I came in either a gift card that I received as a gift for a 2:00 appointment. I check in and said I received the gift card as a gift and wanted you to see what was on it and handed the gift card to the person at the front desk, they took it and said they can't check the balance and just use it to pay when I check out . At 3:00 I got called back for my appointment, and I didn't say anything about the hour extra wait. I go to check out and the girl looks at my card and showed it to the man who I initially asked about my gift card and right away he said they don't take those gift cards bc it was bought at a different location and shows me the ones at this location are a different color, I asked why he didn't mention that as I showed him my gift card earlier and specifically that I wanted to make sure I had enough on it fit the service I requested. I understand they were busy and it may not of crossed his mind but I found it frustrating. I think it also needs to be clearly stated when buying a gift card they don't work at all locations. read more

THE NAIL TECH HERE ASSAULTED ME AND THREW A TOWEL AT ME. PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END. I have a nail salon that I regularly go to, but my gel was peeling and I needed to get it removed so it wouldn't continue to snag on my clothes and hair. I called to make a last minute appointment and they were able to fit me in and I was very appreciative. We started the removal and the technician, Henry, used his e-file to remove the top layer of gel, which was fine with me. Underneath my gel, I had a layer of luminary gel which is just a thick base coat. He stopped abruptly and got angry with me because he thought it was acrylic not gel and he was upset that I booked a gel removal not an acrylic gel. I am deaf, so I started typing on my phone in the notes app to explain that it was a type of base gel and it was only thicker due to my nails needing the extra protection. He grabbed the receptionist to show them that it was "acrylic". I'm not sure why he kept insisting on the fact it was acrylic, but I tried showing him there were no artificial tips and I was typing on my phone. I agreed to pay the additional cost for the "acrylic" removal because at this point it wasn't worth arguing about. He tried to peel the gel off and I pulled my hand away because the peeling action will severely damage my nail bed and I have spent months healing and growing out my nails. He proceeded to grab a sanding band and pushed it down on my nail forcibly and again I pulled my hand away because the base coat on my nail was not acrylic and should not be removed with this sanding band because it will burn my nail bed. I started typing on my phone again due to the language barrier and asked him to please soak it off with acetone because that is what should be done regardless of it being gel or acrylic. He suddenly stood up and shook his head and folded his towel up with the implements in them and threw his towel towards me, aiming for my face. Nearly everybody at the salon was staring at this point and he was screaming but I couldn't read his lips to understand him. The receptionist pulled me away and apologized and typed on my phone back to me saying that Henry did not want to do my nails anymore due to me being unable to communicate with him and "lying" about having acrylics on. I don't know why they were dying on this hill because I had already agreed to pay the additional cost regardless, and it should've been soaked off regardless of it being gel or acrylic as this is what the removal service should be. A very sweet lady named Amanda took care of me afterwards and I appreciate her kindness towards me. The root of this issue was a communication barrier, but I was taking on the burden of communicating myself. He is the one that refused to reciprocate and instead resorted to getting rough with my nails and being physical with me. This entire incident was caught on the security cameras and I am reaching out to corporate and salon management to have the cameras reviewed. read more

I really love the quality of the services I've received here so this review comes with a heavy heart as I've been coming here for awhile now but doubt I will return. I was overcharged today and when asked for an itemization, was told I was being charged for "removal" (I always have the same dip manicure and have never been charged before) and "shape" (not even sure what this means but I didn't change my nail shape nor had additional tips of added). I will gladly pay more for any service that is high quality, as I have been doing at this salon as compared to others in the city (30-40% more overall), but I can't justify paying for additional unwarranted fees. read more

Anthony Vince Nail Spa is typically very clean and leaves me with a pedicure that I enjoy until it's time to go back. 4 stars because you are usually at the mercy of whoever is servicing you at the time (sometimes very friendly and sometimes just there to do what needs done which is fine). You also need to have a CASH tip or Venmo which can be mildly annoying to either need to connect to wifi for Venmo or carry cash on you before going. Overall decent experience every time I've went aside from one person servicing who literally pulled a hang nail off. read more

While the service was great, my light pink gel mani turned an orangey tan the next day. You can see the original color around the edges in the photo I posted. Very disappointing as I was in my sister's wedding that weekend. I removed it the day after because I hated the color. I didn't have a ton of time so they were able to do my mani/pedi at the same time. The mani was a little awkward but it was a great service! The only issue I have is my gel polish started to chip in only three days which made me notice the polish job was clearly rushed bc it doesn't even completely come to the edge in some places and the second coat didn't completely cover the first in some spots. I gave this place another try. Chips and lifting days after. Got a redo. Didn't last a week. The two stars are for the staff being awesome. I dont know if the polish isn't good or what but after three times in a month and I'm having issues I've not had before, I won't go back. Really disappointed with the pedicure I received. I'm not even one week out, and 4 of my toenails have chipped with really no heavy activity. 2 chipped by the next day. I have had pedicures last 2-4 weeks before after being in sand or barefoot, and I have literally been just milling about my house with socks on half the time. While I was there, I felt like I was trying to be upsold the entire time. I also received a gel manicure, and it was one of the sloppiest manicures I've ever had. The nails looked fine, but she left cured nail polish all over my fingers that I had to peel off the rest of the afternoon. Could I have spoken up at the time? Sure, but at the time I thought I wouldn't make a fuss. However, now that my pedicure is falling off too, I'm pretty irritated. This was my second time going to this salon, and had a fairly good experience the first time, so perhaps just the tech (Kim). read more

READ!!!! I don't usually write reviews but when I do it's because I'm not statisfied. I went in Monday, 10/5 to get gel polish done. My aunt and I felt very rushed and the two did not do them very well. My aunt had to go back in right after because they rushed the drying process and her gel polish was smudged and had fuzz sticking to them. 3-4 days after getting my nails done, they started chipping and peeling. Gel polish is supposed to last 2 weeks. Not to mention my nails looked like they were done 3 weeks ago than rather 1 week. I went back Monday 10/12 due to being super busy and got them fixed, they were nice about redoing them but not even 12 hours later 4 of my nails are chipped. I do not recommend this place, at least for gel polish. UPDATED**** went back today (10/13) to get gel polish taken off because I didn't want to waste anymore time. At the beginning Savvy (the manger), told me I could have a refund but that was not the case. I was also told it was my fault because i have "oily" nail beds when they responded to my first review. I have never had nail polish chip that fast unless it was CHEAP nail polish. This is supposed to be gel polish that last 2 weeks!! I also think it's inconsiderate that he sat me down to apologize but told that if I take down the review I can get a refund. Not worth it. Way more expensive than a normal gel manicure, and it wasn't anything special. The girl was making small talk and it was awkward for both of us. When I was done, went to go pay ... $38 for for a gel manicure? Psh. Oh and then went to go leave a tip.. they only accept CASH tip? And conveniently enough have an atm in their lobby, which you can get cash out, in increments of $20 only. So, I asked my girl for a $10, $5 and five $1's .. she comes back with four $5 bills. Awkward, sooo of course I could of just left without leaving a tip, but that's not fair as she did provide a service. I guess I am turned away by their pricing and the ability to leave a tip without having to incur an atm fee from them, AND my bank... overall, my gel mani cost me, $38 (gel mani) + $7 (atm fees) + $10 tip.. $55 .. yeah, nah. The actual gel manicure was decent, splotchy and a couple spots missed on my nails. Won't be returning, that's for sure! read more

Was mostly a joke to get our nails did as it was a last second decision when the boys were out. Service of drinks inside and staff were friendly. However, the person doing our toes didn't show up for mine and I had to wait over 45 minutes for either that person to show or them have a replacement. Gave them another shot due to having an interview and needing my nails done fast without an appointment. The only thing good about this nail salon is they can get you in whenever. When I got there I showed the girl doing my nails a basic set of white nails and she said that she can't do that because she's never done it before. So then I picked out a color that they had available. I sat down and I told her I was trying to grow out my nails using dip and she told me that if I wanted to get extensions she would have to cut them short. I've had dip for a long time now and not one other nail salon has ever told me that they can't put tips on to nails without cutting them short. Beyond that my nails are bumpy, they have bubbles in them from her not brushing the dip powder off all the way before starting another layer, and the sides have no polish on them, She cut me on several fingers will shaping my nails, and I walked out with stuff all over my hands. Once I realized the severity of how horrible they were I gave them a call and asked to speak with the manager. He told me that I could come in and get them fixed and when I told him that that wasn't going to work for me because this is now the fourth time I've allowed them to do my nails and I've been unsatisfied he told me that they don't offer refunds and that he can give me a gift card to go to a different location. He also said that the next time I come in he can get me in with one of their top nail stylist. I just feel like anyone in the nail world should be able to do a basic set of one color dip nails. I got a full set of acrylics with gel polish for a little over $70. On every finger the acrylic powder was dripping down my nail to the table. A long time was spent filing the nails and they were bulky and about as large as my finger. They couldn't offer any glitter or butterfly glitter which I asked for. They only had cheap looking stickers. I got 2 gems on each ring finger instead. They fell off about a week later along with 3 nails. read more

I got French with glitter and the glitter was everywhere and looks messy. The worst part is the girl next to me got the same thing as me, paid before me and hers was $40 some dollars. I get up to pay and it was $106. I asked why it was so expensive. It was $20 extra for the polish I picked (there were no signs and I wasn't told until check out), the shape was extra (rounded) and I have no clue what the other charges were, I just wanted to get out of there. This is the best service I have had for a pedicure. Phu explained everything he was doing and why and showed me how to maintain silky smooth feet at home. I got the A.V. Signature Pedicure. The Sangrias did not come to play either. They will creep up on you. I can't recommend Phu enough! Tell him the lady with the all the cameras and the haircut sent you! I will definitely be back. Very disappointed with my last service. The nail technician was very preoccupied and rushed - not really paying attention to what he was doing. He started by trimming the nails on one hand but not my other before applying tips for my dip nail polish. The tips weren't properly applied and in fact one came loose while I was there.
