Kathy was our server today and she is always ever so courteous. I love her energy. The hostess complimented me, so a great start to the morning. The Hey Lucy omelet is so good! The chorizo makes it especially good, and adding a bit of Tabasco is . The ambiance of the restaurant is always clean, although the seats are a little worn. I've come here so many times and always have rave reviews.

Great brunch spot! The staff was welcoming from the moment we arrived. I also loved that there were plenty of seating options since it's a spacious space. The food was just as good as the service.

Had some errands to run in the area and decided to treat myself to some breakfast. After being promptly seated, I was greeted so very enthusiastically by Kaiden, who had fantastic recommendations! I decided on her favorite seasonal entree--the French Toast Colada. It was so good! I also ordered scrambled eggs and the house made sausage patties, which were both delicious. I was super impressed by the flavor profile of the patties and will definitely order them again! And maybe I'm getting old, but I really appreciated the music being played at a volume that was loud enough to hum along to, but not too loud that I couldn't eavesdrop on other diners' conversations around me... :)

Popped in to this cafe for breakfast before getting on the road. We loved it! Both my sons said they'd be frequent visitors if this was in our area. Our server, Suki was a lot of fun and very attentive during the meal. I had the shrimp Benny. Oh my! It was wonderful! It's a very light but filling dish which is great for driving. We tried the beignets. They were warm and delicious. I loved the honey marmalade. Everyone enjoyed their meals. The soups got rave reviews. My daughter had the chicken tortilla soup and my son had the Louisiana gumbo. Portion sizes were perfect.

The 30 minute wait was a bit long, but it was a Sunday afternoon. We went browsing in the shopping center nearby while waiting for our text to let us know our table was ready. My chicken and waffles were good, particularly the mouth-watering waffles!!! Chicken was good but Man, look! My daughter said her Cookie Dough Waffle was "mid" but she is a tween who is fairly hard to please and she ate a considerable amount of it. LOL The waitress was nice. The place was packed. Best brunch I've had in Cary/Morrisville (not that I've tried that many places since I'm technically a newbie here but this was really good!). Next visit I'm going for Strawberry Pound Cake Waffles or Shrimp and Grits! Those Bourbon Street pancakes sound pretty yummy too with bananas, pecans, and rum butter drizzle!

Came here on a Saturday morning for brunch with friends and we were seated right away. The service was just ok. Our waitress was inattentive, and after taking our orders I didn't not see her again until she brought the checks. Although the restaurant wasn't completely full, most of the tables were occupied and it was pretty loud inside. I ordered the traditional day starter with poached eggs, chicken sausage, and potatoes. The eggs were nicely cooked and the potatoes were well seasoned. No complaints about the meal itself, but I do think the service and prices could be improved. My friends were shocked that the plain, black coffee they ordered was $4 for a single cup, which I agree is quite pricey.

Stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quickly, which is always a bonus on a busy weekend. Service was friendly and efficient without feeling rushed. Great spot if you're looking for a tasty meal and quick service--I'll definitely be back!"

The restaurant was great and the service was great. The waitress apologized up front because they were short staffed in the kitchen. We had a party of four. My omelette was not good AT ALL. The others ordered the apple fritter pancakes, apricot pancakes, and French toast and they were all delicious. I can't say don't order it because it might be a one off. Just know I was terribly disappointed.

For our last breakfast in NC my daughter and I wanted to go big or go home, so we stopped in at Another Broken Egg and all I can say is...YUM! We arrived mid-morning on a Saturday, expecting a long wait. Luckily we got there just in time, as we were seated immediately. By the time we left, though, there was a big crowd lining up for their brunch. We started off with coffee and then ordered our breakfasts. I ordered shrimp 'n grits and my daughter ordered crabcake benedict. We also ordered a side of their biscuit beignets. The food was all phenomenal. The shrimp 'n grits was perfectly seasoned, and included not only plenty of shrimp but lots of big hunks of andouille sausage too. The grits were gooey, ooey, and cheesy. I've had grits back home in the PNW before and I just have to say, they aren't anything like the ones I enjoyed here. My daughter also enjoyed her benedict, though was not a big fan of her side of grits (I suppose this is mostly because of her sheltered PNW upbringing)! We loved the biscuit beignets, which were served with a side of tasty homemade-tasting marmalade. Initially our beignet order was forgotten, but as soon as our server realized this she quickly brought out a steaming hot order for us to enjoy. Speaking of our server, in general the service here was phenomenal! Not only was our server friendly and attentive, but the manager stopped by a couple of times to check on us. That's always something I appreciate and I liked that he took the time to truly care for how our experience was going. This would be a 5-star experience for me except I felt their prices were pretty high. Especially for mimosas and bloody marys - I would have loved to enjoy one, but they were almost the same price as my entree! However, I will definitely come back here if I'm ever in the area again.

Stopped for a quick bite for breakfast the other day. Ate at the bar. My waitress was super friendly and very attentive. The music playing was from the 80's which I loved. It wasn't super busy which was nice. I had the chilaquiles with the fried potatoes and the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes. The chilaquiles was so full of flavor. Definitely Recommend. The pancakes were lightly sweet and refreshing with the hint of lemon. Give em a shot next time you're feeling like a delicious breakfast!

I'm surprised this place has only 3.5 star rating. I wasn't sure to expect mostly because I am not an egg person and I went there wanting a traditional breakfast, but it was their coffee choices that lured me in. When I arrived I see on the door they were short staffed and wait time could be longer. I went in anyway because wait time didn't matter to me. When I got inside I was told it would be a long wait but I could sit at the bar to order if I wanted. I went to the bar. The bartender was attentive and promptly took care of me by handing me a menu and asked if I wanted coffee. I requested a glass of water and looked at the menu. I ordered the traditional breakfast with a cafe amore. The coffee was excellent. You can't go wrong with bourbon in my book. And, for a traditional breakfast I was pleasantly surprised it was not greasy!! I was able to butter my own English muffins and the potatoes were exceptionally good. That is coming from someone who would toss their potatoes in the garbage at any meal as a kid if I thought I could. The bartender checked on me a few times but otherwise let me eat and read in peace. He got tipped big for that reason! All in all is go back. I'm not a huge meal eater but I ate all but half of the scrambled eggs which is saying a lot, this place needs more than 3.5 stars. I hope others will give it a try and do better.

Ask the Community - Another Broken Egg Cafe

Do they offer bottomless mimosa deals at all?

No. They offer different features for the season but definitely not bottomless mimosas.

Do they have a private room where we could host a baby shower?

They have an offset area they could possibly reserve. Not a separate room, but it could work.

So we pulled off, took out the trusty Yelp app, and this place popped up. Pulling it, it was clear that they were popular and busy. We went in and there was a wait, about 15 minutes. We decided to hang around instead of worrying about "making good time" and are glad we did. Once we got a seat, we received great service. Our server always kept our drink full, and checked on us just enough. We never felt like we were searching for her. Looking at the menu, I was surprised to see that the prices were not unreasonable, even though it's a very trendy place. in fact, they had a $10ish lunch menu available with a few selections that even included a drink. I was more in a lunch mood so I went that direction, and got a buffalo chicken sandwich with fries. Food came out hot and in a reasonable time even with a full restaurant, so this is a well oiled machine. For the price, I was pretty impressed. I would say the sandwich was about the size of your average CFA chicken sandwich, but had a bold buffalo flavor that I liked a lot. They didn't skimp on the fries, and the ranch complemented it perfectly. We finished up and our server was on top of things getting us the check, so really we still made "good time" on our drive to the coast. I would recommend Brunches to travelers and locals alike!

We got there around noon, and it was popping. I mean, it's a Wednesday and very busy, but no wait. We each got the chicken and waffles. My daughter had asked if they would give her regular butter, since she's not a fan of strawberries.............but she enjoyed the strawberry butter very much. I'm sure we could have split it, but nope, we each got it. Half a chicken, cut into the individual pieces, and that huge, fluffy, flavorful waffle with that nice scoop of strawberry butter. We brought our limited leftovers home, yes, we mostly ate our food. For a place with a pretty extensive, but not huge, menu, it is good. The chicken and waffles though are awesome. Then, I moved inside to see what the delay was, and the host tried to seat me at the counter. Really? I'd been waiting 30 minutes, and you won't seat me at the empty table. So I declined and said I'd wait for my table. I never got a notice on my phone either, so what was the point of that system if you need to be inside the small waiting area to be called? I could see the open table, but I was not seated for another ten minutes. They didn't want me at the big table. Then it was interesting to watch all the staff walk by and ask who had my table. How do they not know which tables each person has? Someone eventually came by, asked if I'd been helped, and took my drink and food orders, since I'd been waiting quite a while. I ordered a half-and-half tea. I'm not sure she knew what that was, as she kept saying "unsweet". The first tea was half-and-half, but the refill was unsweetened. I went with the chicken pot pie, as that is what caught my eye. I expected a delicious dish, but what I received was disappointing. The ratio of the chicken, gravy and veggies was way off. I'd say there was enough low-quality processed chicken for three to four people, a little gravy and even less veggies. I had a bowl of processed chicken cubes with a splash of sauce, not what I had in mind. I usually skip the pastry part, but I ate that as I needed something other than chicken. I left some of the chicken in the dish. The waitress didn't even offer me a to-go box. It was that bad that I wouldn't eat it anyway. My check was brought out soon after I got my food. I don't understand the rush, but bringing the check early won't get me out any faster and lowers your tip. This was just a really bad experience, and I don't see myself returning.
