We have eaten here several times. The food, cocktails and coffee are first rate. Today I had the Mardi Gras Omelet. I chose potatoes with mine. My husband had the grits. The eggs were very tasty. I say eggs, because it was scrambled eggs, with the everything mixed in the eggs. Not really an omelet at all. But still very tasty. Their potatoes are not worthy of the rest of the menu. They are merely cubed, frozen, and unseasoned. Having said that, this is still a highly recommended brunch spot. read more

We had eaten at the restaurant in Sarasota, Florida and were so surprised to see this location that we just had to try it. On a Thursday morning it wasn't crowded and we were able to sit outside. Our server, Ava, was pleasant and helpful. The menu definitely has unique items, which also makes them a bit pricier than I would normally spend for breakfast. I settled on the French toast filled with lemon curd. It came with 2 eggs and bacon, but I didn't want the eggs, and asked just for the bacon. Our food came quickly and presentation was very nice. I enjoyed the French toast, but would have actually liked more lemon curd. They state the bacon is oven baked and it is as crispy a bacon as I have ever had. I liked my breakfast, but probably wouldn't get it again. Our dining experience was nice, and service felt like it was before the pandemic. My gripe at the end was that because I didn't want the eggs with my order, they rang everything up ala carte and I ended up paying $2 more. I didn't want to make a fuss, but don't understand the logic there. I saved them 2 eggs and they charge me for that. Been here several times! I always ask for Christian bc the first time we went he was attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The mimosas are bomb! Every-time we tried a different food item, it was always flavorful ! The only thing I don't like , is the weird random service charge that no one can explain what it is for. Wasted my money here. I ordered the broken egg biscuit sandwich and I kid you not. There was barely any gravy on the thing. It was also missing the pickle. How does that even happen? We also ordered eggs Benedict. The Benedict was a pale white color and it tasted sour. The potatoes looked like they came straight out of a bag and had no seasoning at all. Apple fritter French toast came in. The smallest portion I've ever seen had barely any bourbon sauce and was just not good. We got free beignets for being a first-time guest which was nice but they tasted so bad that our table couldn't even finish four of them. Sadly there were visible cleaning supplies all over the place in such a large restaurant. I am unsure as to why they would be in view of customers. The service was just okay. It took my server about 30 minutes to finally crack. One little smile at me out of the side of her mouth. I cannot recommend this place. It is overpriced and the food quality is very poor. The food is excellent. Another Broken Egg is one of my favorite breakfast restaurants. This location however, is extremely loud and due to it being located in Crocker Park it is very busy so there are commonly longer wait times. The bar stools and booths are comfortable but the chairs for the tables are very uncomfortable to sit back in. read more

This is a great place for breakfast or brunch especially if you love eggs. They are family friendly and have high chairs as well as a sling for car seats. The waffles are mostly all sweet. I did not see any savory ones on the menu. They do have sandwiches though as well. The sausages were not great in my opinion and were slightly burned. I sat at the bar for breakfast which had a vacation vibe. Service though was slow, although friendly. Menu selection is good. The downside was the omelette was over cooked. It had more of a crusty, dry texture which was not appealing for me. The grits had a small piece of cellophane mixed in. Otherwise, the grits had a pleasant texture and taste. While the menu looks and sounds delightful and unique, the food was extremely underwhelming. I got the huevos rancheros which were soggy and tasted like everything came from a can. No flavor, no freshness. The grits were just okay. The cold brew tasted like the weak iced coffees you can buy by the jug at the grocery store. We also waited over an hour for our food during a time where they were not overly busy. So this breakfast spot is right in Crocker park & is always definitely busy. The wait wasn't too bad and our server was very attentive so I wasn't too worried about the fact we had a lil wait. They have so many options for coffee liquor drinks, mimosas, margaritas, the options made me want to try more than one! I stuck with the spiked salted caramel cold brew & I absolutely loved it!! I had the shrimp & grits with city grits & I personally wasn't a huge fan of the city grits because it's EXTRA cheesy but they do give you ample shrimp & sausage within the grits. Sat down right away, seated right away, received water right away. Coffee tasted awful, like colored water. Waited over 45 minutes for our food even though all tables around us were seated later and got their food right away. Got sooo tired of waiting, asked the waitress how much longer and she said 10-12 minutes (Which means 15-20 minutes) She forgot to put the order in. Food on tables around us looked awful. Unfortunately after my last review, we went back and our experience was not much better- if anything it was worse. We got seated a bit late-- but then the main issue was that once we were seated, they were so incredibly short staffed, we were here way too long! Almost 2 hours total! The waitress was extremely gracious and kind. However, I'm disappointed that they would make any of their wait staff be incredibly burnt out like this. It may have been her and one other waitress with the entire restaurant. I got the huevos rancheros which were good, but again, I would not recommend coming here. It seems that regardless of how long they've been open, they cannot seem to get it together. If you are that short staffed, then you should just temporarily close until you can hire and train enough servers to support the busy brunch crowd. The worst part is that Another Broken Egg isn't some upstart local restaurant-- they are a chain with many other locations across the country. So that makes it all the more embarrassing that they cannot figure out the operations. Needless to say, I highly doubt I could make my family comes back here after the two negative experiences we've had. It's sad because the servers are so nice and the food is good. But the operations make this place a nightmare-- amongst the worse I've seen honestly. read more

I went for the first time today and won't be back. I ordered a veggie omelet with fruit and an English muffin. The omelet was tasteless, the fruit was brown, and half was eneatable. The english muffin wasn't toasted; when I asked for butter, she shoved a small bowl towards me. And I had to ask for a refill of my drink. All in all it was not a pleasant experican. When I spend the money to go out to eat, I at least want good food and service, this just didn't come close. read more

We were in town visiting family and decided to try this place for breakfast. The food was good. Service was a bit slow but it was a holiday week so it was understandable. What was a dealbreaker was the noise level. It wasn't even crowded but the poorly designed acoustics made the noise level unbearable from people simply talking. It was like a giant cafeteria echo chamber. I opened a decibel app on my phone and it read 79-87 decibels continuously. You couldn't hear yourself talk. The server couldn't even hear us when we ordered. We eat out alot and no place has ever sounded like this. I feel sorry for the employees who are subject to that noise level their entire shift. They will definitely have hearing damage. We were looking forward to an enjoyable meal with family but this experience was not it. read more

Pretty standard fare. Encountered the same timing problems as a bunch of the other posters, but what can you expect with an opening weekend? Arrived at 11, wasn't seated until 12:30 - we were told it would take 45 minutes. Our service was great once we were seated, though - we were out within an hour. Got the veggie omelet (pictured) and some biscuit beignets. Omelet was quality - beignets were dough in the middle! I came in because I had good experiences with this restaurant in a few other states. The staff was very friendly and my server Abagail was excellent. . The only complaint I really had (which I shared with the manager Alicia) was resolved within minutes and her response was so professional and customer friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is visiting or a resident. The food was delicious and the service was fast attentive and courteous. I ordered the Biscuits and Gravy with over medium eggs with a side of city grits. Eggs were a bit runny but they made me a new order that was perfect. Found this place on yelp for breakfast one morning on our trip out to Ohio, and loved it so much we went a second time during our trip! We really enjoyed our food- the beignets were worth the hype, husband enjoyed spiked chocolate pancakes and later then the egg Biscuit sandwich. I love eggs Benedict and tried both the crab cake and later the smoked salmon. Delicious food, kind servers and yummy coffee made for some great mornings. Checked in when we got there and still waited over an hour for a table. Once we got seated our service was great we ordered drinks (highly recommend the spiked cold brew!).
