You know... I was slightly disappointed in our experience this evening. Service was good, attentive and friendly. The food quality just seems meh. Their chowder is bland (I went to Dukes last night and that is where the chowder is at!) The scallops were good and tender. Not really my fave meal. We came here for the first time a few weeks ago before seeing our friends off on their flight back to Arizona. The ambiance is nice, plenty of seating, and the service was good. Sometimes our server would be gone for a while, but another gal walking by was nice enough to help us out with some extra sauces. The food looks decent on the plate, but unfortunately it was all pretty bland. Everyone tasted everyone's food, and we all agreed that the best dish was the miso-glazed cashew encrusted black cod that I got, but it definitely could've used more seasoning. They topped it with a mango salsa (which wasn't listed on the menu for this item). The rice was kind of oily with no flavor. The slaw was runny and flavorless as well. The snap peas were actually pretty good. They were the perfect amount of crunchy but still needed some salt or something. The only other things that we somewhat enjoyed were the desserts and the view. The cheesecake was really good, but the strawberries in the topping were a bit mushy and some even tasted moldy or freezer burnt. To be honest, we won't be revisiting this location. We sat at a table with a beautiful view of the boats, and the stormy waves beyond the break water. Vashon island is across the sound. Our servers were classy, and professional. They gave good recommendations, and brought out food quickly. We were not rushed though! We had their delicious clam chowder, fresh hot bread, a cobb salad and an "excellent lobster roll". The hostess that took us to our seat was very curt. Her tone was anything but professional. As if she didn't want to work on Sunday. Then the server that brings water to the table sets the glasses down pretty harsh and just slides them in front of us. When our waiter arrived, she pretty much only talked to my husband although there was a party of 3. I felt totally put off/ignored. This did not set an atmosphere for a good visit. Then finally it's time for "all you can eat crab". Let's get down to business. The first initial serving looked marvelous. The crab was presentable, fresh and generous. Below is a picture of what was brought out to us a couple of servings later. NO employee was interested in hearing how disappointed and disgusted we were. Three of the 4 clusters looked like this. When I brought it up AGAIN to the waiter since it was time to pay and I had her undivided attention, she said oh those must have been at the bottom of the boiler and the water evaporated. How does this happen? Y'all are hosting and a ALL YOU CAN EAT CRAB EVENT? When the cook put this on a platter to serve to their customers, they should have been embarrassed and cooked a new batch of crab. Has Anthony's HomePort lost their elegance? Came for Happy Hour downstairs as I saw online they had a new (to me) it's been a while, HH Menu, not sure how long it's been in place. Malia was the only one working the entire bar at 5pm but did a fantastic job IMHO of managing tables/groups. We ordered the sourdough bread ($5) to start while deciding drinks. From the HH menu beside bread, we ordered the Lobster roll slider($6 each slider) , popcorn chicken ($6) and Cesar salad ($6) add shrimp(+$4 or calamari if you want) The popcorn chicken comes with a hatch chili dipping sauce which sounds hot but was perfectly creamy to make a nice medium heat and the chicken was lightly coated crispy delicious. 10/10 Lobster slider ($6) 10/10...again remember one slider is given but it was creamy and full of lobster for a small slider..I had to scoop the lobster chunks from my plate back on the bun as it was a slider side but who cares! ..I would definitely come back and order 2-3 over going anywhere else for an overpriced lobster roll for $30 or so, the going rate around Seattle. One slider was enough to satiate my lobster roll craving for the cheapskate inside of me. Caesar salad was dressed perfectly and the addition of the bay shrimp for $4 was bountiful. Several shrimp in each bit of salad. Again 10/10 They were closed because of COVD for a time but I highly recommend anyone who loves seafood and great service come back and try the New and Improved Happy Hour Menu. I got a birthday gifted to have dinner here for my father. When I say poor service I mean they treated us poorly. Dinner reservations were made we got there and was seated in booth overlooking the marine with no table lighting. The server was told the lighting was not well and instead of moving us they made a note to let maintenance know. Not ok! It was hard reading the menu and the check to say the least. All the tables around us with better lighting we was stuck to eat in the dark. The food order was ... steak was to well done! The other items were ok. No photos due to the lack of lighting. We had a great view of the harbor/boats and the nearby island. The service was excellent. Lunch was good, although the calamari appetizer was a little skimpy. I love restaurants with a view of a marina and the Puget Sound. So that part is awesome. The service was professional and efficient. I enjoy that. My food was well presented and tasted very good. I had the shrimp cocktail to start and enjoyed the shrimp with the cocktail sauce on the side.. it comes that way there is an interesting mayonnaise thousand island type sauce at the bottom over the celery foundation. I did not care for that. Yet it did not keep me from enjoying the shrimp. The ceasar salad was a large portion and nice. I had the prawns in butter and although I would have enjoyed more garlic butter it was very good. Then for dessert I had the chocolate w Irish cream. Excellent. Happy hour happiness. 3-6 is happy hour. We sat downstairs and enjoyed their clams, then their mussels. We had a vigorous debate with a fellow patrian on which was better. We ordered off Tuesday menu. We did happy hours, ordered crispy calamari and steamed Manila clams. Calamari and clams tasted fresh. For dinner, we ordered fish but don't like the one with the white sauce. The blacken one was better, it has more favor. The mango salad was good but needed more of that. The warm bread basket was yummy with butter. We did seasonal dessert, it was biscuit not pie crest. It was still good crispy outside and hot inside. Service was good and the view was excellent. 2nd time here recently. Went back for the Valentine's special to celebrate Valentine's Day and step son choosing to come live with us and everything being finalized legally with him. Service was good and meal tasted good, the only reason for the lower stars this time was the small portions for the dinner meal in our opinion. I know this is a seafood place but not much for people that can't eat seafood/Shellfish. I did get fish and chips not bad just ok. Our server was nice but we didn't see her more than 4 times. Not sure if she was busy or just came by when she felt like it. I also know for what we ordered it should have not been $200.00 1 beer 2 ice teas. 2 fish and chips and 1 steak and crap. Went to Anthony's for our wedding anniversary dinner - showed up on a Friday night at 6:30pm in the bar area upstairs. We were brought water right away. It was a beautiful view. A few servers walked by and helped other guests with their bills, brought out receipts, brought drinks out to two other tables, and for 27 minutes nobody came to our table, no eye contact by any server that walked by our table. Perhaps they are understaffed, but after 27 minutes, my husband and I left. So disappointed. read more

My partner and I restaurant of choice before COVID was Budd Bay, loved their wasabi salmon but after 3 terrible experiences in a row we looked for a new location. Which became Anthony's we've had great experiences over last 5 years. However, the last instances have been awful. I tried to provide feedback. I went onto Anthony's website, I posted on Yelp, I posted on Anthony's Facebook page. I was told that I would be contacted by Olympia Anthony's Homeport but it's been days. On April 16, 3 family members arrived to Anthony's at 4:30. I asked the waitress about their halibut special. She told me they did not have the advertised special. I could try their sister location (grrrr). I had been excited to try it for a week. She told me she believed that the cooks could make it. She disappeared and when she returned, she told me they could do the halibut, but they did not have risotto. Instead, I opted for rice pilaf. My friend told the waitress she didn't like shrimp asked about adding steak to her salad. She also told her no mango. She returned saying there would be an extra cost of $7.00 for the steak. When the Caesar salad arrived the 3 small cube croutons were stale and wet. There were no slivers of cheese. The dressing was extremely bland. I left it. It was the worst salad I've received at Anthony's. We waited an hour for our food to arrive. When it did arrive the waiter said, "so you must be the one with all the specials". It hurt my feelings and I felt it wasn't true. I just wanted what Anthony's had advertised. The picture showed 2 pieces of halibut, however what I received was 1 mangled halibut the size of a motel size bar of soap. My friend's salad arrived with shrimp & mango on the salad. The steak was extremely dry and tasted like dog leather. She wanted blue cheese dressing for the salad, while I wanted lemon for my fish. Our waitress didn't come to our table, so after 20 minutes, we finally reached out to the hostess. Both of my friends waited and waited for the waitress to ask for refills on their drinks. They asked on 3 separate occasions for refills. When she finally arrived, my friend asked for a second steak because the one he received was really small. He asked for medium rare but received rare. We had seen 2 separate groups be seated in front of us who arrived after us, served by a different waiter who was very attentive to the guests he was serving. Our server was Brittany H, her service in the beginning was attentive and helpful but after a large group came in, we barely saw her. We had just went to Anthony's Hearthfire a week before and had a bad experience there as well, but this took the cake. read more

Great experience!! We were go hungry when we came, I totally missed pics! We came on a Sunday at brunch. They had signage in the entry area about Copper River Salmon, so we inquired and were able to order that for brunch. After a round of bloody Mary's, our server brought a bread basket to the table and we were delighted to find a blueberry crumble cake with brown sugar butter. Such a wonderfully welcome and delicious surprise. It really impressed our out of town guests!!!! Most of our crowd ordered Copper River Salmon. It was well cooked and really an excellent quality cut, juicy and delish. It was served with cut potatoes and ginger slaw. We all enjoyed the brunch, the views (and the company)!! read more

We ate at this location 3 years ago and I was disappointed with the meal. We thought we would give them another chance in case it was just an off night. It wasn't. This place is terrible. We made reservations for dinner and when we arrived they told us we had to sit in the bar because none of the tables in the dining room had been cleaned. Ok...maybe clean one then? They sat us at a very small table in the bar. I had a steak and shrimp "scampi" only they apparently held the scampi part. Both were tasteless. I would have told the waitress except she never came back to check on us. I had to go find someone to give me condiments. The only good thing about this experience was the view. The upstairs deck is amazing! Marina view and a perfect spot to watch the sunset. My Pear Martini was delicious and yummy. We also had the clams, which actually came with ample bread to sop up that heavenly broth. I've never had a better crab and artichoke dip. Our server was amazing. We had a large family gathering, reservations were made. Anthony's had all the details. They set the room with separated round tables but did join the tables when asked. We had one waitress who was spread thin. She also had 4 or 5 booths outside the room. We did a lot of waiting. Still charged 20% for large group which is fine but hard to swallow when the service isn't there. Drinks were never refilled or even asked(except for water refills once by a non waitress). Our guest went to the bar themselves several times for drinks. Food came but was not Anthony's quality as we know it. The 8 oz Tenderloin had a large amount of grizzly!! I've never had a tenderloin with grizzly. It looked like sirloin like another guest had but the waitress insisted it was tenderloin. Served on cold mashed potatoes. The menu stated asparagus on several entrees but unshelled green peas were served. When pointed out to the waitress the asparagus was brought on separate plates half way through the meal. Halibut and chips had coleslaw served in the same bowl plate and the coleslaw juices was soaked up by the chips and a fish piece on more than one order. Pastas fettuccine was swimming in sauce. The only thing good about this business is the location... We had reservations, we were ten minutes early, waited an extra 20 minutes to be seated. We sat outside, upstairs. Our waitress was the worst ever. The tables were cracked and dirty. The plants were all dead. The chairs are laughable. Everybody on the deck with us were all complaining about the chairs. We ordered a total of 9 dishes. Of the 9 dishes 1 was good. The crab and shrimp artichoke dip. Everything else was drastically underwhelming and over priced. Calamari, mussles, clam chowder, all not good. Sirloin and fried oysters, utterly bland. The vegetables were fresh out a can and popped in the microwave. The salmon dish, again, BLAND. Back to the horrible waitress that never checked on us. For our bland food we were desparately needing pepper. We had to get up, go to the bar, and request pepper because out waitress never came. Dessert, again, epic fail. We did the chocolate moose and the fruit custard thing. Not good. Another thing, our dirty dishes sat on our table the entire time. Remember, we tried at least 9 items off the menu, dishes just piled up on our table and no one took them. Overall, I give this place 1 star for location. Other than that, would not point anyone to eat here given the currently quality and lack of pride in the business. read more
