Our server, Sue, was super friendly and attentive! We came in a party of 6 and ordered 1 peach soju, 1 beef platter, 1 pork platter, a stew, and a plate of marinated short rib. It was around $55 per person and we left feeling satisfied and full, but not stuffed. As for the progression of meats in the platters, the first few were good, especially with the banchan, but not super tender. The marinated meats, on the other hand, were the table's favorites as they were super flavorful and tender (which is why we ordered an extra plate). I wish the banchan was refilled more regularly- we finished them pretty quickly and asked for a refill a while after we finished them because we felt a bad. Unfortunately they don't have lettuce leaves, but the banchan they do have is really good. Usually I don't like the white stem of the cabbage in kimchi, as it's super tough and fibrous, but it was more tender here. My favorite banchan would be the dried seaweed and the macaroni salad (which is always good). We were sat on the second floor, where the tables were slightly distanced, but on the first floor there was no social distancing (between tables). However, the wait staff did wear masks the whole time! At the end of the night we got free cheesecake for posting a review, and free drinks. Came here because the Jongro line was long and thought we would have better luck here. This is definitely a more expensive bbq experience we got the kalbi, pork belly, and the half and half wings. Kabli: really juicy and flavorful. We had a lot left over Pork belly: I liked the fact that it was sliced and the meat to fat ratio was even. We cooked til crispy and filled up on the pork belly before the kalbi was cooked. Fried chicken wings: we got the half and half soy garlic and thai chili. I was expecting the wings to be battered like korean fried chicken wings, but they were more like regular bar wings. I wouldn't recommend the wings here. For 2 people 2 servings of meat was more than enough. The service was great for the most part til the end it was hard to find a server for the check. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because we ordered the egg soufflé and there were egg shells in it. Both of us had egg shells in our servings. If it was just once, I could see it happening. But literally every bite I was taking had egg shells crunching. It was so unpleasant. Our server apologized and took it off of our bill, so that was much appreciated. Another quality spot in K-Town. My friends and I came on a Wed around 9:30pm, strolled right in, and were seated almost immediately. A quick glance at the menu led to some disappointment when we learned there is a two-item minimum for KBBQ. We were hungry but not starving, so we decided to skip it altogether. :( Instead, we had the Galbi Jjim/Maewon Galbi Jjim (braised beef short ribs), vegetarian Kimchi Jigae (kimchi stew), Gopchang Ttukbaegi (spicy intestine casserole), and the Michelin-recommended Gyeran Jjim (egg soufflé) with mushrooms. Overall, the flavors were solid. The dish I was most excited about (the egg soufflé) was a little disappointing; I thought it paled in comparison to the standard steamed egg banchan, which actually wasn't offered here, prob bc it would be in direct competition. Came here on a rainy Saturday night around 11pm. There were lots of tables open so we were sat right away. We checked in on Yelp to get the free beer, and ordered the kalbi as well as the pork belly. I wanted to order the egg, but I didn't see it on the menu and wasn't sure if it was offered as banchan, as Baekjeong, Jongro, and other KBBQ spots do; so we waited. After receiving our banchan we didn't get the steamed egg, so we decided to just ask for it the next time we were in. At the beginning the service was good. They were attentive, but almost to a point where we felt rushed. However this was not how we felt at the end as it took a good 10mins for us to get someone's attention to get the check, this was us, of course, not wanting to be rude about it by getting up to ask or etc. Just sitting waiting for someone to notice our hand slightly up. At most kBBQ places they will refill your banchan if they see it getting low, and this place did not. We had to ask multiple times. After we requested a refill on some of the banchan, we waited again, and realized that the guy completely forgot. So we had to ask two other people before it was remembered to be brought over to us. We were also only offered rice half way through eating the pork belly. We probably would've wanted one at the beginning of our meal, but at that point we were only a few pieces away from being done. The ambiance is nice, and the restaurant was very clean. The banchan was yummy, especially the scallion salad. A big positive is that we LOVED the meat here. The kalbi was great, except for the (really) hard pieces of gristle...which took away from it. The pork belly, however, was PERFECT. It is the best one we've had in the city, and if I had to base my rating solely on their pork belly they'd immediately get 5 stars. But the pork belly's greatness wasn't enough to make up for all the other mishaps, only enough for me to give 3 stars versus 2 stars. Great atmosphere and service, the waiter actually started cooking the wrong meat for us by accident (they caught the error while I was naively thinking that I was relying too much on the photo and the meat ordered was correct) and let us eat what had been cooked without any issue of extra charge and brought to out the correct meat. It's a good spot to take visiting friends to. The tables are nice sizes so you won't be squished, the drinks are good and they use real fire for the grills. The prices are a higher than normal but it's a great spot for a nice night out. Some tips to note: They will cook the meat for you. This may be different if you're from a another state but don't feel as though you have to wait for them to come by each time you're ready for more, especially if they're busy. Some of the meat is thicker than what you may be used to and may not come seasoned. They'll give you some pink salt and two sauces. I like to crush the pink salt with the spoon so it's finer. The meat are also large servings and more than enough to share for 2 people. You will be full. The banchans (sides) are really good and you can ask for more The wings are good too but since they're Korean style, they take longer than normal and may come out after you receive your meats. You'll have to ask for rice if you want it. One bowl is enough for 2 people. Have fun and enjoy! read more

Looked up a Korean restaurant for nangmyun. We ordered the beef combo fork two and four cold noodles since we had been eating small meals throughout the day. It was hot and humid today, so thought a cold nangmyun would hit the spot. 1) beef combo was good. The first meat was very tender, think it was kalbi. The steak was cooked medium, but not as tender. The other two were ok. 2) nangmyun was NOT good. Had a weird sweet taste, not cold as it should be. Didn't even have ice in it. Not enough radish, sliced cucumbers looks like someone had sliced them very thin and squeezed them right before placing in the bowl. Plus, we had to ask and wait for the vinegar and mustard several times before finally getting the two small bottles to add to the noodles. They should of come out along with our bowls. I would go back for the meat, but not the noodle. Service was slow, tables on the third floor were too close together. Came here for a double date on Valentine's day, they sat just pretty much when our restoration was and our seats were pretty spacious. The place itself is pretty big, they have a top and bottom floor and all the tables are pretty far from each other so you dont feel like you are eating on top of another party. We got a bunch of different items ranging from meats to regular foods. -Modeum So Gui : this was their beef combo and in my opinion this was just okay, nothing special. -Samwon Galbi: AMAZING, the beef was soo flavorful and it just melted in your mouth -Egg Souffle: Another hit! It was super fluffy and yummy -Kimichi Fried Rice: This was also super tasty and I highly recommend this, it is on the spicy side so if you cant handle spicy, maybe pass on this. They also have a very affordable deal for a pitch of beef and a bottle of soju for $20 with check in which is pretty cheap for this area! The service is also really good! Our server was really friendly and nice. At one point, a portion of the grill fan fell onto our meat and they immediately apologized and replaced our meat right away. They were giving complimentary sangria, which we really liked. Ordered 2 glasses but holy moly they were $18 each. Maybe get the pitcher instead. I heard great things about this kbbq spot so I decided to check it out with a friend. It definitely did not disappointment! It is kind of pricey but you get quality meat!! We ordered a beef platter for about $105, you get a prime rib eye steak, marinated beef cubes and sliced prime rib eye steak. They provide sauces and side dishes which pairs with the steak really well. The waiter/waitress' are also helpful if you are new to kbbq. They ask how you want the steak to be cooked and also provide recommendations if you want a different taste. I personally liked the marinated beef cubes a lot! I paired it with their scallion/vegetable side dish. The meat just melts in your mouth with a lot of flavor from the marinade. So good! In addition, we also got the "Hangjeongsal" or pork jowls. I don't really like pork, but this pork was really good with their side dishes specifically kimchi and the vegetables! The waiter that cooked it for us suggested that we cook it a little longer to make it crispy and I'm glad we went with his recommendation! The crispness adds some texture to the protein and gives it a nice taste. I definitely did not expect to like it that much but it was enjoyable!! Although pricey for the amount of meat you get, the quality and service is top notch. Not to mention the decor was beautiful! The food, we had fried chicken for starters because the sauces they have (soy garlic and sweet chili) has shellfish in it and my date is allergic to shellfish. Now on to the main course we had beef brisket and lamb chops with 7 little bowls of different vegetables comes with the meat. The main course was pretty good, however nothing to brag about. The service was below average. Our waiter act as if u was asking him to do something out of his job duties, service can be better . We ordered the assorted beef platter (sliced prime short rib, prime ribeye, and marinated cubed prime short rib), the marinated Korean fried chicken (half soy garlic, half sweet chili), the japchae (stir fried glass noodles with mixed vegetables), and the egg souffle. The panchan had a good variety of dishes including fish cake, noodles, kimchi, etc. The beef was good quality and was cooked medium as requested. However, the other dishes were not that great. The Korean fried chicken was crispy but the sauce was not that flavorful. The japchae was a really small portion. The egg souffle was overcooked and tasted burnt. Stopped by for lunch around 2 today. TLDR amazing food and amazing service, definitely come here for a solid Korean bbq and other dishes! We had some reservations and were pretty much seated immediately (which is not always the case with reservations at other establishments!) after we sat down we were able to ask our waitress Annelise a few questions about how the menu worked, and not only did she answer our questions, but she was super enthusiastic to make recommendations. You can definitely tell they're proud of the food they serve here, and it did not disappoint! The Galbi Jjim was amazingly tender and practically melts in your mouth. Oh and did I mention they handle the cooking here for you? Later on another waitress Sue dropped by our table and even helped to show us how to eat the garlic clove that came with our meal. I came here with 3 other friends and we each picked our main dish & shared two appetizers as well as saeng makgeolli. We tried everyone else's main dishes as well and we all agreed that mine in particular was awful. I had the kimchi jigae for $16.95 and it was the worst that I ever had! They barely gave any pieces of pork so it was mostly kimchi and tofu in a very salty broth. Honestly, I wasn't too impressed with any other dishes but at least they all tasted better than mine. This place never disappoint! It's actually our second time eating here and we had a great time! We were seated at the third floor this time and they are pretty packed for a Wednesday night. Foods are really delicious! Last time we ordered the Beef platter and some starters but this time we get to try the Antoya Galbi as well, which is recommended by our server and it was so delicious! 10/10 Service is really great despite of being busy, our asian server with colored hair was very attentive and very warm! We noticed that there's only two servers on our floor so we are expecting a slow service but they are really quick! She cooked our meat into perfection!
