Ok so 2nd time, we were a family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers. The food was excellent and the service was good. I was not then and still not now happy with the 20% forced gratuity that came out to be $70. I have never, ever, ever paid that for a dining tip unless it was to a caterer. I just think its poor business practice to force me to pay 20% to take my order and bring our food. I did not want to make a scene since it was my Daughter's birthday and she picked the restaurant. A $40 tip would have been sufficient and I would have left feeling I tipped well not got taken to the cleaners. read more

Lacked a hero (including the shrimp which was inconspicuous). Mushroom taco: DELICIOUS. Extremely rich mushroom flavor. Tuna tartare taco: meh. Ovrely rich crispy shell overpowered the tuna and made what should have been a light dish heavy. Kids Mac and cheese: pretty good! Our daughter loved it. Shoestring fries: I've just never understood the draw. They're always very quickly dry and cold, and these were no exception. Sweet potato fries: solid. Ambience: obnoxious trancy dance music. We went here for lunch during our day in downtown Estes Park. We are big Mexican food fans so the choice was easy. The first thing to know is that you walk up several flights of stairs to get to the restaurant. It is not a big deal but if a person or group has accessibility problems it is something to keep in mind. The restaurant is attractive but divided into several small spaces. What I presume is the main dining area is actually pretty small. Most of the seating is outside, and they do sell rooftop seating. We chose inside because the weather looked ominous and sure enough, what would have been the half point of our meal there was a huge torrential downpour with hail. So we made the right decision. The flatware is a very attractive Mexican style, I wish I had taken a picture. The food was excellent. We started with an order of guac. The portion is small but it was very flavorful and tasty. Everyone liked it. The wife had mushroom tacos and loved them. The mushrooms were extremely well-seasoned and flavorful. The best she ever had. I had chicken tacos and they were small but probably the best I ever had. The chicken taco is $3.95 for a street-sized taco. They too were very flavorful. I also tried the empanadas. You get two for $14.95 and they are not large. I tried one beef and one cheese and spinach. The beef empanada was a bit greasy but the cheese/spinach was excellent and not greasy at all. I had the Sole margarita and it was excellent and nicely priced at $12.95. The wife had the Oaxaca old fashioned with mezcal and loved it. I think it was $18. Our server was friendly and professional. Very good service. Overall, we liked this restaurant very much and if we lived in Estes we would be regulars. We visit Estes Park every 2-3 years so we look forward to coming here again in the future. read more

This place sits on 3rd floor-so be ready for some exercise at 7000 feet. The staff, service and location are excellent. Located at a central location. The second floor interior was amazing and a great place to celebrate. The food was really good. We tried the Shrimp Aguachile (4.5/5) and Tuna Tacos (4.5/5) both were excellent. Great quality sea food. We tried the chicken and shrimp Tacos both were good. The drinks and desserts were also great. Our server was warm, polite and attentive. Overall a great place in Estes. I would highly recommend this place and would go again. There is paid public parking and it's free after 5pm. read more

Everything from atmosphere to food to service was great. We had a great weather so we were able to sit on the roof and it was awesome. If it was bad weather they have plenty of indoor seating, but a nice day allows you amazing views. The food was stellar too. The chips and salsa and guac came with not enough chips (they got a little too fancy with the chips... sometimes simple is better). Could be crazy on a busy holiday weekend, but highly recommend. read more

My boyfriend and I were only in Estes park for one night and I happened to spot the cool rooftop of this restaurant from the street. I figured it was a long shot to get a table as it was a beautiful night and the place was busy. The hostess told us it was a 15-20 minute wait for the rooftop and I was skeptical. They delivered! Within 20 minutes we were seated and the view of the mountains was exactly what I wanted. All of the staff were wonderful and our waitress, Matea, was fantastic. She suggested the homemade tortilla chips to start and they were unique and delicious. I highly recommend the Sole burger and the creamy lemon margarita! Both were outstanding. Usually restaurants that have an amazing view lack in other areas because they know people will come for the ambiance, but not this place! The first thing you should know, this is not really a Mexican restaurant. Very few items to actually choose from, mostly tacos. It's changed ownership in the past couple of years. The staff was very friendly and attentive. One thing that was a little bit odd most of the staff was Eastern European. I don't have an issue with it, but if it seemed odd. Our waitress Matea was very sweet and attentive. We were going to leave, but she talked us into staying. We decided to get the queso and the Mexican burger to split. Everything tasted excellent. My margarita was fabulous. We were just disappointed because we were looking for more traditional Mexican offerings-burritos, etc. But I guess we should've read the menu before going in. Upon entering the hostess seemed very frazzled and confused. She finally got to us and we communicated we would like to sit at the bar in some shade. Upon entering the bar upstairs, it was really nice. Big hick up is that there is no seats the shade except on the end. The bar staff and drinks were outstanding! Great mixologist and selection from the guys. The food was another story... we ordered the chips and queso with chorizo and it was like warm. I order 3 different tacos and my husband ordered the Mexican burger. It was ok, nothing to write home about. BUT when they were delivering our food, the waiter tripped on something and dropped our food all over the bar area. So we had to wait longer for our food. Service was great. Wait staff friendly. BUT, portions were small for the price. If you want a hearty Tex-Mex meal, this isn't the place. Views were not that great on the rooftop, and it's quite a climb up the stairs - not to mention dangerous!! Warning: as we were leaving, I had a bad fall and ended up with a severe ankle sprain. The floor transitions are uneven, so be careful!! I was in flat sandals and still had a fall. It was 20 minutes before a hostess noticed and brought me ice for my ankle. The food is a fresh take on Mexican cuisine and the multi-level spaces with a beautiful view of Estes Park and the snow-topped mountains in nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. Apparently they just opened this place (Summer 2026). The rooftop presents a cool dining option, the view was nice and they had a nice courtyard for when the weather might be too hot. Ambiance feels like a high end place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was generally tasty. I liked the spinach & cheese empanadas, even though it felt a bit deep fried, and they were generous with the meat in their tacos, but dishes didn't taste very Spanish or Mexican. More of an "inspired by" type. They should also try using double tortillas for their tacos, they all fell apart in our hands. :) read more

This rooftop Mexican place has changed owners many times, and the new owners are doing everything right. Rooftop atmosphere is fantastic, as is the service. Our waiter, Saul, was very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Prices are on par with other restaurants in Estes. We had chips and salsa ( the one comment I would make, as the chips are small fried flat tortillas, the darker brown ones were not as good as the lightly fried ones, salsa very good) a couple tacos (very good) and a chicken wrap with shoestring fries (very good) and churros with caramel and chocolate sauce (outstanding). We had a regular marg and a prickly pear one. Both delicious. Fun new place this local will frequent. read more

I had the avocado, creamy lemon, and prickly pear margarita's (they are small drinks, don't judge). The avocado was by far my favorite! I had the ahi tuna, pork, and shrimp tacos. We were in town for 2 nights and wanted to give this place a try, especially for the rooftop atmosphere. First, we had an amazing waiter named Saul. He was kind, and continued to check on us throughout our time there. He also recommended some things that we should try, which we were so glad he did! We ordered the queso, salsas, the shrimp and brisket tacos, the corn ribs and creamed corn (which were amazing), and topped it off with the prickled pear margarita and the lavender margarita. The lavender margarita was the best I've ever had! I would definitely recommend this place! Just a side note though..... there are a lot of stairs to climb. We didn't see if there was an elevator.
