We did a date night out with another couple at this awesome restaurant. Yes reservations are highly encouraged as they get quite busy. The hostess was accommodating as we wanted a particular server (Melanie). Got seated right on time and Melanie was right there to greet us and get us started with drinks. This is an amazing server as she make the whole experience so much better. The appetizers were great, BBQ Shrimp and Calamari from what I understand from our friends it was very good. The main dishes, Seafood Fettuccine, Scallops, Fish and Chips, and steak were all cooked to perfection. This was a relaxing meal in a casual atmosphere with amazing service. I know there are other locations but you can't argue with the views, the service and amazing food. Head to Point Defiance and enjoy yourselves.

We made a reservation on Google the day before for a late Valentine's Day dinner (the Sunday after Valentine's Day), and even though it was very busy, we were seated relatively quickly, which we really appreciated. We were also given beautiful window seats overlooking Vashon Island, which made the whole evening feel extra special and romantic. I did notice other tables receiving complimentary bread without asking, so I was a little confused when we didn't get any at first. However, once I asked our waiter, she brought it out right away. We started with drinks and calamari. The calamari tasted very fresh, and the sauce it came with (I'm assuming ranch) was delicious! For our entrée, we ordered the shrimp and crab fettuccini. There was a bit of a wait for our food, but to be fair, it was incredibly busy -- and the pasta was absolutely worth it. It was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Before leaving, I ordered the no-bake cherry cheesecake to go. It was on the smaller side, which was a little disappointing, but it was still very tasty. Overall, it was a great meal and made for a lovely late Valentine's celebration. We would definitely come back!

Enjoyed the services and food. Clam chowder is good, and so are the fish and chips. Burnt cream was the best item! It was delicious and so sweet.

We dined in for lunch and were there right when they opened. There was quite the line but it went quickly as the hostess was seating people. The waiter was attentive as well when ordering food. The view was amazing as it was right on the water. I'd say the food was average, nothing that blew me away, but nothing to speak of negatively either. I would go back again when given the opportunity

This review is for the 3 Course Dinner Special! (5/5) HIGHLY recommend. Who says eating out has to be expensive? Anthony's has a 3 Course Meal deal on weekdays before 5:30 for $33! I believe menu varies from each location, please check details before you go! Even though it's advertised before 5:30, I would suggest sitting by 4:45-5. it's an early dinner but for this course, it's worth it! With Seattle Summers coming to an end, my family and I wanted to try this special and we got to sit outside and enjoy a nice view of the water. I had the calamari, steak and chocolate mousse. I was extremely stuffed after. Our server was kind and attentive. I recommend this special to anyone who wants to experience a 3 course meal for an incredible price!

Service: 3.5/5 Food: 3.75/5 Outdoor View: 5/5 The outdoor seating and view here is absolutely beautiful! Parking lot is big and lots of spaces. Our service started out great, but after we ordered our waitress wasn't around much. We had to ask the person that delivered our food to find her so we could get drink refills. Appetizers: cheese curds: 4/5 calamari: 3/5 Entrees: Fish Taco & Clam Chowder: 4/5 - fish inside of taco was good, clam chowder was average Fish N Chips: 5/5 Petite Filet: 3.5/5 - the steak was a good cut, but bland and the potatoes it came with had no seasoning at all

Kristy was a wonderful server. So attentive and polite during our whole dining experience. She was super patient with us as my husband powered his way through the all you can eat crab and even gave him praises when he finished his third set and threw in the towel. He felt like a true champ. Thank you Anthony's for a fabulous date night. Can't wait to come back!

If you want dinner with a beautiful view, Anthony's restaurant is the place for you. This is a seafood restaurant located by the water in Ruston (next to the ferry and walking distance to Owen's Beach). They have both indoor and outdoor dining depending on what's available. They have big windows so you still get a great view of the water if you choose to sit indoors. Great place for celebrations and small groups! It was quite busy for a Tuesday evening. Service was pretty slow, understandably so as our waitress did say they had a lot of graduation and birthday celebrations this week. We checked in around 6:50PM and were told that it would be a 20 min table. We got seated around 7:20PM and waited ~15 min before our waitress came back to take our order. My friends ordered a cup of clam chowder and got it right after ordering -$9/ each. Though, we didn't get our other food until 7:50PM and they were supposed to close at 8PM lol. They forgot our utensils but did apologize because it's been busy and was the end of the day. They make their food to order and have an open kitchen so you get to watch them cook everything. Highly recommend the smoked salmon fettuccine! One of the best seafood pasta I've ever ordered probably. It comes with smoked salmon, mushroom and zucchini in fettuccine pasta and Alfredo sauce topped with grated Parmesan cheese. The sauce was creamy and I liked that they used real grated Parmesan cheese. They also did not skimp on the smoked salmon! 5/5 - $27 My friends ordered the Wild Salmon burger and said it was delicious too -$26. It comes with a side of fries and they separate the vegetable toppings in case you don't want any. They also ordered the seafood Mac and cheese -$33. I thought it tasted good but they thought the crab and cheese was too salty and didn't like that they bit into some crab shells (but hey at least you know it's real crab! :P) I liked the panko crumb as the pasta topping. There's bread and butter available but you have to request it. Food pricing is more expensive but it's also fresh seafood and by the water so it makes sense. I didn't realize this until now but the online menu says a cup of clam chowder is usually $9... but $7 if you order an entree. And we got charged $9 for each cup even thought we ordered 3 entrees :/ There's plenty of parking available for customers. The path to get here can be a little confusing. Make sure you follow the signs when you enter the roundabout and stick to the left lane when going down the small hill or else you'll accidentally get in the lane leading to the ferry lol.

There was nothing on the menu that was vegan aside from (maybe) a green salad. That made things difficult for me, but I made do. My daughter who is a young teenager, ordered off the children's menu because none of the fancier meals appealed to her. She thoroughly enjoyed her seasonal fruit. However, that spaghetti was not typical spaghetti marinara--and she did not enjoy it. I think she took about three bites before giving up. On the other hand, the birthday girl ordered the fish tacos and loved them. It was clear she really really enjoyed them. The waiter was quite nice and it was a beautiful day to sit out on the patio. The location really can't be beat. I recommend surveying the menu and making certain that you can find something you'll enjoy prior to heading to the restaurant. It's definitely a nice place. My husband had the Grilled Romaine Steak Salad. It was our first time trying grilled lettuce, and we were pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Definitely not your typical salad. I also really liked their kids' menu. My daughter's meal came with a fruit cup and ice cream, which was such a nice touch for families. We were seated outside with a beautiful view of the water, which made the whole lunch even better. Between the waterfront setting and how much we enjoyed our dishes, I'm genuinely surprised this place isn't rated higher. We had a great experience and would happily come back when we're in Point Ruston again!

My eggs benedict arrived cold, and the English muffin was so tough that I had to ask for a steak knife just to cut through it. She did bring me a replacement, which was actually warm. Unfortunately, the service continued to be disappointing. Our server brought the wrong sides and never apologized or corrected the mistake. She said she would bring out the correct sides, but they never arrived. We were a party of seven, and throughout the meal it felt like our table was an afterthought which is especially frustrating because a 20% gratuity was automatically added. To make matters worse, they brought out a dessert for the birthday that the birthday girl was allergic to even though she had made her gluten allergy known when she initially ordered her meal. Overall, this was a profoundly suck-ass experience. For a roughly $30 entrée, I expected much better food, service, and attention to detail.

We arrived around 4:30-40ish on a Sunday and we were seated quickly at the patio. They had plenty of seating in the patio and even had umbrellas in case the sun was too much. Luckily it was the perfect weather with a nice little breeze. The hostess offered us waters for our dogs and even asked if they needed one or two bowls. We opted for two bowls just in case as our male dog drinks a lot. We love that the menu was concise and that they had their specials on a little display on the table. I decided that I wanted to try out more of the menu and orders a strawberry lemonade, steamed clams, Bang Bang shrimp, bowl of clam chowder and a S'mores cheesecake to share with everyone. For the entrees, we ordered two of the smoked seafood fettuccine, kickin' chicken burger, and the Connecticut lobster roll. It did take some time for our entrees to arrive so I'm glad I bought the appetizers as we were hungry. However, the drinks were all refreshing and the food was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My only gripe is that the coleslaw was a bit off for me but at least I know to get fries or another substitute. The cheesecake was also a good size and I love that they toasted the marshmallows. The restaurant is clean and tidy with an organized and cozy atmosphere. The tables aren't crammed together and it's not crazy loud at this time of day. City views are great. Probably very pretty at night. Waterfront views are decent, boasting the bridge and beautiful city that lies beyond it. Service is cordial, but not overly friendly. We were greeted immediately upon arrival inside and promptly after we were seated. Seating took about 7 minutes from arrival time and water was brought less than 5 minutes from being seated. We were served by Lavetta and she was absolutely amazing. We ordered the Maine lobster roll and subbed clam chowder as a side for $5 extra. At $37 a plate I had high hopes. We also ordered the seafood dip and two pops. The lobster was stuffed to the gills! It looked very mediocre until I bit into it and realized how much meat was in that little roll. The bread was warm and the lobster perfectly dressed. It wasn't drowning in mayo or soggy with filler. The seafood dip was creamy, flavorful and cheesy. It comes topped with chives, a cute halved cherry tomato and a fresh, warm, crusty baguette. The clam chowder is rich creamy and THICK, but came lukewarm. No clue what their hot holding temperatures are, but this was not giving "fresh from the pot" vibes. With the tip, we got out for about 85$. Pretty pricey but the portion of lobster was worth the price.

At one point, we were stuck sitting there listening to them loudly joke about having female urologists and proctologists--one word: GROSS. Speaking up doesn't feel like a safe or worthwhile option--it just escalates things. The bar could absolutely keep its charm while still evolving into a more comfortable, modern, and inclusive space. Then there's the menu situation--multiple menus stacked in front of you like a paper shuffle. It's unnecessary and could easily be streamlined. Now, the drinks... this is where things really fell off. Harbor Lights used to be known for strong drinks--that reputation feels long gone. I ordered a vodka-based drink and it went down like juice--no taste, no kick, nothing. When I asked for a double on the second round, the bartender laughed and said all their drinks are doubles and that they don't measure, claiming there was 2 1/2 oz of liquor in it. We watched him make it: no measuring, just a free pour over ice, stopping well short of the top, then filling it with rhubarb-strawberry purée. When it arrived, it felt more dropped on the table than served. I gave it a fair shot--a big sip--and again... no vodka taste whatsoever. No burn, no effect. I know my liquor, and this didn't add up. It really makes you question what's actually being poured. And then... the shrimp cocktail. How do you mess this up? This was the one thing I could always count on. It's always been unique and consistently good--but this time? Way too much horseradish. Completely threw off the balance. I still ate it, but it was not the same experience at all. Overall, this visit was disappointing. Between the uncomfortable atmosphere, lackluster drinks, and a once-reliable favorite falling short, Harbor Lights just isn't what it used to be.
