Hub City is soon to become one of my favorite micro breweries in the region. Firstly- you walk in to what is a MASSIVE indoor space. Seating options are endless making it perfect for big groups or finding your seat faaaaar from anyone else, or live music if you prefer to be seated further away. The interior design is industrial and the lighting from the warehouse is just right! A HUGE bar in the rear center of the space waits with "Hub City" in beer kegs over top! Don't forget to look at all the plants- they're for sale (The Garden at Creep Hill). What makes this brewery unique is that it doubles as a distillery! Perfect for the couples/groups that don't always have a beer drinker. You can choose from beers, cocktails, tastings, and even bring home a bottle. While we only had two of the same beer each, there's plenty of options to choose from. We will absolutely back!

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. The place is very big so you can stretch out. It was also not very crowded. It's a brewery and a distillery all in one. We were greeted at the door and the young gentleman behind the bar explained everything to us. The beer was excellent with a great selection to choose from. They also have mixed drinks as well as food on site as well. It is in an old warehouse building so it's a little cold inside, dress appropriately. Easy parking out front.

Came by to grab a beer with my brothers. First off very pleasant and easy to converse. Staff is great and friendly which makes it easy to work with. Ended up getting a couple IPAs and my brother's something else which we all loved our drinks. Had a great time. Went on a Sunday so no live music but maybe I might drop by again. They had a wide variety of drinks that it's pretty difficult to be upset. Totally would recommend dropping by here ! Didn't make it on time for the food sadly ! But next time for sure ! Easy parking too !

Great selection of beer and mixed drinks! The service was spot on and the decor and atmosphere ties together old town Hagerstown perfectly.

My order is always correct, which says a lot, and they genuinely try to accommodate special requests--even on takeout and delivery orders. The food is always flavorful and delicious no matter how you get it. The 3-item combo is such a great value -- generous portions, tons of variety, and everything on the plate is always spot on. And the fiesta nachos are one of our favs! Loaded with chicken, beef, and shrimp plus basically every topping you can think of. I also really appreciate that they include complimentary chips and salsa, even with takeout and delivery. It's such a nice touch and shows they care about their customers. On top of that, their prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you get. This has definitely become one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend! Ambiance of the restaurant is nice, lower lighting, and there's also a bar. So you can enjoy a delicious margarita if you're dining in:) the bar area is also kind of separated from the dining area too, if that's something you care about.

Ordered the lunch portion chimichanga with ground beef filling with sides is rice, refried beans some Pico and sour cream. Pros... it was a decent sized chimichanga with a generous amount of seasoned ground beef in a taco seasoned sauce. The server (Gizelle?) was friendly and very attentive. She did a great job! Not so great... the chimichanga was rather tough. Took more effort that mermaid to cut into it with a fork. The filling as noted was generously filled, though the added sauce mace the filling rather "saucy"... more like a Mexican sloppy joe. Including tip and a soft drink my bill came to $20 for lunch. You really can find better lunch spots for the money.

Our server was awesome too. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome without checking on us every two minutes. I also found out they have live music on Friday and Saturday nights. I'm happy to say the food's as good or better, with good service in an interesting setting. On crowded Massey boulevard with its strip malls and chain restaurants, it takes a keen eye to pick out this spot (hint - look for the Hobby Lobby parking lot). Then get ready for some unusual decor - the last occupant, a seafood place, did a LOT of intense decorating, including ocean-blue floors and dock pilings. We've visited this location 3 or 4 times now, and the food's been fine, partly out of our sentiment for the gone Frederick location. It's not hard to find Latino cuisine around here, but Mexicali had some of our favorites, including the delicious chiles rellenos (here, fried battered chilis, stuffed with cheese). When we went last week, it seemed clear they'd recently stepped up the game a little - new dinnerware and maybe even larger portions, and just as tasty if not more so. As usual, the chips were crispy and good (though our basket was mostly fragments) and the house salsa is a treat, fresh and zippy but not too hot. I had my go-to Azteca combo, with that chile relleno, a pork tamal, and a chicken enchilada, along with Mexican rice (though no beans this time, for some reason). My wife chose her favorite shrimp fajitas, also with beans and rice, though maybe a little skimpy on the bell peppers this time. My classic margarita on the rocks was big and zesty. Our server was attentive and polite. The crowd was thin on this Saturday night, so there were plenty of staff on hand. In an area with tons of Latin food choices, we depend on the consistent flavor and service here. Bueno!

We ordered a couple of Pacificos and they were amazingly cold. The waitress was beautiful and so courteous. We ordered some chori-queso, lengua and steak tacos. It came with rice and beans. The lengua was perfectly cooked and crispy on the outside. The flavors of the steak and lengua was out of this world. Not to add, but the individually packaged sauces were delicious as well. We will definitely be back.

I came with a friend and, even though I'm not usually a pupusa fan, I didn't want to sit there without ordering. I figured I'd try one and take the rest home to my son. I ordered three pupusas, starting with the chicken and cheese one--and it was amazing. I ate the whole thing... then the next two! They were so flavorful and well-priced. The host mentioned they also have a Spanish nightclub downstairs on nights and weekends, which adds to the cool vibe of the place. We ended the meal with dessert. I ordered the flan, which I didn't care for--it was too firm and just not my taste. (I make flan at home, and mine's better!) But the other dessert we tried, pictured, was absolutely incredible. I'll definitely be back for the pupusas and the atmosphere--just skipping the flan next time.

This Papi's looks good, but tastes only "ok"…read more We were tired on a Sunday early-evening, (Jun 2026), and the staff of the Big Papi's location in Hagerstown seemed unmotivated, maybe worn out from towards the end of their day. We got a birria taco, a rockfish taco, a vegetarian burrito, and a guacamole. The fresh-made guac was quite good! Creamy, fresh, and generous. The Birria taco was good. Flavorful and tender and generous. But inexplicably they did not include a side of consommé sauce for dipping. Lots-of-sauce is a key part of a messy juicy birria taco. That would have just been a disappointment. But the fried rockfish taco, meh. It tasted fresh, but it tasted like something had burned in the oil. The fish seemed too chewy, overdone. The coating was overly-hard. The bean and rice burrito was also meh. The dull rice seemed too chewy, either overdone or cooked until it was too dry. And there were only a small amount of black beans, and no added veggies, so there was little flavor. Overall, we were disappointed in the Big Papi's location in Hagerstown. For over $35, we only liked $8 of the food. What was good, was very good. Maybe they were just having a bad evening. We might try Big Papi's again, but probably not this location.

Our server barely understood English, and even simple questions turned into a whole situation. I asked FOUR separate times whether the spicy salsa was free. I literally said, "If it's free, I'll take it. If not, never mind." The server kept saying yes, it was free... so we ate it. Then the check comes out with a $3.99 charge for the salsa When I asked why it was charged after being told multiple times it was free, the server still kept saying "free" while staring at the receipt. At that point I had to ask for the manager because we were clearly not communicating. The manager said there was a "language barrier issue," BUT because we already ate it, we still had to pay for it. That part honestly blew my mind. If I asked about the price four times before ordering, clearly the whole point was that I didn't want it if it cost extra What made it worse was the attitude. The server never apologized once and the manager acted super confident like this was somehow normal. And honestly... the food wasn't even worth the drama. Everything was ridiculously salty, and the salsa tasted like someone mixed it with water. Cool interior. Terrible experience. Definitely not coming back.
