Had breakfast with my family and the staff was very friendly. My husband had the chicken and waffles, which were made just right. If you have not eaten here you're def missing out...what once was a treat to myself has become a must have! Everything on this menu is amazing but my favorites are the shrimp and grits, cinnamon roll pancakes and the city grits! The mimosas are great as well and the service is superior!!! I've never had a bad experience at this establishment and the to go service is great as well!!! First time at this location.. been to the original in Mandeville several times. I really enjoy the eggs and home fries.. yum. kind of disappointed at the Pancakes and syrup once they got together. We went to this place while visiting the area. The atmosphere for this place is very welcoming and judging from the pictures we were looking forward to the experience until we encountered in my books RACISIM !!!! So we ordered chicken sandwich, huveos rancheros and 2 pancake not a big order but at the same time not something that should be waited on for hour and a half especially when we were seated very close to the kitchen and our server kept seeing us very time she walked by to get other orders who came after us...well the food finally did come out and it was nice and COLD which manager did apologize but not genuine at all!!!! The server did not apologize nor did she have the courage to come out again from hiding and show her face !!!! Oh and the best part people who came 30 mins after us got their food and payed and left and we thought maybe she had forgotten about our food given how busy they were but than on 2nd thought we were sitting right in front of the kitchen entrance and the server made eye contact with us every time she walked by and on a side note we weren't asked for refills on our waters when our neighbors were!!!! So, we have heard the raves of this franchised breakfast joint in Destin and were so excited to get one in our home town of Shreveport. We gave them a couple of weeks to be open and get the kinks out and ventured there for breakfast on Saturday. The wait staff was terrible. Started out good and then she was nowhere in sight. I finally found her on the patio waiting a couple of tables out there. May not have been her fault but none the less our experience was effected by it. Now on to the food, the food is acceptable but does not equal the price. We are not cheap people and never scoff at a bill if the food is good. It was marginal. The omelette was ok but I think IHOP has one a little tastier. The bacon was good, coffee acceptable but I was expecting better, beignets were good and french toast was acceptable but I have eaten better. Overall it was very average and overpriced. I do wish them well because the girl (owner) we met was very sweet but for the money I expected more. read more

Honestly this place wasn't all that. We reserved a spot online, and they didn't even notify us that our table was ready. I had to walk inside to ask to be seated. The mimosa was so strong. It was like the orange juice didn't exist. The beignets were amazing! The marmalade that went with it was amazing. My breakfast wasn't that great. They over spiced the gravy, and they put so much basil in the sausage. The waitress was very sweet, but didn't pay much attention to us. Really like this place! This is my 2nd visit, but it has been a while. We have to space out our visits just because of the prices here, it's probably the most expensive choice of breakfast/brunch places around here. You get what you pay for. They have delicious omelets and other egg dishes that you can fuse with all sorts of veggies or meats (lobster, scallions, asparagus, etc.) I really like the Mexican-inspired omelet called "Hey Ricky!" , with avocado and chorizo sausage among other delicious, spicy ingredients. On my first visit, I wasn't crazy about the flavor of their house blend coffee, coming back, I kept an open mind and liked it better this go round. Our waitress today (for Father's Day!) was fantastic, friendly and extremely efficient, what more could you ask for? This will continue to be a once a year, or twice a year place, but we do love it!...Also, you'll want to get here before nine a.m. at the latest on weekends, to avoid having the inevitable wait for a table. This location is open from 7am to 2pm, daily, except for Thanksgiving and Christmas! read more

This place is the place to be seen in shreveport if u care about such things. I personaly care more about quality of food and service, neither of which I ever recieved. My family and I went for breakfast, placed our order and didn't see the waiter for 30 min. at which point he informed us that the "new cook" had lost our ticket and our food would be out in a few minutes. 15 min. later i asked to see the manager. After having to ask for a second time to see the manager she finally decided to grace us with her prescence. I told her that we had been waiting for an hour and still had no food at which point she told me that our ticket had just been turned in and it would 15 min. Needless to say we left and hit McDonalds before they quit serving breakfast. I couldn't tell you if the food is good or not because we never got any. As for the service.... Best breakfast you can buy! This is our absolute favorite restaurant! First off, you have to try the beignets as an appetizer, you won't be sorry. They are always busy, no matter what time of day or what day of the week but the food is well worth the wait. My family and I have tried most of the menu and we have never been disappointed with anything. This used to be our GO TO Brunch spot on Sundays. The wait is always super long on Sunday mornings, which we knew going in. After waiting 45 minutes to get a table, we were seated in the bar area....with our 2 year old. whatever, we are starved. took another 15 minutes to get water, water people! The manager was chatting away with friends, blocking the door to the bar, inconveniencing his own staff and seemed oblivious to the fact that the staff was swamped. Ordered the Crab Cake Benedict as usual and the Chorizo and Egg Taquito which was a special. The Crab Cake Benedict was served with white, chunky hollandaise sauce, clearly having broken and tasted like butter that they forgot to whip in the egg yolks to. The "crab cake" was all claw shredded meat, no lump, and was a half inch thick. Very pathetic looking. And the poached eggs on top were so overcooked, the yolk was solid as a hard boiled egg. This is was my favorite dish there, so I was super disappointed. The Chorizo and Egg Taquito, they forgot to put eggs in, so it was just a chorizo taco. The slaw on the side was good, but had too much sauce. After complaining to our server who apologized, but said they don't allow her to discount the meal, and the manager couldn't even be bothered to come by our table to remedy the situation. Which hey, things happen, if he had at least stopped by to apologize or offer to recook our dishes, we would have understood and probably given them another chance. This was such a sad excuse for what was once a GREAT place to eat. We will not be back. read more

Seven of my friends and I arrived to this restaurant, already reserving our place in line through the yelp app. When we got there, they told us our table was almost ready, that they were cleaning off it off. 20 minutes later they were still 'cleaning' it off. After another 10 minutes we finally got sat, but there was whipped cream all over the already sticky floor. Our waitress first took care of tables sat after us before even taking our drink order. We then waited about 25 more minutes before we even got our drinks, only after we had to find another server and ask if she could please tell our waitress to bring our drinks. My friend ordered coffee and it didn't come with the rest of our drinks, so we reminded her multiple times to please bring our friends coffee out. 40 minutes later, my friend still didn't have her coffee. During these 40 minutes our server never came to check on us and failed to even offer to refill the drinks that we did have on the table. We have been here for an hour and forty minutes and we STILL don't have our food and every other table that sat down after us got their food. In fact, a manager even came up to a table that sat down at least thirty minutes after us and apologized to them because their food was taking so long! The manager NEVER once came to our table, but went up to all the other tables in the section that we were in. Almost two hours later, our food arrives. My friend had ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, sausage and other things,but the waitress brought her a bun with a cold piece of sausage on it and nothing else! Our food was cold, but we were so tired of being there that we didn't have the energy to complain (not that the manager would even care, obviously). Every time I come to this location the food always takes so long and the service is subpar, but this time was exceptionally awful. I am appalled at this service and dumbfounded at the treatment that we have received here and I will never be back. read more

5 Star! This place is so fantastic.. Me and my girlfriend love coming here and sitting at the bar during Football season. It really is the best breakfast food in Shreveport Bossier. The service is always good and we have literally never had a bad experience. (And we try to go every Sunday) It is a little funny being hungover wearing what you had on the night before and sitting next to everybody in Church clothes.. Wonderful food and service!!! Definitely worth the wait, which wasn't that long. 15 minutes maybe. We were passing through Shreveport on our way to southern Alabama. After staying the night in Shreveport, we wanted a yummy Sunday brunch. The biscuit beignets were to die for! The spicy Bloody Mary's were just right. We enjoyed the variety of Egg's Benedict and the seafood on a grits cake. Great coffee! It was clearly a place for the locals. At noon it was not crowded and the for some eggs and a salad was too long. She had no notepad for orders and yet could not memorize orders. Because it is a popular place, there is generally a 30 minute wait so plan accordingly. Our waitress was great, but her helper forgot to deliver the beignets until we were done with breakfast. My husband and I visit family in Dallas and Houston. In both places we have our favorite restaurants of similar style to that of which the broken egg seem to be trying to capture. These other restaurants actually make this style of restaurant work in more expensive cities, with much lower prices for MUCH BETTER food. On our visit to Another Broken Egg "Cafe" we found that the Bacquezo omelet was so strong with chorizo and Jack cheese that it overpowered the bacon, cream cheese and scallion. The hash browns had absolutely no flavor at all - bland - straight from the pre-prepped bag (obviously). I have had REAL corned beef hash - theirs tastes straight from the *Hormel can with a price per serving far more than the cost of several cans off the grocery shelf. The "English muffins" were the worst I have ever tasted with a hint of freezer-burn. I also ordered a Mimosa - it was served without a cocktail napkin or saucer underneath. No place to put the strawberry either after eating it or if one wishes only to remove it without eating. I had to leave it directly on the table. We requested honey for our coffee; good thing that the waitress forgot it as we found out there would have been a CHARGE for this CONDIMENT that is usually complementary even in up-scale restaurants. Not only will we not return and not recommend this restaurant, we will most certainly express openly and frequently to our relatives and friends how horrible our meal and visit to this "restaurant" was. The best part of the meal was the orange garnish that I ate before leaving to freshen my mouth of the extremely poor food. * The restaurant boasts on its menu and website that it serves Hormel products. read more
