Stopped by here on the way back home to California. Everything was decently priced! Got a smoothie (options were strawberry, strawberry banana, peach or mango), cold brew and a breakfast sandwich and burrito. It was a good quick stop, they have a drive thru. My only complaint was I wish the menu at the beginning was a little more cohesive, I was sad to find out when I drove up to the window that there were many more options & various menus than I thought ! This is my favorite coffee shop in Buckeye. Located conveniently off the 10 and jackrabbit trail just a couple blocks south makes it easy to hop off the freeway and back on. Their cute little shop is outside seating only but I always choose the convenient drive-thru. Everyone is kind and helpful here when you order. Being that it's not a chain, they have many unique drinks here. The desert tortoise is one of my favorite cold coffee's as well as their cold brews! For breakfast the chile verde breakfast burrito does not disappoint! It's packed with meat, cheese and eggs with salsa available on the side. Their hours are perfect for any commute start time and the drive thru is quick. Keep up the great work! read more

I stopped by here a couple of Saturday mornings ago with my with my wife, twins for our morning coffee. Whenever we go on vacation, we like to hit up local coffee shops and on this day we went to Jackrabbit Java. I didn't bother to research it much and went completely off of ratings and so I was surprised to see a drive thru type coffee shop with a walk up window as well. We ended up utilizing the drive thru and you ordered and paid on one side before driving around to the other side for pickup. On this morning I decided to go with one of their signature drinks, a large hot cookie butter (latte), while my wife went with a small iced cookie butter and my mother in law went a small hot apple pie. From ordering until our drinks were ready only took a couple of minutes and we were quickly on our way. My coffee here ended up being pretty good as you really could taste the cookie butter up front while the coffee was prevalent on the back end. The cookie butter wasn't overly sweet either which I appreciated as I don't always want a sugar bomb with my coffee. My mother in law and wife also enjoyed their coffees as well and we all ended up happy with our selections. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Everyone in our car enjoyed the drinks that we had ordered and I would love to try more of their signature drinks. read more

We left the East end of the valley early to beat traffic on the way out of town. Not being familiar with the area we made our breakfast choice with hope, a prayer, & reviews & landed at Jackrabbit. Coffee was spot on. If they were on my end of town I'd be a regular. Service was quick & friendly. The cake pop made for one very happy very messy toddler. The breakfast sandwiches were life savers but pretty basic. I wish more of these coffee shop with breakfast options would opt for a toaster oven or air fryer instead of a microwave. read more

If you want to have some good tasting coffee that WILL wake you up then this is the spot! I always get the iced desert tortoise with vanilla sweet cream and it NEVER disappoints. I have also tried the cookie butter iced coffee and it's just as amazing. The service is excellent ALWAYS. They are small business owners and all of the staff is so attentive and friendly. This was my first time visiting Jackrabbit Java and I loved it! It's a cute little coffee shop tucked right off Jackrabbit Road. This place is perfect! Definitely my favorite local coffee shop!! The coffee is always good as well as their tea. My favorite coffee is the cookie butter latte but I've tried other ones and it's always delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are really yummy as well. My favorite is the turkey sausage and my boyfriend likes the pesto. Every time I go there the staff are always friendly and helpful. They are efficient and make sure everything is how you ordered it. Updating my review. The owner claims they don't charge for ice. I encourage you to look at the receipts. I should have just taken a picture of one to point out the lie being told by the owner here. Either you stopped charging for ice. Or an employee was pocketing that money and charging for ice. Either way, DOUBLE CHECK your receipts. read more

The drinks are small and very expensive... I'm all about supporting local, but you have to provide something spectacular if you're not going to be competitive. It was good coffee! Don't get me wrong, but it wasn't worth nearly $8 with no additions or substitutions. You could just go to Starbucks, Black Rock, etc. I'm not sure what makes this place special besides being locally owned. If that's your thing, go for it! I'm just not sure it's for me. read more

Thinking about finding delicious coffee in Arizona? Yeah right. I'm from Seattle, we have coffee in our blood. It did take a bit to get there from where we were but I don't regret it. I spent so long just looking over the menu (btw props for having it online) and I was just blown away by the selection. There was no wait, surprisingly. Keeping in mind I don't do sugar it's hard to find sugar free flavors but they had a pretty impressive selection. The flavor of the coffee was actually good without any extras. The barista was sweet and patient as I asked for a million modifications. But.... Go here, and ask for cookie butter. Trust me. read more

This place is a cute little coffee drive thru with TONS of options. There is a couple of chairs and tables outside for seating, but it's overall a small space primarily for drive thru orders. Their menu has some signature drinks with very "desert-y" names. They have milk substitutes and so many flavors to customize your drink any which way. It's probably one of the most expansive menus I've ever seen in regards to flavors. Staff was so friendly and patient. Good place for a quick coffee! Don't be fooled by their short menu, I'm a "back to the basics" lover when it comes to coffee. I didn't see 'vanilla' anywhere on their menu but I am glad I asked. My go to for a good coffee is a vanilla iced coffee with cream and sugar, and they delivered. Yay! I can't speak for the rest of the menu, but if it's as good as the basic I received, I have good faith. I can't speak on names of who helped, but the younger brunette taking my order was super friendly and helpful, which is always nice when you're trying something new. The middle aged lady who delivered my drink I can't say the same for sadly. She seemed like she may have been having a rough morning. Can't wait to update this review in the future and account her mood as just a bad day and not an attitude. read more

So we headed inside where I was able to order my drink and they had lots of other random food as well. In any case, for my coffee on this morning I decided to order a large latte and after about a 5 minute wait, it was ready. My latte here was decent enough with the milk pretty much overpowering any coffee flavor but it was able to peak through every now and again. Whenever it did make it through the flavor was decent but not great. The bottom line for me is that I would stop back here again in the future. I love the idea of serving coffee from the trolley and would hope to see them back in there although I do understand that's it's probably a lot more economical to have it inside the general store.

You know me I am a sucker for anything chalk art! Today I stopped with my son on our way to Like Days. He's been dying (continually asking) for some fabulous got chocolate. So I said Java Trolley here we come! It did not disappoint. This kid was jumping for joy before, during and after. He said it was tasty! There were so many options and flavors to chose from, but I'm a sucker for a good latte so I went with a caramel iced coffee. The cups come in three sizes. Today I've had A LOT of coffee lol so I settled on a 12oz and it was perfect. Great blend, awesome flavor and not too bitter. We will definite be back! Great job ladies. I learned that a bollo is a hand-stuffed soft brioche dough filled with eggs, local meats, and seasonal ingredients. It was served warm and was delicious! My latte was also wonderful. Highly recommend checking out this great, locally-owned coffeehouse!

On our second visit, I was more disappointed with this place. Our first visit was during their soft…read moreopening. As one of the less-common allergies to be exposed to, I was careful with what I ordered during that visit, and the first time, during the soft opening, the server helped me find something that would not trigger my allergy. I mentioned to our server about my allergy and that I was having a difficult time finding something that would work for me, and she just kind of shrugged her shoulders and walked away. This non-verbal action basically said "figure it out on your own." I thought I found something on the menu that would work, and ordered it. I do not recall the menu description having any indication of a trigger for me. I thought I was safe. The chickachanga was SMOTHERED in hollandaise. Normally, I can handle hollandaise and be tolerable with my allergy. First Watch's hollandaise is made with far more lemon than reasonably needed. My husband tasted the sauce and even said "Wow! That is SUPER lemony!" I get lemon and lime are flavors to brighten some flavor profiles, but almost every dish on their menu has it. Arugula dressed in lemon, their fresh drinks are all based in lemon juice, their hollandaise has more lemon than needed, the list goes on. Fortunately, for my allergy, it's mild. I wont die from exposure, I will, however, be incredibly uncomfortable for the rest of the day. But, what if it was something more common? Would that same server shrug her shoulders and walk away when a food allergy is mentioned? No matter what kind of deal or promise is made, I cannot go back. The lack of concern from the server is what made that decision for me. There's a better sit-down breakfast/brunch place across the street that doesnt slather everything in citrus.

Today, our breakfasts are experienced at places like "Over Easy," "First Watch," "Village Inn," and "Denny's." It's industrial breakfast. The old-fashioned, mom-and-pop diners are as rare as a hen's tooth. But not in Buckeye, Arizona. The Heritage is a welcome return to the great, neighborhood breakfast counters of old. It's privately owned and the owner, Kevin, greets you and stops by your table. "That's great," you say. But what about the food? And that's where The Heritage makes its name. Let's start with the homemade, pillowy sourdough English muffins. Most places use some industrial-food English muffin preserved with disgusting ingredients like L-Cysteine. These aren't those. These are like your grandma made. They're soft, yeasty circles of beauty with just enough sourdough taste to send your tastebuds into bread heaven. They're a far cry from your basic English muffin. On to the eggs. Most breakfast restaurants use liquid eggs from the restaurant supply. They come in big bags, bereft of nutritious value and flavor, but full of preservatives. Not these. The Heritage uses fresh eggs and they've perfected how to make them fluffy, buttery, and perfectly-cooked. No brown spots or runny middles. It's egg perfection. The sausage is really different. These are not your usual Sysco or Shamrock greasy pucks. They're thin and fresh and meaty and just slightly spicy (not hot just slightly herby). They're a subtle flavor surprise. And fork tender. The potatoes are little cubes of rich goodness. Cooked just right and golden brown. They're excellent. To finish off the breakfast, Heritage serves a luscious Carmel pecan roll with a vanilla glaze. I liked it but it was slightly dry if I want to be ridiculously nit-picky. But most people wouldn't even notice. All of it is served by some smiling young women who were working hard and answering lots of questions. The entire service experience was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. On a Saturday morning the place was PACKED so service was slightly slow. Though nothing like a crazy morning at Over-Easy or First Watch. What an amazing and pleasant surprise this little restaurant is. Their breakfast burrito looked excellent and everybody around us was raving about it. I'll try that next. The menu is small but efficient and contains some little gems. Give the cinnamon roll a try too! This is an absolute must for breakfast or brunch. The burger itself was pretty tasty, but if the bun was a little softer, I would've given it a solid 9/10. Still, their breakfast is always delicious, and that's usually what keeps us coming back.
