I have heard so many great things about this restaurant but never had the opportunity to stop by. They finally opened one relatively near my area so I came here with my best friend to celebrate and enjoy brunch. Everything was delicious, and our waitress Sydney was so sweet and accommodating. I ordered the shrimp and grits along with a side of the blueberry lemon goat cheese pancakes. I was really surprised that I enjoyed the pancakes as much as I did, all those flavors did not sound like they would go together but somehow they certainly worked! Both pancakes came with a homemade whipped cream that was flavored to match your dish. I probably could have eaten a gallon of that whipped cream because it was amazzzzing. The shrimp and grits were flavorful and the portion was enormous, I definitely could have shared that with another person. We ordered a drink each (Abe Cyclone) along with a pitcher of the Strawberry St. Germain Mimosa, all of our drinks were so good! Stopped into "Another Broken Egg Cafe" just 3.1 short miles away from the Orlando International Airport and was pleasantly surprised! We skipped the line and sat at the bar which was completely open. Our bar tender was so friendly and helpful, making the whole experience enjoyable. I ordered a hash brown Benedict and absolutely loved it! Benedict's have always been my favorite breakfast food, but this creative combo was really tasty. The coffee was hot and came with all the yummy creamer and sweetener options. My spicy Tito's Bloody Mary paired well with the meal topped with a crispy piece of bacon - delish! I would have stayed longer, but had to leave early to catch a flight back home to San Diego. Let me start with saying I love this chain. Been to several locations and wish they would come to Detroit. This one, clean, food tasted fine, and good service really misses the mark. Strange as that may sound. I had a traditional breakfast which again, was fine, but had no visual appeal like normal. My wife ordered blueberry pancakes, Blueberry Pancakes with goat cheese and topped with some kind of sauce. What she got was pancakes and blueberries and goat cheese. The cheese and berries were on the plate next to the cakes. That is a new one on me. We were a little nervous coming in as we passed a Denny's, Cracker Barrel and a First Watch all with full parking lots and this place had a couple of cars and the staff was loitering by the front door. I forgot to take pictures before the meal, but we had such a good experience here. My bf and I wanted to try a new brunch place so he went on yelp and found this one. The website was organized, easy and the menu and online ordering were nice to be able to see what they had before deciding if we wanted to try it. We got on the waitlist from our phone and waited about 5 minutes when we got there, and it was super busy. Our server was great, we ordered quickly, received our food quickly and everything was delicious. Even my leftovers were good and even the box it came in was nicely designed! We have become regulars. The food and service is consistently good! We have never had a bad meal and service has always been excellent even when they are super busy! Not sure what is happening here given service has been inconsistent. Starts with check-in, where the host literally moves slower than a snail when it comes to setting tables and seating people. This particular day I counted 5 total families/people at tables, other than that, the restaurant was empty. Why are we waiting 30 minutes to sit 4 of us? I previously called to see if we could make reservations and they don't do reservations so why does it take so long To be seated? We were the ONLY ONES waiting. We request to be seated outside (there's a couple outside already) and ask to sit at the table with the umbrella. We are told that table is reserved. HOW?! By who? You don't take reservations! We sit at another outside table and by the time we left an hour and half later, no one showed up for the "reserved table". Moving on..... the food. Every one of our orders was wrong. My French toast was cold and after I told our waitress I never got my bacon (twice), I still never got it. Overall - visited twice at two locations and the food is consistently great. Came in a Sunday afternoon ... this place was packed, be ready to wait. Food - my daughter and I split the veggie delight omelet and lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes, sunny side eggs, bacon, and english muffin. We loved our food, the omelet was fluffy and the pancakes. Both had just enough goat cheese to be creamy and not overwhelming. My son ordered the chicken and waffles, he loved it. First time here. We had brunch here as soon as we landed to Florida. The location is really close to the airport. We arrived at perfect time as we got seated right away. The foods are good just a little pricey for the serving size that we get. There were 10 of us plus a high chair so they had to put 2 tables together to seat us. But they put us all the way at the back close to the kitchen where servers go in and out of the door. We had to place the high chair on specific way in order for it not to be blocking the access to the kitchen. When we looked around there were area where they could have seated us. Location, location, location. My husband and I have eaten at Another Broken Egg Café other cities and have enjoyed ourselves immensely, however this particular location on Semoran BLVD in Orlando Florida failed us not once but twice. Because we love the restaurant chain we decided to give this location a second chance due to it being closest to our home. We met with a group of friends but on the second visit we again we are disappointed. The food comes out room temperature nothing is hot. We explained this to the server and she then took our meals back to have them re-made. Eggs Benedict came back toasted on the top! His meals were placed under a heating lamp or broiler and then brought back to us. My Fingerprint was still in the crabcake. The "head of the kitchen" came out to meet with us...At first he was very defensive and told us that he "has NOT had any complaints all day." He clearly did not wanted to take control or accountability. After having a conversation that lasted much longer than it should he re-cooked our meal to go. Poor poorly ran kitchen management. I would definitely recommend this chain just not this location. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe is a fantastic breakfast and brunch location, minutes away from the Orlando International Airport. The Cafe offers a wide selection of southern style American food, including traditional favorites such as pancakes, french toast, scramblers, and more. They also offer wonderful Louisiana-style beignets with a sweet honey marmalade sauce. Coffee and mimosas are also available here, and both options are refreshing and delicious. My boyfriend and I came to the location recently as had a wonderful experience. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast of the southwest scrambler and chicken & waffles, accompanied by a spiked cold brew and mimosa. It was fantastic quality, tasted great, and was worth the price. Major props to our server Mario. He had an amazing amount of personality and ever-present energy, and was easily one of the best servers I've had in a while. Keep up the great work Mario! Some things to consider: the cafe is extremely busy on the weekends; 30-45min + waits are common. The earlier you get there the better, and make use of their wait list system here on Yelp. Food runs around $10, coffee around $3-4, and alcoholic drinks around $10. All in all, check out Broken Egg Cafe. They offer amazing quality food, great drinks, and a friendly atmosphere. Worst experience with ABE ever! I've been to ABE in Savannah and Tampa and the experience is always great we absolutely love the food. I understand most places are under staffed and the food can be delayed however the quality should remain. I had shrimp and grits which was scorched. My fiancé ordered pancakes which were burnt as well, with eggs and sausage. The server forgot the butter and syrup he asked her but she returned with only syrup. It took a while but we finally got her attention for the butter but the pancakes were cold. We requested more pancakes but they were also burnt. It was a horrible experience, I will blame it on the staffing shortage. If we return to Orlando I might would try it again only if they are not busy. read more

The food is average at best. It's WAY too loud in there, with severe echoing. It has a bar- type atmosphere. If you don't mind that - then perhaps this is the place for you. I tried Another Broken Egg for the first time today and had pretty high hopes! I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict and family members ordered Chicken and Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy, and an Omelette. We shared an order of the beignets. Overall, we were a bit disappointed. The restaurant was extremely loud, the chicken was undercooked and batter-y, the English muffins and biscuits were stale, and the gravy tasted old. The flavors of a lot of the dishes were great and the menu is unique, so I'd love to give the restaurant another chance because of great reviews. There are definitely a few more items I'd love to try. I'm keeping an open mind because I definitely think this restaurant can be really great! read more

In full disclosure I love breakfast. I could eat it all day every day. Growing up in the south I love to try "southern" breakfast spots. ABEC sounded like it would be right up my alley. Decor: I don't know how southern it is but I did enjoyed the decor. It has a soft modern touch while pulling in the industrial feel from the lighting and small touches. My husband hated the chairs that we sat on outside. They were very slippery and the curve of the back forced you to either lean forward on the table or crush your stomach.I felt like Winnie the Pooh with my stomach sticking out. I did enjoy the muted color pallet and the warmth from the dark woods. There are a few things I would tweak: placement of the bar, the color of all the metal, and the darkness of the uniforms. Overall I would give it a 7/10. Food: The food was terrible. We started with the biscuits "beignets". On behalf of the state of Louisiana, please change the name to fried biscuits.calling those things beignets is disrespectful on a new level. Beignets are supposed to be light and fluffy. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. What we ate was dense, hard, and the powdered sugar seemed to collect all the oil and melt onto the biscuit. They were a total fail. We ordered the chicken and waffles and egg scramble. Both were complete misses. I sent my chicken and waffles back. If you look in the photo you can see that my waffle was soggy, was missing the chipotle honey sauce and cold. The chicken was over cooked, dry, and cold. I honestly would have sucked it up had I not seen the table next to us get the exact same order but it looked cooked to perfection. I was told they were out of honey chipotle sauce and then I saw the gentleman next to me have it all over his waffle. The egg scramble was also over cooked. The shrimp and eggs were severely over cooked. It was the driest I've seen eggs look in a long time. Our server did take the chicken and waffles off our tab without any issue. Service: for reasons unbeknownst to me, there is always a wait to get a table and the restaurant seemed to be at max capacity. Needless to say, we didn't get much interaction with our server. He did not deliver our food or refill our drinks so I think we only saw him to take our orders, deliver drinks and hand us the check. Due to our experience with the food we didn't get to interact with him much but from what I could see the other severs seemed fairly nice and attentive. Overall I would never return to ABEC nor would I recommend it. While our experience would absolutely horrendous, I did observe other tables having issues with their orders as well. It may be that they have a few kinks to work out before they are ready for me to spend another dime at their establishment. Since there are at least 4 other places to eat breakfast on the very same street in less than a 5 minute drive I'll stick to those. read more
