Attending anthem coffee since it first opened and took over ebb and flow. I love their coffee, tea, smoothie bowls, pastries everything is absolutely phenomenal. They even have the Joe app so if you're in a rush, you place your order pick it up and run out much faster than Dutch Brothers, Starbucks or any of the chains in the surrounding area.

I've been hunting all over the west valley for the best dirty chai. This is BY FAR the best hot dirty chai I've had so far! The foam on the top of the chai was beautifully crafted micro foam and I got the mixed combination of sweet and spicy! Perfectly sweet with a hint of spice at the end. I will definitely be back for more. Slightly disappointed that you're paying almost 10$ for a turkey pesto sandwich that's smaller than the size of my palm. There's hardly any turkey or cheese on it. You might as well buy the entire sourdough loaf in the front for 10$ and make it at home. The açaí bowl we tried is the best I've EVER tried! So flavorful. I love the atmosphere and the inviting customer service. Great baristas!

Love the espresso here. Me and my friends stop by every morning after a hike. Love that their white mocha is powder, super tasty. Drinks can be on the sweeter side. Love the open seating!

Love the food and drinks here. Have come here each time with my toddler and love that they have a selection of board games to play while you visit. There are bathrooms and tons of indoor and outdoor seating. Workers are friendly and pricing is fair for the value.

We took an early morning trip to Verrado and worked up a sweat at the 340 steps in the middle of Saguaro country. On our way back, we wandered into town looking for a coffee place to grab a quick bite. We saw a good amount of commotion in this area and that was our first sign that we had stumbled on what we were searching for. This place has many breakfast goodies, and I settled for an Acai Bowl. This was a good choice since I had just come back from a good work out and wanted to eat something that would not result in feeling guilty for the hard work going up those never-ending steps. The bowl was fresh, and the toasted coconut added a good touch. I ordered 2 shots of espresso w/ raw sugar and a splash of half & half, on ice to wash this down. They do have many espresso options as well. I highly recommend visiting Verrado, early in the morning before it gets too hot, if you are near the Phoenix area. Add Anthem Coffee as your stop as a reward for your hard work and avoid the generic corporate coffee shops that litter this area.

Anthem coffee is VERY underwhelming. Service I give a 0, they didn't seem like they were working as a team but more as individuals trying to get through their work day. The price is definitely cheaper than other coffee shops but unfortunately I'd rather keep going to Starbucks instead of supporting this small business. The ambiance in general just seemed catered to a specific type of person. Used to be Ebb and flow which was a better spot overall, hands down. New owner should really reevaluate what it takes to run a coffee shop in such a great area, there's definitely a big opportunity being missed here.

There are new owners Anthem from Puyallup. WA. It has been a slow transition. The coffee seems a little better even though my Dopio (double) shot was only a single. Last week it was a double shot. I keep trying to give them a chance to get their groove down. I understand there is a lack of staffing issue. I assume why you cut store hours. Not sure why the music inside is now louder than before. This is not Seattle trying to keep the homeless out. Hopefully they can get it together before the two new coffee shops being built a block away from each store opens this fall.

Hands down best chocolate chip cookie. Also had here lavender honey latte with coconut milk. Really good, not at all what I would have thought. You could get it with regular milk or almond milk, but after chatting with the girls I'm glad I went with coconut. In my opinion their oatmeal cookie was not good, the taste was a little off. All in all a really cute shop and great community they are surrounded by. See you next time, to try some new stuff!! read more

Not only is the coffee good, but the atmosphere and vibe is great. They have been crazy busy this first week, which is a good sign but for us who like to work in coffee shops quietly for hours, I'm sure it will down. I have always been able to get a table though. Been there a few times already and their staff is really nice. So far, I've had a mocha and cappuccino and their croissant breakfast sandwich. They were all good. So glad about this new addiction to the neighborhood. We needed a coffee shop like this. The owners are young so they really took the design into consideration . No longer have to drive downtown for a "cool coffee place". read more

Definitely worth the short Scenic Drive from the I-10! The location is amazing, they really knew how to decorate the store and offer great menu items. From breakfast sandwiches to cold brew coffee fresh baked goodies and alternative coffee drinks ebb and flow seriously figured out how to please a Small Town neighborhood with a big coffee appetite. I've always been disappointed in coffee shops, a lot of places leave a ashy, old, bad taste in my mouth; it's hard to find quality coffee, but I've never been disappointed here. read more

This is literally my favorite eatery in my life, the coffee shop of my dreams!! The coffee is to die for (I usually get my lattes half-caffeinated), and the fresh smoothies and smoothie bowls are so delicious and nutritious! So the wife and I are new to Verrado and we love this place. The community as a whole has a small town charm and this coffee shop fits right in. I'm a Chai latte fan, but I'd say theirs is better than Starbucks and their kombucha is good stuff. I haven't had much in terms of baked goods, but their breakfast bagel sandwiches are delicious. I look forward to more good times here, I'll remain loyal and support this small business. read more

Feel SO lucky to be only 2 blocks away from this gem! Just opened up in Verrado and I have already visited 3 times! The customer service was amazing and each time my coffee and food was hot and delicious! Anyone who knows me knows I can be picky! There is nothing bad to say about this coffee shop! Even though the shop has been busy, they have moved the lines in a seamless fashion! Kudos to you! One suggestion for all of the healthcare professionals out here in Verrado, please consider opening at 5am so we all have the chance to get your coffee and yummy food in the am! Decent place for coffee, but if you are looking for eggs(chilled edges) that are precooked and heated then you found your spot. Bagels are bought in and manufactured rather than made. The crust was delish - hard yet the tips were droopy - that's a beautiful job - as a NYer we look for that in a pizza. It was tasty. I did order a cannoli when I ordered my pizza. When we were ready to leave, I went up to get a box and asked if my Canoli was ready and she said "I will make it now" This isn't a sit down order at the table kind of place. From here I was sitting, I was able to watch the gals just chit chatting - I think she forgot. Not a big deal. I ended up taking it to go. Had a bite when we got home, that was yummy. Pizza is tasty would I drive back down to our downtown for it? Probably not. Glad I was able to try it. Like I said "it was tasty"

We are Foodies at heart and love supporting local businesses. Please, this is feedback for the business to improve, and protect customer safety. Location was great in a little strip mall area. Disappointed with dirty tables, an off putting smell and burned out light bulbs. 2 young male employees were chatting behind counter. No customers in store. Menus were sticky and dirty, and were politely asked if it was our first time and why there were different menus. One had sushi, the other poke. The poke items were behind a glass barrier for all to see( like Subway), and selections were so sad with carrots that were dried up looking and other items did not look great. In a Sushi or poke place it is number #1 to present your food quality and selection with only the best. Customers are eating raw seafood items and want to see that your food prep and display are on point. My husband gave the poke a 6/10 for his 3 protein bowl. He said "portions were small, no furikake, selections for condiments were lacking. The 3 different types of tuna were fine". I ordered the 2 protein bowl. I got spicy tuna and shrimp. I asked for only a 1/2 cup of brown rice but mostly salad. The employee the squatted down out of my vision with bare hands, opened the cooler and the came back up with pretty wilted salad greens. He continued to ask me what I wanted , and I too skipped over many selections due to how they looked in the fresh bar. The shrimp was overcook and like rubber bands with a strange aftertaste. I gave my bowl a 2/10. I then excused myself and went to the restroom in rear of buisness. An older employee had just come out of employee entrance door to kitchen wiping his hands on his pants. The bathroom door was disgusting and obviously had not been cleaned in months for all customers eating to see. Remember, this is a restaurant that serves raw food. It should reflect a standard of cleanliness and maintenance to protect the customer. Once inside, the smell was so offensive that I thought" that must be coming from the sewer drain, or........." as I looked around I was repulsed at the condition of the bathroom. An old baby changing station with a stained cloth changing pad was in bathroom as well. Litter all over floors, puddles of stained urine at base of toilet. Floors not mopped. Surfaces had not been cleaned in months. A rusty, filthy garbage can that sat next to toilet, the list goes on. I kept saying to myself "oh no, this is not good because if they lack total knowledge how to keep their customers safe, what and how are they prepping their raw seafood for consumption?" It was all I could do to get that bathroom out of my mind to go eat my poke bowl. Once you opened bathroom door, the smell followed me to my sticky table. I stopped between bathroom and table as I saw the 2 younger employees standing around behind a small storage wall chatting and notified them of bathroom issue. They did not respond. We were only customers in restaurant. I observed after 10 mins( still no other customers) that one employee walked in bathroom and walked immediately out with no attention to the issue. In all my 25 years of food service, I've never seen a worse bathroom, let alone after you pointed out it needed attention, that nothing was done. Our food was was subpar and we were really dissatisfied as the reviews had been the opposite. My recommendations: 1. Clean your bathroom DAILY, especially since it is the only bathroom and both men, women and children use it. No exceptions. If you are keeping a baby changing area, it needs to be a hard cleanable surface, not with a fences and urine stained pad. 2. Clean and repair issues in plain sight of customer and behind in kitchen. 3. No bare handing of food! No exceptions. Put salad in cold case where all can see. Not out of hidden area behind counter. Not acceptable. 4. Employee training on how to handle concerns or complaints. 5. Better selection of poke condiments. They were pretty sad. Like I said before, take this advice and I promise you will get a better reputation and more revenue as you display how much you care about the customer and the restaurant experience. I paid over $50.00 to go out ( a huge treat retired these days)once a week and that place needs attention. BTW.... That was yesterday 6/3/26 and my husband and I both woke up this morning to grumbling bellies and diarrhea. Coincidence??? I want to love the place, but it is a huge pass for me in the future unless they take action to remediate issues above.

Sinful, with berry pieces in it. I kidded with Joe, the owner (see the photos) that his store looks like an escapee from Scottsdale, without Scottsdale prices. He laughed. There are so many other fun things you can buy there. Joe's so incredibly friendly, and he gave me a sample to try. There's more seating, lots of it, than the pictures imply. It's all beautifully decorated, so you'll enjoy the experience for more than just the gelato. Wherever you dine in the Buckeye area, leave room and stop over at The Gelato Tavern for a fun and incredibly tasty experience! And go next door to Barbon Asadero for a wonderful Mexican lunch or dinner. We dined there first, and had gelato for dessert. As I said, leave room for a gelato dessert wherever you dine!
