A radiant personality and terrific service. When I ordered a Grey Goose martini she asked if I wanted the vermouth. Who does that? When I asked for it "in and out", she knew exactly what I was talking about. Let's talk about the happy hour appetizer slider meatballs on garlic knots. How good were those? We had my coworker Jason's retirement party at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Carle Place and it was honestly such a great experience. I was super busy leading up to it, but my mom worked directly with the manager, Tommy, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating -- he even gave her his personal cell number so she could text him with any questions. That alone made everything so much easier. The day of the party, they had multiple tables set up for our group of 30+ people. Our waitress was an absolute rockstar -- she handled separate drink tabs with no issues, kept everything moving, and somehow made sure no one was waiting too long. The food was delicious, and she kept checking in with me throughout the night to see if we needed more food or anything else. Tommy was there the whole time and made a point to check in with us, which really made us feel taken care of. We ended up staying at the bar until closing, which says a lot about how comfortable and welcome we felt. I'd 100% recommend this location and this team. My review is based solely on the poor experience I had with the staff about them charging the wrong amount to my card. Food was alright. I ordered the 20 wings, and asked how many flavors I could choose, and they told me I could choose 4. They never said this would be any issue at all, said it was no problem at all. Otherwise, I would've chosen fewer flavors (which is why I asked in the first place). Well, at the end of the meal, I noticed they charged me for two 10-wing orders instead, which totaled $38 instead of the $32.99 for 20 wings that they advertised on their menu. When I brought this to them, they were a bit dismissive (saying "oh I could see why they rang it up as such") and flippantly saying "we can re-do the charge if you want" (because they had already charged my card). What do you mean "if I want"? Now you are putting the burden on me to decide if this is worth fixing. Yes I know it is just $6, so I ultimately just left because I didn't want to deal with it while I had my family and young kids with me, but it's just the principle. And yes, we should've checked before giving them our card, but once I reported it to them, I would've expected more along the lines of "I'm so sorry about that, we will get this fixed right away". We had the responsibility of keeping the birthday boy Giuseppe out for four hours before his surprise birthday party at his home on Sunday, May 4 . The 90 minute massage still left just over two hours. Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza & Wings on Old Country Rd in Carle Place came to the rescue. It was a wonderful and fun experience. The steady rain was perfect for the hot food and soup cravings. We were greeted by the awesome Jeremy who seated us and got the 411 and lowdown on the day. So we went nuts and ordered 30 wings, then 30 more; pasta Fagiole soup, spinach n artichoke dip, a tuna platter with salad, eggplant rollatini and another tuna sandwich. If you can picture 4 Gavones at this " mini" just passing the time eat fest before the birthday feast and celebration 2 hours later. Everything was great. The roasted Original recipe wings were something else and the sautéed onions just took them to a whole new poultry pinnacle. The artichoke dip was beautiful and not too creamy. The soup had some crunchy crushed bacon sprinkled on top - Wow! The tuna salad with a lemon zesty dressing was outstanding. Jeremy kept our Diet Coke ( balance the calories) glasses refilled. He was very conscientious and aware and was very cool as we were taking our time. A thumbs up around 5:10 pm and he brought out the birthday cheesecake and lighted candle as two other sweet servers and Jeremy sang Happy Birthday. Awful service - staff disinterested in serving customers. No effort to proactively serve the customer. I saw several tables waiting to be served for 10-15 minutes and servers were just telling them "not my table". My server was horrible - did not come by at all and fill my water glass or ask if I wanted a soft drink refill. He had given me an extra plate for my pizza but when I asked for a 2nd extra plate to make a smaller portion for a my salad, all he said was "you already have a plate" I got the sense he was just lazy to go grab another plate. The staff was laughing and chatting with each other but showed no interest in the customer. There was an elderly couple waiting for a server to take their order; when she arrived, there was no hello, no smile, as if she was so unengaged. As for my server he became confrontational when I told him I was unhappy with the service. He challenged me to go talk to the manager and kept saying "he's right there, he's right there, go talk to him then". No apology, no nothing. This visit to Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza... was in Carle Place NY. The first had been in Bohemia. Yes a chain, and , really good. Their meatballs are cooked in the sauce and are light and tasty. Their soup Pasta Fagioli was yummy and their chicken wing apps were good. Hanna was my waitress. She notes that she has been working there about 3 years. She was so graceful in her movements that I teased that she must do it in her sleep. There is a rewards program via your phone setup. Todays visit had various appetizers instead of one meal. They are conveniently located to me right on Old Country Rd. in a large shopping center with Plenty of parking. Easy in and out of the center too. They were busy (Pi Day) and we did have a short wait and it was totally worth it. You enter a low lit restaurant with lots of music and plenty of electricity among the patrons here. We were taken to our seats and moments later greeted by our FANTASTIC server, Cara. We perused the menu for a few minutes and came up with some wings and a pizza, (not such an original order.) After a very short wait (gain, very busy night,) we had our wing order. I asked Cara not to bring out the pizza until we finished the wings. She smiled and told me that it would not be an issue as the kitch was very busy. Great wings. A little crunch, plenty of sauce and taste. We ordered mild and there was still a nice amount of heat to them. Nice tender chicken. Pizza was out shortly after we finished the wings. Delicious crispy crust pizza with plenty of savory sauce. Toppings were pepperoni and sausage, each on on its' own half. All was good. I am looking forward to a return trip to try some of their other menu items. Loved their garlic knots. Very bready and fluffy. The pizza was good. WARNING! If you get the hot peppers it's hot. Very hot! So be aware if sharing the pizza it will seep into the non pepper side. We got half plain and half with the peppers. And unfortunately the spice somehow seeped into the plain side (we were very careful to not use any contaminated utensils) and it was not a nice sight to see baby with tears. Waiter should have warned us to order separate for little one. Food was good. Nothing special. Nothing bad. Service was the same. Spacious setting. We tried Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza in Carle Place, and I'm being fair with four stars. My uncle had raved about the location in Delray Beach, Florida, and we missed coal-fired, brick-oven pizza, so I figured we'd give this one a chance. The food and ambiance were okay, a family-friendly bar experience (a large bar greets guests on the right upon entering), with different sporting events broadcast on six screens around the restaurant. The atmosphere and vibe reminded me a lot of Bertucci's, before that chain closed. Our waiter Jeremy was a nice guy, but he disappeared for a long time in the back after taking our order. We heard there was an issue in the back area of the restaurant, out of view. It took about 27 minutes to receive the food, spaghetti and meatballs and a large pizza, half shrimp scampi and half Mike's hot honey with burrata cheese. The total bill before tip for three people came out to $47.23, not unreasonable. The food was tasty, but the pizza bottom was burned a bit more than I'm accustomed to. Now, I never shy away from burnt pizza before it's a given sometimes. Especially when it's baked in a brick oven. But still.. I didn't think I'd be paying $50+ for char. Simply put it the pizza was a bit over on the crispy side where you do taste the burnt ends. It was more of a cracker at that point. Again, some may like it. But this was definitely over cooked. They also just put cold prosciutto on top? The Garlic knots was also burnt?! Dry on the inside which makes me think it was just old knots that got reheated then sprinkled some garlic crisp over the burnt ends. The wings was over cooked and heavily salted. I felt like the chef had a day off and just left it to an inexperience cook. Reason why I came here was to get better quality pizza then your average Domino's or Pizza Hut. But after this experience. Anthony's is my go-to restaurant for lunch during work. They are located on old country road, not far from the courthouse and Roosevelt field mall. Today I ordered delivery through their website which was powdered by door dash and cheaper than Uber eats. The meatball Parm is by far the best one I've ever had because it's on focaccia bread and has peppers and a spicy sauce. It doesn't seem like a lot because it looks like a flatbread but trust me, it is veryyyy filling. But bring your water because it has a spicy kick! I also combined this with Buffalo wings. read more

Two pies was good to share with two adults and two young children. Took a while for the pizza to arrive. It was okay; my one gripe was that the crust was a bit too burnt and hard for me on certain slices. Overall the flavor was good and the thin crust was done nicely. I do wish they put more toppings on the pizza. It seemed like a small sprinkling. Coal Oven chicken sandwich - this was surprisingly good. Didn't expect it. I love that it's served on focaccia bread, really brought out the flavors and texture was different than your usual sandwich. Oh how I love Anthony's pizza! I'm actually shocked it has three stars because their pizza is pretty darn good and it's always packed. They are right across from Roosevelt Field Mall and whenever I go out there. I always make sure to have lunch at Anthony's. They had a location in Great Neck, Queens and so sad they closed bc it was close to me. Their pizza is really crispy and tasting, not too oily and not too thick and doughy. I love a good crunchy crusted pizza. Their house salad and wings are also the bomb.com The workers are always so pleasant and attentive. Their restaurant and amenities are also always so clean. This was probably one of the worse pizzas I have ever eaten. I ordered the margharita square pizza as it was marked as Nonna's favorite. I'm sorry I do not believe any Nonna would approve of this pizza. It was like sauce and cheese on a piece of cardboard. They give you a plate to cut the pizza but it's too hard to cut and when you eat it with your hands unless you hold down the one strip of cheese the entire cheese will come off in one bite. Also get some decent music. The music was annoying as hell and I don't mind holiday music but get some decent tracks. I will say this review should have no reflection on the staff. They were very courteous and the pizza was served in a timely manner. I would suggest that they aren't so stingy with the napkins. I have never known even the neatest person to not need more than one napkin to eat a pie. The salad was ok (it's hard to mess up a salad lol). The pizza actually took a long time to come out though.
