This is Andy and my Tomahawk Steaks.

This Market is within the Cal Mart Market. When you go ask for Andy or any of the guys can help. They can order any special meat, fish or poultry you will need. They are busy so please be patient. Everything is in I've and arranged so you see their proteins through the glass. Makes for great ambiance. Ha ok I said the last sentence to get the for ambiance. But in all seriousness- Great service and quality meats, chickens and fish.

Leave it to Groupon to show me a place that I have never been to, and a deal worth buying. So I found this deal on Groupon for their meat department and decided to check it out. Due to Covid-19, there is a rather long wait whether you want to buy groceries or just go to the meat department by itself. But, these are the times that we're living in. Once you get inside the meat department as well as the sea food and culture department are on your right hand side. They all look very fresh and it's a great little meat shop within the grocery store. It was a great find by Groupon. I picked up a nice rib eye steak and some great lamb chops and I have to admit that the service here was quick, the meat was fresh, and if I live close by I would definitely come here more often. A shut out to all the Grocery store employees, and local butchers whom I thank for literally helping me put food on the table!

To make stuffed cannelloni, for tomorrow.

I was looking for a well-seasoned ground meat to make homemade, stuffed cannelloni and wow, Antonelli's delivered. From air-chilled Mary's organic chicken to beautiful triple thick, bone-in pork chops and gorgeous cuts of salmon and snapper, these guys have you covered. Previously, I've ordered Marin Sun Farms shanks for bone broth and this shopping trip, Caggiano, a flavorful ground lamb sausage with pork, arugula and red wine. With ricotta, onions, garlic and chopped fresh basil, it made a truly spectacular filling for cannelloni. At $10.99/lb. that ground lamb sausage was a splurge but totally worth it! And, I only needed a pound to make 5-6 delicious dinners. The butcher offered to take off the casings so it was fast and easy to unwrap and brown. Don't wait until you throw a dinner party or holiday dinner: Treat yourself to the fantastic meat & fish at Antonelli's, inside Cal-Mart market. Life is short; when you have a few dollars extra, splurge. It's especially sweet when you share with friends or neighbors. And the adjacent bakery has heavenly, all-butter baked goods. Abondanza! Enjoy every bite.

These guys are awesome! We stopped in here to buy some steak to sous vide, and the butcher recommended the ribeye steak. We bought one prime steak for my husband and one choice for myself, both of which came out beautifully, were marbled to perfection and tasted amazing. The price, $28 and $24 per pound, respectively, is pretty comparable to what we would have paid at Whole Foods but it feels great to be supporting a local business. The guy behind the counter even offered to vacuum seal it for us, but we planned on seasoning it at home. They were friendly, attentive, and made me realize how nice it is to get personal attention and advice as I'm not really an expert when it comes to red meat. When we got home and unwrapped the steaks, they had even written "his" and "hers" on the butcher paper - too cute! I had a Groupon that I wanted to use and he threw in an extra slice of bacon so I was getting the full value of my Groupon - gotta love that!

I did find a place where no meat would be available in SF . Once I started thinking of this place I started to map out hella meal possibilities with me creating dishes like San Francisco's native dish Cioppino and also making some salmon dishes along with some okay shrimp dishes like fried shrimp, skewer shrimps on the barbie, and scallop ceviche. The real feast on Good Friday would be getting the Dungeness Crab paired with some garlic noodles . This place has been a Mission District seafood institution and it's called Sun Fat Seafood company ( a former employee started Basa Seafood Express on 24th street). On a Spring stroll on Mission street between 22nd and 23rd streets I went inside a fresh seafood market. Inside you will see live lobsters in a tank. You will also see Dungeness Crab during crab season and also find of variety of fresh oysters selection along with scallops. You will also see sushi rolls when available along with different types of fishes. This place was the solution I was looking for to replace meat cravings and replace with seafood during Good Friday feast. This is definitely the place if you like it crustaceans and fish cooked or raw in SF. Inside Sun Fat Seafood you find some raw fish "fillet" to make your meal for " Good Friday" as some will "pray" and enjoy the fresh catch of seafood in San Francisco city by the "Bay" It's almost Good Friday so I feel "bless "I am alive and remembering those who passed away in peace may they "rest" I walk the streets of the Mission I "reminisce" and honor them on Good Friday feast as I eat some crab that's "Dungeness"

The majority of tourist visiting in SF congregate by the water to grab something with seafood in it. Throughout the city you can find delicious crab in dishes native to San Francisco like Cioppino . You will also find seafood in many dishes around the city restaurants like ceviche ,honey walnut prawn , shrimp scampi, and Dungeness crab with garlic noodles. You cannot go to the Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco at the largest Japantown in America this April weekend without enjoying a sushi dish with salmon. One thing about seafood dishes is it's easy to cook. You can't really screw up cooking a salmon or some shrimps. There is one place which has all the seafood essentials when you are miles away from the water in the Richmond ( not the city of Richmond) District in San Francisco . It's on Clement street and it's called the Seafood Center. On a Spring stroll by the See's Candies on 9th Avenue you will see the Seafood Center up the block on Clement. Inside you will see lobsters and crabs for sale which will save you time shopping and traveling to Fisherman's Wharf. You will see hella fish heads on an ice in a line up. The fishes inside are caught locally and some are caught as far as New Zealand. They also have shrimps that look okay along with Manila Clams. This is a good place to grab seafood to take home and cook or have it raw all four seasons in San Francisco. San Francisco is the home of Cioppino "inventor" which you can grab the ingredients for it on Clement street at the" Seafood Center" they have hella fresh crab meat and shrimp that's so "tender" you can see the all seafood once you "enter" So go and "grab "some seafood like shrimp , lobster, Manila clams and some "crab "and see the fish on ice by the "slab" it's located on Clement past the Sees Candies between "9th and 10th Ave"

My most recent visit for lunch on a Saturday was very busy! The line was out the door but they move fast and the food comes out even quicker. There are plenty of outdoor and indoor tables where you sit wherever you. There is self service water with and without lemon throughout the location. Pros: Quick and friendly service Tasty lobster rolls, lobster chowder, and crab sandwiches Con: Parking is VERY limited. They have a small lot in the back and you can park against their fence but over the weekend it's almost impossible. There is street parking but also a little hard if you want to park directly nearby. I parked about 1.5 blocks away on the next street parallel to the restaurant. The naked lobster roll is one of my favorites because you can really taste the meatiness of the lobster. You can tell it is fresh in every way with the buttery brioche bread. The tray comes loaded with chips and a side of Cole slaw. If you come with friends, I recommend getting a bowl of the lobster soup to share. Dipping the chips into the soup is chef's kiss! If you are a smaller party, you can always get the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup. But the better deal is to get the soup to share on the side since the lobster roll is $39 vs the 1/2 lobster roll and cup of soup is $37. If choosing between the which lobster roll to get, I opt for the naked roll because of the freshness and it is not as heavy. The dressed lobster roll has a good amount of flavor and pairs well with the bread, it's a little heavier because of the mayo and butter brioche bread. They don't use a ton of mayo in it so it's not as bad as you may think. I've had the twin tails in the past and I can definitely say it was very easy to get the lobster out. Sometimes some places make it more difficult and people don't want to really dig in with their hands. Safe to say it was very easy to eat. Over the years, I've seen the price go up with inflation unfortunately. So I definitely still come but as a little treat to myself or if I were to come celebrate a special occasion.

For the leg of lamb, I think most people get a whole leg of lamb. That was way too much for me and I think the butcher thought I was confused when I asked for less and asked me what I was doing with it. He ended up saying he could give me a half leg of lamb and I agreed. Thar was about 3 and a half pounds (bone included) which was the perfect amount. I seared it and then braised it and the meat fell off the bone. Delicious and the price was pretty good. I was cooking my first pork chop and decided to come here to get it. Their pork isn't labeled as Berkshire or Duroc or anything but that probably keeps the price down. For chops, they had boneless, bone in, and double cut (which was also bone in). I mentioned I wanted it to be about 2 inches thick and the butcher said to get the double cut.I got 2 beautiful thick pork chops for $6.99 a pound so about $18 total. The regular cut bone in pork chops were the same price though obviously smaller. I brined this overnight and reverse seared it and it was great. The chop was a loin chop- loin and then a tenderloin nugget- not a pure rib chop. Cooked really nicely and was tender which I think was partially the overnight brine and also their pork. They do sell some vegetables and grocery supplies if you want to just make a single stop. They also have a deli with some sandwiches that looked good and prepared foods. I was very focused on buying the things I came in for and getting on with my day both times but I would like to take a closer look in the future as it looked good.
