I absolutely love that this place uses Yelp's online wait list. You can join the waitlist before you get to the restaurant, which is super convenient knowing you can shorten your wait! The only thing I noticed is I feel like parties were added above me while I was on the waitlist (I assume those are walk-ins, not sure how they do it though). We ended up being on the waitlist for almost 3 hours and when we arrived at the time they told us to, we waited another 1 hr 15 min in person. The staff was very friendly, although super busy, the day we arrived. Drinks. The iced coffee was very watered down. I'm not sure if it was hot coffee with ice or truely cold brew. We did love that they served the drinks in mason jar mugs. They do offer a plethora of flavored mimosas, which was fun! Food. I'd say the food is average, similar to a standard new-age chain breakfast place like Keke's or First Watch. I ordered the basic breakfast with a pancake add on. Everything was okay. Someone at my table ordered the home fries and those were outstanding! Perfectly fried and salted. Highly recommend. We also loved the beignets. This little hidden gem is located in a plaza where you can't miss because there's ALWAYS a crowd of people waiting for a table outside. I've been wanting to come here for years but there's always an hr to an hr and a half wait to get seated on the weekends. This time I decided to go on Friday morning and I still had to wait 30mins to be seated but I was determined to eat here and it was so worth wait. So, let's talk about the food! The food: We ordered the Supreme Omelette which was delicious. It came with Sausage, bacon, onions and mushrooms omelette, topped with Cheddar Jack cheese, an English muffin, and country potatoes. All deliciously fresh and well made. We had a side of Cinnamon Roll French Toast which we thought it would be French toast that tasted like cinnamon but we got actual cinnamon rolls, so be careful if that's not what you like LOL. Nonetheless, DELICIOUS! For drinks we had the cutest little pitcher of Strawberry Mimosas and they too were DELICIOUS. Absolutely a 10/10 from the customer service which was impecable to the cleanses of the place, to the food; Everything was perfect! Make sure to come in early on a weekend and be prepared to wait. I ordered the southwest scrambler and to be honest it was just lacking all flavor!! I couldn't taste any of the veggies inside (makes me wonder if they maybe use frozen vegetables?) and the eggs were a bit over cooked (I could tell because they weren't fluffy at all and kind of stuck together/chewy). My side of guacamole was also already brown when my food came out and I thought that was kind of gross because it made it seem old! My friend ordered crab cake Benedict and she thought it was flavorful and good at first but something was kind of off about it and she also didn't end up finishing her meal. The coffee had a great flavor but it was a but watery in my opinion! The interior was clean and had a nice casual atmosphere. One thing I'll say is that it was INSANELY COLD! I couldn't wait to leave towards the end just because I was freezing. The service was just alright... wasn't horrible but definitely could have been better. I've been here 3 times too many. Disappointed every time. My food was a shrimp and grits, it came out warm/room temp at best. My boyfriend's food was the same and it looked so subpar. The waiter was amazing and helped us decide what options we were going to select to eat. My best friend and I got the shrimp and grits that had sausage in it along with the speciality pancakes. I got the bourbon pancakes and she got the strawberry pound cake ones. My other best friend got the big egg scramble which she said was good. Service was friendly, not necessarily excellent but at least it was friendly. For example, I ordered water and had to ask for it 3 times; once the food was brought completely out, our server never once came over to check. But hey. Maybe she was having an off day. You are sure to find something to eat as the menu is extensive and has something for everyone! Some menu items that I read also had beverage pairing suggestions so that was a cool thing. Coffee was brought in ceramic unique cups with their logo. I had the lemon custard filled French toast. Yummy. A few slices of strawberries on top ans plenty of sirup. It was served with two eggs any style on the side amd bacon (or sausage). Also ordered the crab cake benedicts however our plate was missing the hollandaise sauce. It was tasty, just dry. Never got to ask for the sauce since our server never came back to the table (oops!). Oh! They offer gluten-free friendly menu too. Part 2 of my previous review continued. It seems that the staff here is trained to blame the customers when they've made a mistake or when they don't know how to do their job. I used to recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family. I even wrote a 5 star review when it was my first time here, but I wouldn't come back and I won't recommend this place anymore due to the disrespect my party received today and the lack of decent customer service. All in all, if you don't mind terrible service and decent food. Go ahead and go here, but I don't appreciate the hostess telling me different things every time thinking that I won't say something because I was nice to her the first couple of encounters. Also I do not recommend this place for large parties, definitely keep it to a party of 4 or less. It seems like you will get better service that way. Also while we were waiting, I thought oh they must not be seating every table due to Covid. I was wrong because every table in there was full and there was no social distancing at all. Based on all the reviews I was really excited to try out this place. I would love to give this place 5 stars, but truthfully it just kind of fell short for me. The biggest thing that really subtracted from stars was the coffee. They serve it in this weird tiny coffee cup, and the bottom line was that it was kind of watery. I like strong coffee, so not being able to enjoy a nice cup with my breakfast is a big let down for me. Food wise- everything was pretty good. I got the Floridian omelet, which featured crab meat. The flavors overall were good, but honestly there was too much cream cheese in the middle. The quantity of cream cheese sort of destroyed the delicate balance between the crab and the eggs. My husband got a mexican variety of omelet with chorizo, and that was pretty spot on. Service was efficient, but nothing spectacular. I told our waitress that I was not eating bread and yet she still brought me an english muffin.. Overall if we were starving in the area we may come back, but wouldn't make another trip specifically to come here. The whole restaurant is broken. Not just the egg. Especially the manager. I was so excited to come here with my husband as the menu looked so delicious. Starting with we brought our newborn in and asked for an empty table in the back, the host said no and sat us up front next to the busy door. Cool. Server was a nice girl, we both ordered the crab cakes eggs Benedict and a side of bacon. The food took 40 minutes to come out. 40 minutes!!! We watched all the tables that sat after us get their food before us. At that point we're starving. Food arrives, all of our eggs are poached differently. One is runny and the rest are over cooked all in a different way. Eggs Benedict should always have somewhat of runny eggs. Also, both of our Benedict's were cold. COLD after 40 minutes!! We ask for the manager who was beyond rude to us when we explained nicely what happened. She did not have any empathy and tried to tell us that we have not been sitting at our table for an hour by then. Okay, lady. We know what time we got here and ordered. Then she tried to tell us we had to ask for "lightly poached" eggs on the Benedict's. Okay, then why are all 4 poached eggs still cooked differently? Why is one runny and the rest all over cooked in a different way? One was as if it was a hard boiled egg. Why is our food completely cold but the potatoes on the side hot? We decided to leave starving because of her attitude and how long it would have taken to remake the food. We are shocked to see a manager act in such a way. I would like to say I am from the great city of New Orleans and I started coming to this location when it first opened. The quality and service has went down. I don't think I would ever come back. I will say I have noticed the Mardi Gras omelette was definitely not the best. The usual hollandaise sauce poured over was very soupy and almost like a tomatoe based. Not good. The andouille was hilshire farms from Publix definitely not the usual. The omelette was sloppy. Stacy the bartender or server was nice and courteous but the bar table smelled of old water and I did see her rinse out a glass with the water shooter used for soda. After we were seated it got more full and there was actually a line to get in. I can only imagine this place on the weekend. If you come, checkout the waitlist on Yelp since they update their wait and you can get on the list on the app. Service was excellent even though we did wait a bit for our food, our waitress was clearly busy but always managed to get back to us with waiting times. Her recomendations for the City Grits and my Spiked Cold Brew were spot on. My only complaint would be that the Crab Benedict was cold like it had been sitting out or waiting. My daughter did not enjoy her meal but we didnt complain because everything else was wonderful, She ate all the City Grits instead. The following was our meal... Spiked Vanilla Cold Brew - delicious strong on alcohol and coffee drink. The cream froth on top is frothy and ties in the flavors of irish cream and coffee. Biscuit Beignets - warm gooey powdered beignets served with a side of a caramel apricot sauce that we did not enjoy. Was too tarty for beignets. Sauce is not necessary. City Grits - grits with crushed bacon, tomatoes & chives. Yum! Side chosen for omelette. Lobster and Brie Omelette - Cream cheese-filled omelette topped with Brie cheese and champagne butter sauce sautéed lobster meat, tomatoes and green onions. Amazing omelette! Perfect balance of lobster and brie. not skimpy on lobster meat. Crab Cake Benedicts - Jumbo lump crab cakes on an English muffin, topped with poached eggs, andouille-infused hollandaise, red peppers and green onion. You know a place is pretty good when the majority of the mall parking is empty with the exception of the parking spaces surrounding the restaurant. Full lot immediately around! Always wanted to try this place. I finally did and it's waaaaayyyy better than most places around. I really love Little Hen in Weston but I must say that I am really torn now. ABEC has met my expectations and more! As a fan fav I knew I would find delectable and savory breakfast/brunch items but this was incredible! All the cheeses were sinful and the potatoes that come on the side (or you can choose grits) were golden crisp perfection. OH! and how can I forget the new orlean style french beignets. Those were phenomenal, with this amazing peach I think? marmalade that were perfectly together. And for drink I had coffee which was good but nothing spectacular. Located in a plaza next to pembroke lakes mall, it's a fairly new location. Walking in the decor is like a fall theme well decorated. Came in on a Tuesday around 12 for brunch it was no wait at all and there was a lot of people there having brunch. I was glad they had a booth ready when we got there as I requested it. Every employee greets you with a smile. The menu has so many options actually a lot more variety than the similar brunch spot first watch. Most of there menu items come with eggs and a meat side they even have Turkey sausage for the people who dont eat pork or just trying to be a little more healthy. The prices range around $10. But nice portion of food and a good variety. I decided to try the biscuits and gravy which also came with 2 eggs how you like and Turkey sausage as my choice. With that included you get to pick from fried potatoes, fruits or oatmeal as a side. The biscuit was huge, which I loved. Everything was flavorful cooked properly. The fried potatoes are really good it actually is like little French fries. My sister decided to order the chicken and waffles. Which are suppose to come with 4 tenders on top but one of her tenders looked like it was ripped off. The server was very kind to get her an actual size tender and the manager came by also to make sure she is aware and they were fixing it. She was very kind as for the server too. They fixed it and we were both satisfied. There is a bar area available if you want to eat there. The drinks menu actually had some alcohol options if your in that brunch mood. A nice variety of different types of drinks. There is only a single men and single women restroom which might be bad if it's a busy day. But overall everything was clean and everyone was nice. There are no words. This was some of the best brunch food I have ever had the pleasure of eating. A friend of my fiancé told us that Another Broken Egg had a great brunch reputation, so we made a point to stop by. He had disclaimed that unless you get there first thing in the morning, you should expect to wait an hour or more. This proved to be 100% true. But, despite the wait, the experience was great.
