Terrible. How does this place stay in business? My son had reservations for the family on Mother's Day, 6 in all. When we arrived, on time, we were told that, due to issues in the kitchen, we would be seated, but no food would be served for at least an hour. We quickly called a few restaurants for possible availability. We had no luck, so opted to stay. Much later, our server informed us that our fastest option was to order the hamburger. 5 did, 1 ordered the chicken club, 2 also ordered lobster bisque, which we later cancelled. Well over an hour went by before food came. The server, who was left in a bad position, said he would take 50% off the food bill. But, with drinks, the bill was till over $160. To make matters worse, the 5 of us who ordered hamburgers became ill later that evening with stomach issues. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS HORRBLE PLACE! read more

I came in on Valentine's Day with a 730 reservation. When we walked in the reception area was completely jammed with people. Five parties were ahead of us with 730 reservations and four more came in behind us. They had no tables for any of us. We were told it would be at least a 20 minute wait. I of course argued that this is why we make a reservation so we don't have to wait but, it fell deaf ears. Wasn't seated till 8 PM. Again, if I wanted an 8 PM reservation I would've made an 8 PM reservation. There was really no place for anyone to sit while waiting and a lady with a walker came in had to just stand. No one could offer a seat cause they weren't any. I was there that night a total of two hours. For a place that specializes in burgers and tacos. There was the apologies in the O we overbooked and we are under staff, but that's not the customer's problem. That's management's problem. If you don't have enough slots or enough people, then you need to not take that many reservations. 20 minutes for cocktails to arrive and a half an hour for the appetizers. It was an hour from the time we sat down until dinner was served. We ordered a second round of cocktails before the food came. It took another 20 minutes to get that. Mine was just a glass of Prosecco and my husband's was just a draft beer. 20 minutes to get those two. The appetizers were great. We had calamari and firecracker shrimp. I think we both prefer the firecracker shrimp, quite flavorful. My husband did say that this calamari rival was more expensive restaurants. My husband Smashburger was to his liking and he did indeed enjoy it. My fish and chips was actually oily. Like they could've drained it just a little bit more. I understand they're busy but just a little more draining would've done better. The slaw needed seasoning. But there was no salt or pepper to be had and the server was too busy to come over and get it for us. We got to sit by the fireplace, which was nice and warm. Might I be back to try the Smashburger, my husband like so much ? I don't know, maybe. But this visit much like the oily fish has left a bad taste in my mouth... read more

Ehhh, the Burntwood Tavern is classic, if you are looking for a light lunch, the perfect patio (it's also heated in the early enter) or dinner you can always get a table or sidle up to the bar. We had the hot shrimp, seasoned perfectly and fresh, clearly not frozen. We also split the tacos, the perfect portion, fries on the side and a burger. Honestly the service is hit or miss as late, I'm Always ready to give it another try hoping they return to the height of their opening. read more

Came on a Thursday evening with a couple friends to this location. This place seemed understaffed, 2 of the booths were sitting there dirty with dishes from previous customers. The interior was nice though, with chandeliers and a nice bar atmosphere. The food was subpar. I ordered the shrimp tacos, which was 3 for $14. Very small portions, wish it came with a side of fries or something. My friend ordered the margarita flatbread for $14 also, which seemed more like an appetizer than an actual entree. I ordered online, arrived at the restaurant for pick up 15 minutes after, and still had to wait 30 minutes standing at the bar for my food. Is there a zero rating? I took my mother and the rest of the family out for mother's day yesterday, six people in total. Made the reservations about a week in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told by the front desk that the kitchen was "backed up" approximately 45 minutes to an hour. After some discussion , we decided to stay. Big mistake. Food took over 90 minutes to arrive. I was charged for two lobster bisques that we never received. The waiter graciously gave me 50% off of the food bill, but of course the lobster bisques were still on the invoice. I just didn't care, all I wanted to do at that point was get out of there as soon as possible. No manager EVER came over to apologize for the situation. Five of us ordered burgers as the waiter said those would come out from the kitchen before anything else. None of the food was cooked properly. Paid my $166 bill and left. Next morning, everyone in our party is sick to their stomach. Please, please, please, don't make my mistake and patronize this restaurant! read more

We recently hosted a bridal shower here, and I can't say enough about the service. The food and mimosa bar all went over well, but the attention to detail from Veronica and Liz truly stood out. They made sure everything was seamless- the room was set up when we arrived and it was clear this was not their first rodeo. Liz waited on our guests with a very personal touch- my mimosa glass was never empty. She was the greatest!! We had a great dinner with my family for our daughter's 24th birthday. My in laws are in their 90s and the atmosphere was hip enough for the kids, but calm enough for the grandparents. Our server Melissa was amazing. Very attentive and kind. The fish tacos were among the best we've had, and the kids (ages 18-24) loved their burgers, sandwiches, and steaks. Went there for Mother's Day. Reservations for 2pm, seated at 2:40. Half of the buffet items were empty and they weren't refilling them because it was almost 3! There were 5 of us. Made a reservation for an early Mother's Day brunch. I was called two days ahead to tell me they aren't open at the time of the reservation I booked online and they wouldn't have anything but a high top at 11:00am -can't use that table with a baby and small child. I confirmed my reservation twice on open table at the restaurants request. She was supposed to check with north Olmsted to try and rebook me there but I never heard back. I came here on a Tuesday while I was in town. Walking in the place had a good smokey smell from the kitchen using wood to cook over. The other thing I noticed walking in is that they had daily specials listed and Tuesdays was all day happy hour. Each day had a reasonably attractive item listed. For my meal I had a cup of lobster bisque and the salmon entree. I also had a Sam's Adam and pumpking from southern tier. They had a really good selection of beers available including the fall selections. The bisque was ok and the salmon was excellent. It was lightly charred on the outside and was not dried out. Really nicely done and flavorful. Overall had a very good experience here and would come back when in the area. read more

I was surprised to walk in here and see such a large, beautiful inviting space. How awesome. This place is seriously gorgeous. My favorite part of their decor is the lights hanging above their booths. They are made of repurposed wood and are very unique. They have a great food and drink menu featuring local and national craft beers, delicious cocktails and food ranging from flatbread, sandwiches to salads. They really have something for everyone. I ordered the Fresh Greens salad with blackened Shrimp and my husband ordered the Reuben. Both were super tasty and the Reuben was seriously HUGE. It was enough for him for dinner and breakfast the next day and he eats a lot. We were both super satisfied with our food. My only problem with this place is that I paid for two meals (my husband and I), as well as our drinks and two beers for a friend and it somehow cost $70. I absolutely LOVE this specific location. Other locations not so much. I stopped in on a Saturday morning around 1030. I sat at the bar to order a burger, they hardly had a crowd. The service was amazing, the lovely bartender was so kind. Burntwood Tavern is very rustic looking, I enjoy the interior design, its different from other places. Their food is unique but you also have your normal or typical options. I ordered a burger, I think it was the burntwood burger??? Help if I'm wrong. It had an egg and hashbrowns ON THE BURGER. The egg was perfectly cooked, yolk gooey on the inside. I also had pickles and cheese. (Not a fan of tomatoes and I don't eat bacon). I will defiantly be back to this location.
