    Peso baked eggs, yummy!
    Monyca W.

I've been here a few times for breakfast and it never disappoints. I love the pesto baked eggs and my husband goes for steak and eggs. They have an espresso machine so you can get a cappuccino, mocha, or latte. The place is cute and cozy inside, this morning they were playing old 80s music videos on the TV above the fireplace. The staff is friendly and warm. Don't forget to ask about the specials, they often have a few breakfast items that aren't on the menu. I keep meaning to get back here to try lunch or dinner items, but so far I can vouch for the breakfast as solid.

We have come to this spot a few times now. Every time the food and service have been great. The baked pesto eggs is what brings us back but everything else is also very tasty! Hidden gem in Des Moines.

Adorable place and they really mean it when they say dog friendly. Service was great and low-key. No rush but prompt. I've never had baked eggs but it was the perfect breakfast on a rainy day. I had to be out of the house with my little guy and for an hour. So happy we tried it! I will definitely be back.

Ordered via Ubereats. I was getting my hair colored, and in didn't have breakfast yet. Never been to this place, and reviews were pretty good. Said it would take about 35 mins which no problem since it was 1030am. But I didn't get t good delivered until 1230pm. Again I don't have a problem with that since I have to wait for another hour for my color to process. What I did have a problem with is my mocha was very lukewarm, and the avocado toast had no flavor. There was pepper but no salt. I've never tasted such bland avocado toast. I guess the sweet notes cafe in Kent spoiled my tastebuds because theirs exploded with flavor. Also the mocha was a bit watered down besides not being hot. I'm siesta looking for a good place for breakfast. It's a bit far from where I live, but if their breakfast is good then I don't mind driving there to try other items on menu. So hopefully if I go in person, it'll be much better.

Cute and quaint place with unique breakfast items. Good coffee and baked pesto eggs seemed like the one to try if you're new here. Their yogurt in the parfait was very nice, it's a good and healthy treat all in one. Service is good too. Very nice people! I hope they continue to do well!

We stumbled upon this gem while looking for a quick breakfast and ended up having a wonderful breakfast. The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and seated right away. The staff here are incredibly friendly--attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely happy to be there.

A very comfortable seemingly local breakfast place. Dog friendly. My friend brought their dog. We called beforehand and the dog sat quietly under the table on a blanket. Photo of dog next time, lol. The side of scrambled egg was orders for the pup. I had already eaten so opted for the biscuit only with raspberry jam. It was such a fluffy, buttery texture perfectly balanced with the raspberry jam. The PG breakfast was ordered with scrambled eggs, potatoes, bacon and sourdough toast. Nothing spectacular but definitely a solid breakfast. They also have a few pastries such as biscuits, cinnamon rolls and some yummy looking turnover style selections. Apple and cherry I believe. The mimosas came regular style or seasonal. Guava was the seasonal flavor this round. The place was packed and jamming. Excellent vibes too. Families, couples, friends, dogs all welcome. Strange though, when we ordered the eggs, the only option for being cooked was scrambled or over hard. Sort of strange. A tiny parking lot behind the restaurant. I think they might have more offerings on the weekend. Would love to back when I'm hungrier. Enjoy your life! SYOY!

Croque Madame and Split Pea Soup
    Nancy C.

Tried for the 1st time. Has great potential but just not there yet. Got the croque madame - way to much dijon, tiny amount of bechemal, ham was hard (really burnt on the ends), bread was partially burnt: Split Pea soup - excellent, no complaints. Reuben with cesaer salad was ok. Pesto egg bake was excellent. Server said potatoes had green peppers so didn't get because they couldn't be taken out and fries weren't available. The other egg bake doesn't come with potatoes and they charge $4 less. Feel they should have just done a price adjustment. The place is cute. Server was very nice but needs to learn her menu. Took way toooooo loooooooong to get our food when there were only 2 other tables. Probably will try it again.

I am pleased to submit my second review. The food was reasonably good. Our selection included the biscuits, gravy sandwich with bacon, which required additional gravy. While the biscuit was somewhat hard, it remained tasty. My daughter's steak and eggs were pleasing. The Christmas-themed decor was, as always, beautifully arranged. The service was outstanding, and we will return soon.

    Curry lentil eggs
    Angie H.

I found this place on Yelp down by the waterfront. I was staying closer to SeaTac. I drove down around noon and was going to order the pesto eggs. That's what brought me here. That's where I made the mistake & deviated from my plan. The menu was great. The location was quaint and they had just enough tables. There was two staff and two in the kitchen. The coffee was fantastic and hot and fresh. The cream was cold. The only problem with the coffee was I could not get anyone's attention to get a 2nd cup of coffee. It took about 10 to 12 minutes for my empty cup to get filled. When I looked at the menu, I saw this Moroccan lentil curry and it was a light orange, reddish color in the picture and it looked creamy. It reminded me of a curry or a korma. It looked delicious. This picture was what I received. These were green lentils. The ones in the picture were obviously red lentils that were blended with curry. Maybe I'm wrong but I wasn't impressed. The toast was nice and the two eggs inside were cooked hard so basically that's what I ate. Plus the lentils were just still a little harder than I like them. So I had two eggs and toast two eggs and toast For $17 overall I'd go back and try the pesto eggs. I really want to love this place but I just didn't like the dish. And for the record, I love lentils. I cook them and eat them for breakfast all the time they're just more well done.

Baked Eggs with added bacon. Toast with Marion berry jam. And added breakfast potatoes.

UPDATE: 3/24/26... As a Yelp Elite member for 6 years, I…read morepride myself in giving fair reviews, whether good or bad. And with the bad, I strive to be positive on the experience that was good before giving suggestions or letting the owner know what fell short. I'm never out to bash a business. Rather, as an owner, if you pride yourself in customer service, you will take what a sincere Yelp Elite reviewer has to say, step back and see how you can improve. I just read the comments another reviewer posted a few days ago and saw that they were berated as well. I had nothing to gain from giving the review I did and it's unfortunate that you're no longer going to be in business, but there were two other people with me that came to this consensus. With that, I will reply to the unfortunate remarks slammed at me, the reviewer. Let me preface by saying I asked for a pic with the owner before tea service started. If it was said that we had a wonderful and lovely time, it was not by me but one of my friends who, when asked how everything was, couldn't think of anything else to say. Also, I wasn't going to express all of this in front of the owner at the time because I had others with me. So, to rebel and ask me if my mother is still alive and did she teach me to behave like this? Well, all I can say is your reaponse as a business owner is extremely childish and unprofessional. I didn't make the food. I reviewed it and if that means it's not the best review, so be it. It pains me not to give a business owner a good review because that's not what we as Elite members strive for. That said, lashing out is not the answer. At least I have the maturity and diplomacy to put these comments in without getting into a mud fight like you chose to do. Review..... My two girlfriends and I came here for afternoon tea. Since I'm the Yelp reviewer, I asked them for their input and so it was a consensus of the three of us. Here's what went right. It was nice to have a carafe of water at our table, there were beautiful flowers and dyed water to match in the vase, the teacups and saucers were very pretty, the owner was extremely nice. Here's what we thought needed a second look. The sign in the store advertised cheese and fruit for the afternoon tea but it didn't appear. When we asked we were told it didn't come with it but we could get some if we wanted. Please revise the sign as people do notice. Suggest you have a selection of three sandwiches rather than two of each. One was a small croissant filled with egg salad and if we hadn't been told that we thought it might be chicken. The other was a cucumber sandwich which although it's nice to have thin slices of cucumber, these were razor thin. Sort of disappointing that there was so little on a beautiful piece of bread. They scones were nothing special. Perhaps have something inside whether it be cranberry, currant etc. The sweets consisted of a Mexican wedding cake which was rather dry and was there a detection of almond extract? The orange macaron, as beautiful as it was, lacked flavor of orange. I was expecting a nice burst of something but it just wasn't there. The fondant on the petit four was much too thick, and sweet. Whatever fashion the raspberry is used, keep a bit of that tart flavor to offset the sweetness from the fondant. The effort was there, things just felt short.

Good day, Yelpies,…read more There's something quietly remarkable about a restaurant that survives not just decades, but generations of changing tastes--and still manages to feel relevant. This establishment, which first opened its doors in Seattle in 1967 before relocating to Sea-Tac in 1976 under the guidance of the original owner's wife, carries with it more than just longevity--it carries legacy. Its name traces back to Lima, Peru, inspired by Las Trece Monedas--a folkloric tale of a humble young man who, armed with only thirteen coins, pledged unwavering love and devotion to win the heart of a wealthy man's daughter. It's a fitting origin story for a restaurant rooted in perseverance, passion, and heartfelt hospitality. Half a century later, those same values echo through every plate and every interaction. The menu delivers consistently satisfying fare, and the service operates with a rhythm that only comes from years of refinement. But perhaps most impressive is the sheer ambition of it all--executing quality food around the clock, 24 hours a day, is no small feat. It's the kind of operational endurance that deserves recognition on its own. Whether you arrive for breakfast at dawn, a late-night dinner, or anything in between, this is a place that meets you where you are--and feeds you well when you get there. Cheers --The Dutchman
