Came in to replace batteries for three watches. Was expecting to have to leave them and pick them up in a week or so but Fernando replaced the batteries in each watch in around 6 minutes total all while rapping with me about the Bruins/Islanders Game 5 from the night before! Fernando, the owner of Anthony Andrews is an absolute unicorn when business of jewelry sales. I have been looking for an estate yellow gold engraved ring and had pretty much given up after going to 15 or so shops prior to this one. Each one had the same eternity bands and salesman spiel even though they didn't have what I wanted to purchase, which made me feel awkward. At Anthony Andrews, there is no pressure to buy. At the same time, he is attentive and facilitates you finding what you need and is flexible because the shop does custom work and repairs. After seeing how great he was with helping me find my dream wedding band I felt confident to go with him for my fiancé's band and asked him to help me alter some of my mothers jewelry too. I've been to quite a bit of jewelers over the years, almost always I've been left feeling a bit overwhelmed and overcharged. But this time, at Anthony Andrews, I've had my faith restored in jewelers. The owner, Fernando, was most gracious and knowledgeable, he took all the time necessary to explain what needed to be done with my wife's diamond ring as well as explained the pricing necessary to repair it. Upon completion of the repair, which took less time then originally expected, I received a call from Stephanie that the ring was done. When I arrived to pick it up, I told Stephanie that it was great timing as today was my wife's birthday. She immediately went into overdrive mode and not only put the ring in a beautiful box, but she gift wrapped it herself with a shinny bow. No extra charge! I was referred to Anthony Andrews by a friend a few years ago. I have purchased several items and had them redesign several pieces. They have always done a fantastic job. Last month I decided to change my engagement setting and made it into a halo ring. It looks spectacular and went beyond my expectations. The ring was done on time and they were great to deal with. My mother went to their other location in Northborough and has redesigned many sentimental items to better suit her needs. She was nervous about doing this since some of these pieces meant so much to her but they spent a lot of time working with her to come up with great new designs that made her jewelry into pieces that she would wear all the time. This was my worst experience with customer service ever! I dropped off my Citizens diving watch there and was told that it is factory repair only. The store person offered to send the watch to Citizens himself. I agreed. 2 week later the watch was still not sent! Later I had to take this watch to another store. Being under the impression that the watch is on its way I brought another watch for battery replacement. I specifically told the store person Fernando that I need it done rather sooner than later. He replaced the battery in front of me and said that he would give the watch to his colleague to do the vacuum test. According to him it would take couple of days. 2 weeks later I found out that this watch was sent to Citizens! When I confronted him about the situation and demanded the return of my watch he called me pathetic and kicked me out . Meanwhile my first watch was successfully repaired and tested at another Citizens authorized store in the area. Even though the initial encounter with this store had been pleasant, the level of incompetence, neglect and rudeness of this store worker got proven to be stunning. I would not recommend this place to anyone! read more
