Celebrated my birthday today at Anqi's inaugural Sunday brunch today and we were treated to a phenomenal experience. The staff was so friendly from our server, Carlos, to our prime rib carver, Peter. The sampling of so many different dishes featured on the restaurant menu made this a great event. My personal favorites included the shrimp and lobster dumpling and the perfectly cooked medium rare prime rib in the Au jus. The beef pho soup was delicious when topped with prime rib. The garlic fried rice paired great with the sea bass with a side of the arugula/snap pea salad and lemongrass chicken. The food stations were nestled very neatly into their banquet room. They even brought me a scoop of delicious chocolate for my birthday.

We've been here a few times. The butterfish dish has been consistently amazing! Fillet mignon on a Himalaya salt bed without fresh herbs and baked whole bulb of garlic was excellent! Steak was cooked to requested temperature. Fillet had plenty of flavor, sauce was really optional. I know they are famous for the garlic noodles, but it was quite disappointing. Lack flavor, garlic presence, and presentation. The kimchi dumplings had more garlic pieces than the garlic noodle! Atmosphere and service were excellent! If the price is a bit lower I'd give it a 4 stars.

My friend and I came for an early dinner and we tried the lobster dumplings. The sauce on the dumplings is delicious. I would love the recipe! We also shared the garlic noodles and the wok stir fried veggies with butternut squash. The space is beautiful and comfortable. There is a large bar area. Please come and create your own adventure.

Sunday Brunch was such an unexpected all you can eat experience. You get a little bit of everything from creative dimsum bites to traditional pho, dry noodles, rice in three ways, skewers, egg and more. You're even handed one drink voucher per person to pick from a of fruit teas to of course Vietnamese coffee. Service was friendly and attentive even if you opted for the self service Sunday brunch. The place is nicely designed with traditional Vietnamese devote with a splash of upbeat music. Loving the vibe of this place. Can't wait try some dishes from their traditional lunch and dinner menu with a larger party.

    Ribeye Lunch Special

Seeking a refined lunch destination during a recent shopping outing, my wife and I decided to revisit AnQi after a prolonged absence. The experience yielded some exceptional highlights, accompanied by a minor caveat for those with specific dietary needs. The absolute standout of the afternoon was the Ribeye Bowl. Comprising a well prepared ribeye steak served over rice and finished with an egg, the dish was executed flawlessly. Offered as a lunch special (available between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM) for $29, it presents an extraordinary value. In fact, it easily ranks among the best lunch entrees I have had in recent memory--a truly remarkable, satisfying dish at a highly reasonable price point. It is worth noting, however, that the kitchen's current offerings are somewhat restrictive for diners requiring gluten-free vegan accommodations. With very few plant-based options available, my wife's choices were quite limited. She ultimately opted for a salad, which was fresh and adequately prepared, though it understandably lacked the culinary elevation found in the restaurant's signature meat-centric dishes. The beverage program is a distinct highlight. AnQi boasts a thoughtfully curated wine selection alongside a highly inventive cocktail menu. I highly recommend the "Oh My Lychee" cocktail; it was expertly balanced, refreshing, and served as a perfect accompaniment to the meal. Finally, our server deserves special commendation. The hospitality we received was attentive and warm, elevating our entire visit. While the menu could benefit from broader dietary inclusivity, AnQi undeniably delivers outstanding service, superb beverages, and incredible value on its core lunch offerings.

The Kimchi Fried Rice, the Colossal Tiger Prawns with An's Famous Garlic Noodles, and the Mongolian Lamb Chop were great. The Ace of Spades cocktail had a nice smoky flame presentation.

Open Monday-Sunday, 12 PM to 9 PM. I tried the tomahawk steak and would rate it a 3/5. It's served on a salt block, which is a nice presentation, but for my personal taste it came out a bit too salty. Pairing it with the garlic noodles and prawns definitely helped balance the flavor and made the dish more enjoyable overall. We also ordered the raw tuna taco, which was absolutely delicious fresh, well-seasoned, and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The interior is beautiful very stylish, warm, and thoughtfully designed, making it a great place for a nice dinner or special occasion. Overall, a lovely atmosphere with some standout dishes, and worth checking out if you're in the area.

    Menu 3/6 - Rice, Noodles, Veggies, & Lunch Special - December 2025

I love Asian fusion, so my partner made a reservation at Anqi to try it out. The food was overall good, with some small misses. They also gave an ice cream scoop and a candle for my birthday. Note: They do charge an extra 3% on the bill that go to kitchen staff. The service was nice and friendly. Though, the initial reception was a bit weird. When we walked in, dressed all nice (majority of the customers were very casual), the host asked, "How can I help you?" with a questioning tone of voice instead of a smile and being welcoming. It was as if he was wondering why we are here. Maybe he was just having a bad day. * Award-Winning Tombo Tuna Tacos 5/5 - This wouldn't be my usual go-to, but I really enjoyed it. The tuna was mildly spicy, packed inside a hard taco shell that tasted like a big Doritos chip. The yuzu kosho condiment was good and the caviar added a nice texture on top. * Shrimp & Lobster Dumplings 3/5 - Tasted underwhelming. The sauce was mild, didn't taste like much. The shrimp and lobster were grounded and mixed together, so you can't taste the actual meat. It was reminiscent of a dim sum shrimp ball. * AnQi Signature Prime Ribeye + Vietnamese Black Pepper Sauce 5/5 - The ribeye came out sizzling on a salt block where you can let it cook to your desired doneness. The ribeye paired amazingly well with the complex-tasting pepper sauce. Definitely the highlight of our dinner. * Grilled Prawns 5/5 with Garlic Noodles 3/5 - The garlic noodles were garlicky and buttery. However, the noodles themselves weren't good, kinda limp and overcooked, not chewy. The prawns were really good. * Lychee Cloud Mocktail 5/5 - Delicious. It tasted like a sweet tropical dessert. Similar to a Pina colada but with a more creamy coconut flavor.

I have been going here forever and I love it!!! The food is so good and the ambiance is stellar! Tonight I ordered the Kimchi rice, shrimp and lobster dumplings, and grilled prawns W/ Ann famous garlic noodles. Everything was fresh and made well! 5/5 for the food The service was 5/5 for me. Our server was very nice and attentive the entire time. Must I add she gave some good options as well. For my drink I ordered the heavenly pear and it was so good!! Not too sweet and very smooth! The ambiance is perfect for any occasion and celebrations! They have good deserts, with the ice cream made at the table being very popular! It's very nice decor and spacious inside! Very nice bar too! I highly recommend and if you like their sister restaurant Crustacean you will love it here! Good service, food, cocktails, and nice ambiance! -Marshay D.

    Crispy Garlic Rice & Mushrooms

I made reservations for last Monday at 1 PM for five people or at least I thought I did. It must not have went through because they did not have my reservation. However, not a problem as the restaurant was not crowded. Two of us came for the Roasted Crab, but it must've been a while ago cause the price is now $125. Quite a bit higher than the current market price, but we treated ourselves. Since not everyone was ordering roasted crab we went ahead and ordered ours out of the shell. I think I enjoyed it more with the buttery seasoned shell, but this was good too. We also ordered the Crispy Garlic Rice With Mushrooms. Delicious. I think there were at least 3 different types of mushrooms. Love the crispiness of the rice. And of course we had the Garlic Noodles Their service was very nice and the ambience paired nicely with the meal.

I love this place! I have celebrated many milestones with them-birthdays, graduations, anniversaries. The service is always professional and excellent. It's located in the Bloomingdales in the South Coast Plaza mall so its always nice to shop around and come here afterwards for a nice meal. Every dish they have has never missed the spot. My favorite is the Garlic noodles and I have to get that every time I come regardless of what i order-such a classic and so good. If you have room for dessert, try their tableside ice cream. It's always fun and a nice little show when ending dinner. Can't wait to come back in the future!

I like to take my kids to a nice dinner to give us an opportunity to slow down, talk, and go over some dining etiquette, and it's always at this time that I realize I may not be the best person to teach them about dining etiquette but they roll with it. The service was relaxed so it gave us time to look over the menu, order and appetizer, and mull over if we are getting too much food or not. Unlike most Asian restaurants where meals are family style, this is a high-end dining experience and maybe it was not meant to be family style but we did it that way. The portions were very small and the quality of the food was excellent. We normally don't order dessert but I had to because the table side ice cream was a fun experience. Overall, super delicious. A great date night place but maybe not a family with teens/kids dining place though my teens liked it and that it was cool.
