broken Egg location over the weekend, on a personal trip to Atlanta. We were referred by a waiter at another restaurant, as he spoke of one of the best breakfast spots in the area. We were greeted by Megan (I hope that's her name) and she was very pleasant and engaging while we waited. I asked her a few times about various food options and how large portion sizes were and she was eager to not only point out great items on the regular menu, but also whipped out the summer menu which had more choices (making it super hard to decide). The wait time was quoted for 30-45 minutes, but it only took probably 20 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was Tisa, she was phenomenal ! She was attentive, very friendly and answered all of our questions about the menu (and we had a lot). She checked on us often and really made us feel at home. The food was good, it was hot and it did not take a long time to be delivered to our table. All and all my entire first visit to this location (and introduction to the chain) has been very good. I would definitely visit again when I am in the area. This was my first time trying food from ABE. Upon arrival the staff was courteous and attentive. I placed a to go order of smoked salmon with poached eggs. I waited over 20 minutes for my food, the staff kept saying your food is coming , 3 people came after me received their orders and left. My order finally came out, the eggs, and the bagel were room temp as if the food had been sitting. The potatoes were hot, however; they were undercooked. Have you ever eaten an undercooked potato - NOT pleasant. I could not go back because I needed to get to work. I did however call and leave a message for management to call me back. As of today I have not received a reply. My bagel and eggs cost me approximately $17.00, far too expensive for my meal to have not been absolutely delish! I just picked up a to-go order breakfast-- biscuits and gravy. I received a big beautiful biscuit and a scant two tablespoons of gravy. I actually got more ketchup than gravy. What!!! This is not another good broken egg. From the start it was becoming a bad experience. Was informed it was a 45 minute wait. It was 15 min. Quote accurately would be nice. We were happy though until Pam turns tv on behind while we were eating. ( no one was watching nor cared if this unite was on. We requested that the tv be turned off. A disagreement ensued. After a few moments went by Pam comes out and informs me that the tv has to be turned on. Definitely a place we've frequented in the past as we love the bartender. Won't be back after this morning. Went in to see said favorite. Ordered a mimosa. A co-worker called me and asked if I could order breakfast for her to go and I told her I would. While drinking my mimosa, the other nice lady came to take the Togo order ((I was going to eat there after my mimosa)). While mid sentence ordering, the host comes over and tells me I can't sit there. Really? I've ordered a drink and I planned on eating AS WELL as the to go order. What kind of restaurant does this?? This is probably the worst brunch restaurant in the surrounding area. Ive tried to give this place a chance since there are a lack of options in the area but everything is slow. Once again we are not disappointed, we first visited The ABEC in panama city , florida and fell in love with it, after we came back we never thought of looking for one here in Ga but after a bad experience at another place, we found it as a suggestion while looking for another place, we were received at the host stand with a bright smile and everyone was very pleasant. After waiting for about 20 minutes (even thought we were quoted higher) we got seated on Ashlee section, she was tripled sat with us so we understood it was probably gonna take a second, that is when Norman came up to us and got our drink order(great team!) Ashlee came by and introduce herself to us and took our order with a very big smile! She was a complete delight throughout our entire experience , so much that we made a reservation on the spot for our next time and asked to be seated specifically with her!!. Now the food, were to begin... it was PHENOMENAL!!!!! Compliments to the chef, i got the Lobster and brie omelette and my partner got the bacquzo (not sure of the spelling) as you can see the looked amazing but tasted a lot better!!! My favorite brunch spot in Atlanta. Whether after a long night shift at work or brunch with friends, I can always count on Another Broken Egg to satisfy my hunger and place me in a better mood. The mimosas are amazing. A pitcher for 4 people will definitely provide atleast 2-3 drinks per person for roughly $23.99. I love the Omelettes and pancakes. Decided to grab breakfast this morning and after looking on Yelp I decided to try this place out. Although our service was a bit slow, the food was amazing. I ordered the Crescent Scramble (eggs, bacon, ham, onions, mushrooms and cheese). I also had one buttermilk pancake. Not worth the 50 minute wait. My boyfriend and I came here today and ordered the bananas foster waffle to share. He then ordered the classic bacon burger with potatoes and I got the shrimp and grits. When our food was brought to the table I was disappointed with how small the shrimp were but nonetheless it was tasty just needed to be seasoned a bit more. My boyfriend's burger was dry and or overcooked. However, the waffle was delicious! This place is worth the wait! My husband and I drive 45 mins to eat breakfast here. The huevos rancheros is our favorite so far and it's hard to find in Atlanta. But everything we've had is delicious! I recommend the biscuit beignets as an app if you have more than two in your party. There are a lot of them, but they are yummy and the dipping sauce is excellent. The coffee is great too.
