This is our second time visiting Twin Owls during our Memorial Day vacation! And never a bad experience! We had the pleasure of having Colton take care of us and he's amazing: efficient and great suggestions. I had the prime rib and my husband had the bison ribeye! We'll see you all next year! Colton even offered to take our pics!!

A wonderful place for our anniversary dinner this weekend! We are always greeted with a smile when we walk in to Twin Owls Steakhouse. We got there a little before our reservation time and had a chance to sit at the bar for a pre dinner cocktail. Thad was behind the bar last night and was so welcoming and nice to talk to. I had the Paloma which was tart and refreshing. We were seated at a table by one of the big windows overlooking Estes Park. The views are always beautiful and sometimes you get lucky and get to see some wildlife. Our server was fabulous, I wish I could remember her name. She explained the menu, told us about the specials and wished us happy anniversary. We started with the smoked salmon crostini. Crisp crostini with lemon caper whipped cream cheese and smoked salmon, topped with fresh raspberries and micro greens. So delicious! For dinner we shared the 22oz porterhouse special. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We added the chimichurri sauce and had asparagus as the side. For dessert I had the carrot cake and my husband had the house made cheesecake cake, yummy. Twin Owls is one of our favorite places to eat while in town and they never disappoint.

View from our table. Not bad!

This place is stunning. I celebrated my birthday here and it was wonderful. The views were magical, the drinks were delish, the service was top notch, and the food was amazing. I had the filet mignon "twin sister style" (at least I think that was what it was called?). Cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Tip: make a reservation and request a table by the window-if you're lucky you'll get one!

This experience is amazing! We can't stop coming here! Literally the best steak house in Estes. Seasoned well, does not need salt and they always cook correctly. Wait staff is friendly and so very attentive. House made deserts are amazing as well! Very good wine list to fit anyone's budget. Restaurant is beautiful and the Mountain View's are amazing!

We celebrated my husband's birthday with a stunning panoramic view, warm live music, and excellent service. The elk kabobs, filet mignon, baked brie, crab salad, and cheesecake were standout dishes. Friendly staff, a dessert discount, and a surprise drink treat from a fellow guest made it feel like magic. So glad we chose Twin Owls--every detail made us feel special.

Food was fine and ambiance was fantastic. For the price, will try another tea in town next time.

My party of two made a reservation for 7:15 PM to see the sunset but realized that sunset was actually a few minutes before 7. So, we showed up around 6:30 PM to see if we could be seated earlier, and the host was very accommodating. We took a seat near the windows, and the outside view was spectacular. By the time we sat down, the mountains were already dark, and we missed the sunset, but it was very nice regardless. One of the reasons we wanted to dine at Twin Owls was to try elk meat. We started off with elk kabobs and French onion soup. The marinade on the elk kabobs was very good, and the meat was so juicy--much better than I had originally expected. The meat reminded me of Korean bird. The French onion soup was also very good; I really liked it because it was a little more watery compared to what I've had at other places. Then we ordered the elk sirloin and the Twin Owls burger with goat cheese. The burger was really good with the goat cheese, but I particularly liked the fingerling fries as a replacement for ordinary French fries. We ordered the elk steak medium-well, just in case it might have a weird odor, but the steak was marinated in a way that it had absolutely no odor, and the meat was very juicy and tender, despite having little visible fat content like beef. We also had two different locally crafted beers, which were great as well. Out of all the dining experiences I had in Denver and Estes Park, Twin Owls definitely topped the list, and I'd love to come back on my next trip to try their bison steak.

Beautiful and simple ambiance. Shared so many delicious things! Burratta, ribeye, asparagus, Brussels Sprouts and crème brûlée. Crème brûlée was on the verge of being over done. Otherwise everything was so good! Including the service! Thank you

The buffalo bone in ribeye was perfect. Service was good and the ambience of wild deer and elk grazing below is and the snow covered mountains in the background was absolutely amazing.

Let's say something positive first. Magnificent view. Friendly service, Food was mediocre, smallest portions ever, expensive for what we ordered. Brie appetizer could be made at home and taste better in a wonderful Boulle. The Brie was served with 3 little croutons and was not what I was expecting The ribeye was tasteless and the special ,blackened red snapper was the size of my palm .No bread basket but for $3 you can have two rolls with butter. This place is sitting on a beautiful piece of land and could do so much better.,. I would not come back ever again. 3 stars was generous. Okie was a very nice waitress. The ice tea was the best thing I ordered. Going now to get a snack .

    Prime rib- medium rare

Beautiful spot! We sat by the window- it was like our own nature movie as snow came in, rainbow, then sunset and wildlife moving across the way. Daniel was a great waiter giving recommendations for our first time visit. Live music was great. Elk, Bison, Prime rib, carrot cake. I think we did good, all delicious.

The corner table is the best seat! Beautiful views.

I slept about 4 hours the night before to make it early for sunrise. To say that a few tasty beers were what the doctor ordered would be the understatement of the century! None of this matters, of course, to the good folks at Rocky Cut Brewing Company. This is off the main drag of Estes in an unassuming strip plaza. Humble vibes inside, a simple U-shaped bar top with seating all around, a few smaller tables, a community table, and a large patio with mostly picnic table seating. If you're lucky, snag a stool right along the Big Thompson River! Though, I recommend they fix the wooden placeholders for beers, they're leaning on the wrong side of history, we don't want any full glasses of beer reaching an unnecessary demise! Interference IPA * American IPA * 6.7% * 16oz ($7) From their website: "Climbing the Interference Boulder in Rocky Mountain National Park requires strength and power. This Colorado IPA showcases the power of hops with an intense blend forging citrus aromas with a pine forward finish. Featured ingredients: Cascade, El Dorado, Mosaic, Chinook, & Simcoe hops * Recommended adventure: hiking Black Lake, climbing the Twin Owls, skiing upper Hidden Valley." A perfectly apt description. I would summarize this beer just as they did, focusing on hops, citrus, and pine. Absolutely delicious, a memorable IPA in recent memory. I liked it so much I ordered it again and it tasted just as delicious the second time down! They also had a food truck outside, so safe to assume they do this often. Would love to try more of their beers during my next visit. Rock Cut, I see you!

After one of my go-to nearby restaurants closed down, I decided to venture here for a burger. This place rocks! Boss Burgers and Gyros reminds me of a classic dive that we all know and love. Nothing fancy, no frills, no fuss, no pretentiousness, just tasty food at an affordable price. You order at the counter and the cashier gives you a table number. Plenty of outdoor seating with some indoor seating as well. This place gets pretty busy, but the staff hustles. Kitchen is cranking out relatively quick ticket times so you don't have to wait that long at all. For a cheeseburger with bacon and jalapeños and an order of cheese fries, this was $14 and change. And I added the bacon and jalapeños to the burger! In Denver, this would be $25, haha. The cheese fries (small) were really enough for two people. So you get your money's worth after a day exhausting yourself at RMNP. Burger was great. I added some mustard to mine at the table. It comes with LTO, ketchup, and mayo. This tastes like what you want at a backyard BBQ. Served on a red plastic tray with paper lining, this mom and pop place dishes humble food without breaking the bank. Bacon was crispy, cheese was melty, I had no complaints! Only knock on the cheese fries were that they desperately needed salt. It's not the best burger place of all time, but it doesn't need to be.
