Highly encourage trying the seasonal fruit in the lemonades, cheesecake or whatever drinks they offer. Im a huge fan of any of their salmons and will die next to their mashed potatoes. Im usually not a fan of any green beans but these are great. If you love crispy calamaris you should definitely try them here! Anthony's is always a solid pick. read more

We come here whenever we want crab cakes. They are by far the best crab cakes! If you like crab only and no fillers. Big chunks of crab make up the cakes. There is a little bit of breading on the outside and they're served with beurre blanc and plum sauce. The beurre blanc is fabulous. I don't get the plum sauce because it's sweet. It is served with rice that is different than anywhere else and is very good. Price is a little high but for me, it's definitely worth it. Service has always been good. I prefer the Des Moines location over the Tacoma location as far as the crab cakes go. But maybe the one time I went to the Tacoma one the cook was new or something. The Alaska Sockeye Salmon Planked was delicious but served cold and a little undercooked for our liking. The 7 oz Double R Ranch top sirloin was great. With the growing popularity of vegan dining, Anthony's needs to challenge their culinary team to improve the dish that they offer. Service was the worst that I have had at Anthony's at any location. The waitress hung out at a table with two friends rather than focusing on the few tables she had. We constantly had to ask other staff for items that she failed to bring. The ambience was good, looking out to the Puget Sound through the pier. The bar area looked a bit old and while waiting for my drink, there was a spider climbing down above my head. The lunch menu selection was very limited compared with the ones at Pier 66. But the group doesn't want to drive to Pier 66 so this was a compromise. Got Clam Chowder and Wild Alaska Salmon, and both were good, but not exceptional when compared with the same dish over at Ivar's Salmon House. Will probably try Pier 66 location for they have a bigger and better menu selection. read more

Unfortunately I have no pictures because how disappointing the food and presentation was. The $29 Cobb salad was nothing more than a $7 Safeway prepackaged one. It was bland, none of the toppings added much since they weren't individually seasoned, and the size wasn't much bigger than a side salad. I did not like the whole cherry tomatoes, it felt overall cheaply done for the insane price. I enjoyed eating the shells from my uncles Dungeness crab more than the salad. The $10 burnt cream was amazing but for the price I would expect something bigger than a poker chip. We came during sunset so the ambience was 10/10, service 8/10, food 3/10, price -5/10 bathroom was fine, lots of cute couples sitting around so people watching was fun and interesting. We like coming here for brunch. Out of the way a little bit, but right on the water, usually pretty quiet, and the blueberry coffee cake that comes with every brunch is to die for. Pretty much every single Anthony's is the same inside and has the same menu, so, although I've never been to this location for dinner, I know it would be the same as the others most likely. The brunch is why we come. I like is that it is usually quick service, and although the brunch menu is limited, it does have good options for sweet and savory. This is definitely more of an older crowd, so if you are looking for somewhere, then has creative cocktails, loud music, and a millennial environment for brunch, this is not it. If you want to maybe read the paper, talk to your spouse, and have some solid food with a nice view, try it! read more

Our server was very nice and very attentive the place was nice and a beautiful view of the water the food was delicious as well as the dessert. We arrived at about 4:30 Saturday Jan. 25th for happy hour. It was busy but no waiting. We were invisible. I know they were short staffed but we were never acknowledged, no nothing. We sat and sat...two women came in 10 minutes after us and were greeted, given water, and their order taken. I wanted to leave but our son and my husband said to wait a bit longer. Still no one said anything to us. I finally got up and sought out a gentleman who looked like a manager (and he was) and asked him to take our order. I had to get up for anything I wanted and ask for it. The "manager" was doing his best to help us but there was no acknowledgment of us ever from our server. Our bill was $131 including tax and I did what I have NEVER done...I left no tip because we had no server!! I had had lunch upstairs the previous day with a group of women and had a wonderful lunch and experience but I am still smarting about this unhappy "happy hour." read more

Tonight Savannah was our server and she was excellent. She had great knowledge of the dinner menu as well as the drink menu. I would just say buyer beware if you're going to order the filet mignon. I was so looking forward to nice fat steak... I was actually shocked when they brought it out and ask them if it was a joke. This picture actually makes it look bigger than it was. It was about the size of a hamburger patty. I could not believe how incredibly small it was for $49.00. I do not normally complain, and a very rare occasion will send food back. On top of it, it was supposed to be medium to medium rare and it was just medium. I cannot bring myself to pay $50 for something that was just puny with hardly any flavor. I did try one bite just give it a chance but I was too upset. I would've been embarrassed to bring that out. This rating is based the overall experience of a medium-large party. I have never been to this particular location but I typically do enjoy Anthony's. I'm Vegan now so I of course couldn't find anything on the menu for me , but a girlfriend of mine mentioned she saw online a vegan burger option. Probably a good idea to disclose it on a menu for us fellow people. I didn't expect much because I knew I was ordering something that was far from the speciality and I was ok with that. The food did take a pretty long time and I started to fill myself up with the sourdough bread at the table lol that was actually really good! Two girls next to me got medium well steaks and when they came out they looked like hockey pucks (Yikes)! It was like watching someone try to cut through a brick with a spoon. The inside was as dark as the outside. Definitely not medium well. One just said forget it I sat here long enough I'll just eat it. The other tried to eat it but was like this isn't even edible it's so tough. Asked a busboy nearby to possibly get it recooked. The waitress that took the order came out and asked her if she said medium well and she said yes I did but that steak was very well and it was almost as if she was saying "that's what you asked for and that's how we cook it"... it's like cmon a blind man could tell you that steak was now beef jerky and were at Anthony's. They redid it and it was wayyyy better and actually was juicy. She was hap Anywho, beautiful view outside with an old feel inside. Need Gordon Ramsey to come in and give it a nice modern make over. During their lunch service, they do not serve anything other than seafood, so if you were going with somebody who does not eat, seafood, and usually get steak at restaurants, like that, this may not be the best place to go for lunch. We came for dinner for my birthday in May and I felt that service wasn't up to par. The server was checking on all of the people around our table. I ordered a second drink which she forgot and she was going to bring a dessert for me which she forgot but my husband had to ask her for it. I usually have a great time here and the food has always tasted great so I'm sure it was just an off night but we went in for my fiancés birthday this past Saturday and the experience was pretty bad. Our server was pretty busy and I get that but: 1. He never gave us his name 2. We got our drinks 15-20 mins after we ordered them and by that time half the ice had melted and watered down the drinks 3. By the time we got our appetizer of calamari the breading was soggy and the calamari wasn't warm at all. 4. We didn't not see our server from the time we ordered our food until it was time to pay at which time I finally got a refill. 5. We sent a steak back due to being well done when we asked for medium rare. 6. I saved the best for last, 2 people in our party including myself got food poisoning. I fell asleep hugging the toilet and had liquid coming from both ends. I'll say that this is out of the ordinary for this place but there's still no excuse for this kind of experience when we paid almost 400$ for the table. We do not go to the Des Moines location anymore. This used to be a go to brunch location for us. The last three times the eggs Benedict has been raw, not like over eaysy like the egg white is clear raw. This is even after specifically ordering it to be more done. The older waitress is surprisingly not efficient, attentive or accurate in taking orders. The last time we went the parking validation machine was not working. We talked to the manager. He was supposedly fixing it. We were still stuck a half hour later and ended up asking a maintenance man to let us out. I hope they get their act together. So disappointing. We have found much better brunch locations and recommend you do so to. read more

We came here for a date night tonight and it didn't disappoint. The view is beautiful if you get a spot close to the window. Washington in the summer is truly such a breathtaking place. Our waiter was wonderful. Spaced out all of our food perfectly. We got an appetizer and salad to split (coconut Prawns are amazing!!) Then our entrees came right after. The steak was cooked to perfection. I wish I could eat it every night! The dessert took a little while longer than expected, but it's also possible I was just impatient because I was uncomfortably full from all the delicious food I had just ate. The cheesecake was delicious. Melt in your mouth good! We will be back for another date night, perhaps to try the lower level restaurant that has a different menu or try their happy hour! read more
